International Criminal Court Confims Gadaffi Has Been Captured (Update: The Son, Not The Colonel)

Tyler Durden's picture

Update: while the initial bulletin was unclear just which Gadaffi has been captured it now appears it was referring to Saif al-Islam, the Colonel's son. The end game for the others, however, is likely just a matter of time.

According to Reuters. And with that, the Libyan central bank hands over its keys to the LBMA.

Jesus ususally the ICC only steps in 20 years after an atrocity.

Aren't they busy putting those who committed "acts" of genocide in Rwanada on trial?

To maintain the ponzi, the West had to find the gold somewhere to hand over to Chavez.

Yes, but he did much worse than killing people.

One seldom mentioned fact by western politicians and media pundits: the Central Bank of Libya is 100% State Owned ... Currently, the Libyan government creates its own money, the Libyan Dinar, through the facilities of its own central bank. Few can argue that Libya is a sovereign nation with its own great resources, able to sustain its own economic destiny. One major problem for globalist banking cartels is that in order to do business with Libya, they must go through the Libyan Central Bank and its national currency, a place where they have absolutely zero dominion or power-broking ability.

Thats worse than killing people to the banking cartel. Imagine if that caught on.

I think they will send some agents to Lybia and somehow take the gold away and put gold-plated tungsten bars in their central bank. This will buy time for the Chavez delivery. Until the Lybian people realize they dont have real gold in their depository all hell will have been breaking loose in EU and US already.

Thank God he is gone. Look at all the crazy shit he has done.

[Libyans] are entitled to free treatment, and their hospitals provide the best in the world of medical equipment. Education in Libya is free, capable young people have the opportunity to study abroad at government expense. When marrying, young couples receive 60,000 Libyan dinars (about 50,000 US dollars) of financial assistance. Non-interest state loans, and as practice shows, undated. Due to government subsidies the price of cars is much lower than in Europe, and they are affordable for every family. Gasoline and bread cost a penny, no taxes for those who are engaged in agriculture. The Libyan people are quiet and peaceful, are not inclined to drink, and are very religious.

there is no denying at least one very popular achievement of the Libyan government: it brought water to the desert by building the largest and most expensive irrigation project in history, the US$33 billion GMMR (Great Man-Made River) project. Even more than oil, water is crucial to life in Libya.

Yes, tyrants can really get things done.  No need to bother with pesky things like the rule of law, elections or an organized vocal opposition.

Yes look at the rebels first major move before they even ousted Gaddafi. Rebellion started Feb.15, and they started a central bank on March 28th. Who do you think was backing them or was it their idea since they are so interested in being free to first start a central bank?  Afghanistan and Iraq have free elections. It worked out well, the people voted in our puppets. A win win.

Yep - noted that. One of first things the "rebels" did was set up a competing central bank.

Libyan Dinars? Not any more. The rebels are tools for the banksters. Why setup a Central Bank that will take orders from the BIS as first order of business?
