Corzine's permanent expatriation plans may have to be delayed as Corzine is called in to explain why he didn't leak news of MF Global's demise to Congress ahead of time so the 435 insider traders could profit on the outcome.

  • MF GLOBAL TRUSTEE LEARNED OF $1.2 BILLION SHORTFALL AT WEEKEND
  • HOUSE PANEL WILL HOLD HEARING ON MF GLOBAL FAILURE ON DEC. 15
  • CORZINE CALLED BY HOUSE FINANCIAL SERVICES OVERSIGHT PANEL

In the meantime, the theft at MF Global is getting more and more staggering by the minute:

  • MF GLOBAL TRUSTEE HAS $50 MLN IN BOUNCED CHECKS, LAWYER SAYS
  • MF GLOBAL ESTIMATE OF SHORTFALL COULD STILL RISE, LAWYER SAYS
  • MF GLOBAL TRUSTEE HAS TO BE CONSERVATIVE, LAWYER SAYS
  • MF GLOBAL'S $1.2 BILLION SHORTFALL ESTIMATE IS PRELIMINARY
  • MF GLOBAL TRUSTEE TO DEAL WITH BOUNCED CHECKS, LAWYER SAYS

When all is said and done, the total theft will be at least $1.5 billion as we expected on November 2.

Cop to the fact corzine used the customer funds not to keep his trade on, but to bail out his counterparties. If you want the money back, check the transfers to the house book a week leading up to the bankruptcy.

I thought the CME guaranteed MFG and others with 100B in collateral? Duffy stood with Daley in Chicago and made that announcement last year. So WTF? They can't cover a lousey 1.2B?!?!?!? Wait until the other hedge funds start collapsing like dominos. Maybe this will finally start our death spiral. Hopefully.....

I don't know the rules exactly, but each member puts up a "default fund" which MAY be used in the event a firm goes under. However, there's no mention of what to do in the rules when fraud is involved, and please note the "may be used." Aside from that, I don't think the other members really want to lose the money bailing this out nor do the shareholders of the CME, which leaves the ... customers.

The money is never 100% safe regardless, it's still up to the firms and the exchange to make the customers whole.

2 points

1) Where the hell is the CME? Oh, I thought the exchange that promotes itself as the "only" place to do business because customers are "protected" would be out in front? No? How many accounts have to get fucked blind [MF & RefCO among others not so publicized] before this whorehouse is exposed for what it is: a conduit for political and business slush money to elites.

2) Corzine: "Members of Congress, I respectfully invoke my 5th amendment right and refuse to answer any questions." This arrogant prick ought to be taken out back and shot. Where the fuck is Che when you need him?

Y'know, if I was doin a prison stretch for, say, fraud or bank robbery, I'd be quite pissed that the House of Representatives never held a hearing to investigate the potential impropriety of my alleged deeds. Or that an oversight panel wasn't convened to determine if I'd violated some Fraud & Bank Robbery regulation. Or that I wasn't allowed to appear in front of these august groups to tell them I had no recollection of the events in question and that I was simply doing business in the best way I felt possible and was unaware that any wrongdoing was taking place and if there was, why wasn't the Fraud and Bank Robbery oversight committee overseeing my activities?

Yeah, sitting in my prison cell, I would probably feel very strongly that my due process rights were massively violated.

TO HELL WITH AMERICANS & SCREW OVER THE AMERICAN PEOPLE,

CORZINE STANDS FOR ISRAEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Princeton Israel event rallies students and pols ‘Tigers’ earn stripes for anniversary fest featuring Corzine

Addie Lerner welcomes Gov. Jon Corzine to the Tigers for Israel celebration. Photo by Marilyn Silverstein

A Princeton University student group recently marked Israel’s 60th anniversary by initiating an intergenerational celebration of the Jewish state.

Gov. Jon Corzine and U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ Dist. 12) headlined the March 27 event at Princeton’s Prospect House. It brought together some 80 Israel advocates and activists, including leaders from the student, faculty, political, diplomatic, governmental, and religious communities.

The spur for the evening was an initiative by Princeton freshman Addie Lerner of Newton, Mass., leader of a nine-member political cohort from Tigers for Israel, which was formerly known as PIPAC, the Princeton Israel Public Affairs Committee.

Lerner is a graduate of the Saban National Political Leadership Training Seminar conducted by AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which cosponsored the event along with the university’s Center for Jewish Life/Hillel.

