Here Is Which GOP Candidate According To Bloomberg Readers Understands The Economy Best

Tyler Durden's picture

Is anyone surprised?

And since the biggest challenge facing the ponzi scheme that is the United States is purely economic, does this country not deserve a president who actually does not need an abacus when doing simple addition?

Cain, IMHO, lost nomination last night when he named Alan Greenspan as best Fed Governor.  Perhaps he is correct if he meant Greenspan was the Best Fed Governor FOR THE Fed and it's owner banks.  Certainly he was not the best Fed Governor for Americans or the United States of America's economy.

ATTENTION ALL RON PAUL SUPPORTERS.

Don't vote until you read these shocking facts about Ron Paul:

1. Ron Paul has mentioned numerous times that he would like to ABOLISH the Federal Reserve bank of the united states. According to top Ivy League economics professors this could cause economic chaos throughout the global economy.

2. Ron Paul has made no secret of his desire to completely end the war on terror. This will put Americans at serious risk of acts of terrorism by Islamic Extremists, at a time when our freedom is despised and envied throughout the middle east.

3. Ron Paul has expressed his desire to end the civil rights act and legalize slavery at the state level.

Mr Paul has marketed himself as a revolutionary and a voice for the younger generation, but the truth is he is just another arrogant libertarian whose views have gone unchallenged for far too long, and its time someone had the courage to speak the truth about his policies.

Irony, its a fine art.

Irony From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Irony (from the Ancient Greek ???????? eir?neía, meaning dissimulation or feigned ignorance)[1] is a rhetorical device, literary technique, or situation in which there is a sharp incongruity or discordance that goes beyond the simple and evident intention of words or actions.

Ironic statements (verbal irony) typically imply a meaning in opposition to their literal meaning. A situation is often said to be ironic (situational irony) if the actions taken have an effect exactly opposite from what was intended. The discordance of verbal irony may be deliberately created as a means of communication (as in art or rhetoric). Descriptions or depictions of situational ironies, whether in fiction or in non-fiction, serve a communicative function of sharpening or highlighting certain discordant features of reality. Verbal and situational irony are often used for emphasis in the assertion of a truth. The ironic form of simile, used in sarcasm, and some forms of litotes emphasize one's meaning by the deliberate use of language which states the opposite of the truth — or drastically and obviously understates a factual connection.

In dramatic irony, the author causes a character to speak or act erroneously, out of ignorance of some portion of the truth of which the audience is aware. In other words, the audience knows the character is making a mistake, even as the character is making it. This technique highlights the importance of a particular truth by portraying a person who is strikingly unaware of it.

Sen. Barry Goldwater opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 because of the inclusion of Title II, which had seriously deleterious effects on private property rights. His record on supporting minorities' rights was stellar. The 1964 legislation did not end slavery, so opposing it would not have reinstated it. It must be nice to be so oblivious to reality.

Paul understands that the Civil rights act is not only unconstitutional but represents the ridiculous notion that Governments can legislate and mandate social conduct  (the freedom to think and act  in a certian way).  It forced black people to integrate with white people, something that hurt blacks ( and America) immensely.  Watch the bench at a football game. Blacks sit with blacks and whites sit with whites, not because it's raciest but because it is perfectly natural.

The idea that Americans are forced, by the federal government, to hire blacks because they are black and women because they are women and fat people because they are fat and gays because they are gay and transvestites because they are transvestites should stop and make you think about what America has become.

Ron Paul is exactly correct on the Civil rights act and the similar laws that followed.  Are you free to make your decisions or does the Government make them for you? One or the other.. does'nt matter what the decision is. You are free or you are not.

@ MDB, even the average American is beginning to realize that what you are saying is not true.

In response to point 1, those same poison ivy league economics professors got us into this mess and continue to advise more of the same reckless debt laden anit-solutions. They have had their chance and failed miserably. Case in point, the entire western world is based on and has tried these very ideas you support. The entire western world is failing because of these ideas. And you suggest more of the same.

In response to point 2, Ron Paul is onto something when he says it is our nation building and interference that angers the middle east. Hypothetically if America was suffering from violent protests, civil war, rampant civil rights abuses, etc, and another country came over here to reinstate democracy then Americans would violently oppose the invader, regardless of the intent of the invader. The aggressor will always be viewed negatively and be opposed regardless of the intent or justification used. The fact is that our country has been doing this for a long time, and these feelings they have toward us are generational now and deep seated. How about a peace initiative, a constructive dialogue, and exchange of ideas and culture. That would do much more to reduce terrorism. It is obvious that when you bomb a country, kill its people, interfere in its sovereignty, that the reaction will be negative and have consequences.

In response to point 3, Ron Paul has never said anything about legalizing slavery, In fact what he has said is that he is a fierce supporter of individual rights. Seems to me that if individual rights are enforced then liberties for all are protected and all of this other legislation serves no purpose. I think what Ron Paul is saying that much of the civil rights legislation only divides the people along ethic lines because it gives an elevated status to specified groups. Once again if individual rights are enforced then no one can infringe or violate anyone elses rights regardless of ethnicity or any other factor.

Americans are waking up the the realities above, hopefully it is not to late. They are seeing through the very propaganda that you and the powers that be promote. They realize the status quo has failed them and are demanding change. The ideas you mentioned have been tried without success for several generations now and have not yielded positive results. To continue to promote them is foolish and detrimental. The American people will stop the likes of you, the sooner the better.

I agree that liberterianism is not the solution, niether is communism, socialism, progressivism, conservatism or any other ism you can conjure up. All of these paradigms have failed, we have enough historical examples to back this up. Any idea has its strong and weak points. We need to have a dialogue and critically think about what our goals are, how to achieve and then implement them. A wise ZH'er once said that each of these ism's presents a dichotomy, each of these paradigms has logical failures. There is no easy solution, there is not one ism that will be the penultimate solution.

I do not agree with Ron Paul on every issue. But I will take honesty over falsehood, a step in the right direction versus more of the same, justice over fraud, equity or inequity. Ron Paul stands out as a beacon of hope. Get on board pal.

Only up until the point his current campaign manager dies uninsured/uninsurable and deep in debt like the last one.

When the campaign manager gets sick and dies, so does the campaign.

But he is not good in selling lies and false promises. Which unfortunately is the main thing his would-be sponsors will pay him for.

Dynamic duo., lol. The millionaires will all say I"m leaving America!!! heh heh heh, but then, since the Tax Law exists whereby those permananltly leaving have to return 1/2 of their wealth, none will leave. That tax, signed in as a rider to the Veterans bill a couple years ago, basiclly assures that people will cooperate.

Of course those that leave will only help pay down the Debt. anyway :)

the correct answer to which Fed Chief was the best woudl be

None of the above

probably also true for all the declared candidates for president in 2012 from both parties.

Still, who in their right mind would want that?

Maybe someone successful in business who is terminally ill and wil d the right things because he or she has no future to be concerned with.