“Since we only really formed in January, this is our first big initiative,” Lerner said in an interview before the program. “We’re a subset of Tigers for Israel focusing on United States-Israel relations and initiatives.

“We’re hoping to show student leaders that their support for this issue is very much appreciated,” she said. “We also hope to show the university community and the community at large that the United States-Israel relationship is an important issue.”

Corzine, in his remarks, emphasized the importance of the Tigers for Israel initiative and of raising one’s voice in support of Israel.

“I think it is absolutely vital that we speak up,” he said. “We are the closest of allies.… The United States has to hold true to that relationship.

“What you all are doing is incredibly important, and for New Jersey, it’s even more important,” the governor said. He pointed to the success of the NJ-Israel Commission and to the “living relationship” and strong partnership between Israeli and New Jersey businesses.

“We have an incredibly vital, historic link between the Jewish people and Israel across our state,” Corzine said. “Our futures are tied together.”

Holt spoke about “the ever-strengthening relationship” between Israel and the United States.

“The United States has stood with Israel in its darkest hour, in 1973, and stood with Israel when the Scuds were raining down, and even today, when Hizbullah rockets are raining down,” the congressman said.

“As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Israel, I’m really proud that the United States and Israel have kept this special relationship,” he said. “We have a responsibility to help Israel not just survive, but thrive. I strongly believe in the dream that has become the reality of Israel.”

Sharon Regev, consul for public affairs at the Israeli consulate in New York, warned the gathering of the threat to Israel from state-sponsored terrorism.

“There is no better time to cultivate and support the State of Israel, but there is also no more important time,” the consul said. “The greatest threat to Israel comes from Iran.

“This is a critical, critical time for us,” she said, “and with the support of people like you, we will not only overcome these challenges, we will thrive.”

The evening was made possible by a grant from the Jewish Funders Network, according to Rabbi Julie Roth, executive director of Center for Jewish Life/Hillel.

“I think it’s absolutely terrific that this many people came together to talk about Israel and the relationship between Israel and the United States,” said Trenton attorney Lionel Kaplan, former AIPAC president and board chair. “And it’s terrific to see young people involved.”

The final speaker of the evening, Princeton senior Rob Biederman of Chappaqua, NY, spoke about the power of his generation to stand up for Israel.

“For the first time, our generation will have an opportunity to change the world,” said Biederman, immediate past president of Princeton’s undergraduate student government. “We no longer need to scream to be heard. We need to make sure that politicians are hearing the right message from us about Israel.”

Biederman’s imperative was one that resonated with Corzine. “I think the young gentleman got it right,” the governor said in a brief interview as he was departing Prospect House. “We better make sure our generation passes the torch — and passes the torch of the ties between the United States and Israel.”

THE AMERICAN COLONIES OF TALMUDIC ISRAEL

The Enemy Within: AIPAC

July 22, 2005
by Brian Harring, Domestic Intelligence Reporter

Sixteen months ago, I came across, not entirely by accident, a series of domestic intelligence reports from a well-established American agency. These dealt with a series of parallel investigations by three American intelligence/counterintelligence agencies, into the background, composition and actions of AIPAC: American-Israel Public Affairs Committee. From reading this material, it becomes very obvious that this so-called “political action” group is both a propaganda arm for the state of Israel and, even more important, an important cog in their ongoing and very through espionage inside the United States. Another salient point is the tremendous political and economic power this group wields inside the Beltway. In point of fact, it would not be inaccurate to state that current American foreign policy with regards to the Middleeast is entirely dictated and controlled by powerful entities whose sole allegiance is to the state of Israel.

Last week, I submitted to the public a list of the members of Congress who took money, very willingly, from AIPAC and this week, I am extracting material on the composition of AIPAC and am supplying what one of the reports calls “persons of interest” in the United States, clearly American political and business figures who are sympathetic to both the geo-political needs of Israel and its money.

First, I will give a condensed overview of AIPAC and follow this with a list of their top leadership and a roster of “persons of interest.”

Background

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is considered the most powerful political/foreign pressure group in Washington. Originally set up in 1951 by I.L. (Sy) Kenen, as the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs, it was designed from the beginning as a very successful way to circumvent the State Department’s rules on the registration of foreign government lobbies, and was designed to appeal directly to Congress to encourage, by any means, the continuing financial and military aid to Israel. The lobby changed its name to American Israel Public Affairs Committee by the end of the decade. AIPAC is a membership organization and currently boasts 65,000 members across all 50 of the American states. According to the organization’s website, “through more than 2,000 meetings with members of Congress” it’s activists “help pass more than 100 pro-Israel legislative initiatives a year”.

In 1985, Likud supporters also founded the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP) which worked in close tandem with AIPAC and Israeli Embassy personnel to expand that lobby's dominating influence over pro-Israel-anti-Muslim policy in Washington. It was specifically designed to supercede the Brookings Institute which was viewed as “not sufficiently supportive of the State of Israel and its political and military” needs. By the mid-’80s, AIPAC had been a prime factor in the defeat or crippling of initiatives and legislators deemed not friendly enough towards Israel, and the passage of billions of unsuspecting US taxpayer’s money in grants to Israel and to “sympathetic” pro-Israel “action” groups inside the United States.

These things always end the same way:  Mr. Corzine, do you plead crooked or do you plead stupid?  Answer:  I plead stupid.  I didin't know anything, I've never known anything, I'm just the PR front man, I didn't finish first grade, I can't read or write.  Well Governor, Senator, or whatever greeting you prefer, how do you explain the high profile positions you have held during your career?  Answer:  I'm a Democrat, and I can fool almost all my constiuency with one hand tied behind my back because they are more stupid than I am, but that's not saying much because I'm plenty stupid.  Congress:  We find the defendant, Mr. Corzine, stupid and sentence him to walk freely among the general population of this great nation.  Thank you for your time Mr. Corzine.  BTW, are you more stupid than that twerp Timmy what's his name over at Treasury?  Answer:  Probably not.   Good day.

John F. Kennedy Opposed Israel’s Power

November 22, 2011 is the 48th anniversary of the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy. One part of JFK’s character which will not be covered by the mass media is his courageous opposition to the power Israel enjoys over the United States of America.

In the thought provoking book, They Dare to Speak Out by Paul Findley we read on page 114 that during Kennedy’s campaign for president in 1960 he had a meeting with some prominent Jews. Kennedy was very insulted when one of the Jews said they knew Kennedy’s campaign was in financial difficulty and that he and his Jewish friends would “help and help significantly” John Kennedy’s campaign if, as president, Kennedy “would allow them to set the course of Middle East policy over the next four years.” It was this meeting that made JFK want to work for a law that would have the U.S. Treasury pay a set and equal amount for all politicians running for president who secured a to be determined percentage of signatures of people supporting their campaign. He saw this as the only way to prevent the nightmare of today, which has not only the President, but the overwhelming majority of people in Congress bought and paid for by the very powerful Israeli lobby. Israel’s lobby is so strong that hardly any politician will disobey their orders regarding U.S. Middle East foreign policy. And that includes starting wars, such as the war in Iraq, which benefit Israel and harm America and the rest of the world.

In Seymour Hersh’s insightful book, The Samson Option, which addresses Israel’s nuclear weapons arsenal, Hersh covers John Kennedy’s fight to stop Israel’s nuclear proliferation. He writes that Kennedy was “fixated” on stopping the Jewish state’s nuclear build up.

Just another attempt at obfuscation by Big Media machine. Lets bury them!

ROFLMAO - and to think that the CME just went to our criminal politicians to demand more tax breaks...or they will pickup their marbles and go someplace else.

Not that it will happen - but - I sure wish the politicians would tell them to fucking move already. FL, MS and AL are desperate for more criminals. They cannot afford NYC - or else they would already be there - with the other criminals.

Ron Paul for President!

Jon Corzine to Jail! (and the rest of his "senior management team" too!)

Barack Obama to his Presidential Library! (it should rate right up there with GWB's)

Here's a precedent.

(Reuters) - A former employee of author Mark Twain's historic Connecticut home who admitted to embezzling more than $1 million from it in a long-running scheme was sentenced on Monday to 3-1/2 years in prison and ordered to pay restitution of and taxes on the stolen funds.

So for 1.5B Corzine should get 300 years and ordered to pay restitution. How much is Corzine worth? Where are his assets?

I would really like to know if anyone reported a robbery and if a report was taken.

Seriously, if I had an account that got pilfered, I would have had a complaint filed and a police report taken.

Theft is theft.

Soon to be the "Committed suicide by shooting himself in the back 13 times..." card.

That only happens in Arkansas to those who are friends of Bill and Hillary.
