Iran Escalates Again, Cuts Off Oil Shipments To Spain
Those hoping for a quick and painless resolution to the Iranian question may have just seen their hopes dashed, following the breaking news from Iranian Press TV, according to which not only is Iran not seeking to appease its Western counterparts, but is, in fact escalating. From Press TV: "Tehran has cut oil supply to Spain after stopping crude export to Greece as part of its countersanctions, unnamed sources confirmed on Tuesday. Tehran also mulls cutting oil supply to Germany and Italy." "Countersactions" - lovely: another Swiss watch plan by the insolvent developed world. Said otherwise, one can hardly threaten to do something to a country, which is already doing so voluntarily, in the process hurting Europe's already crippled economies even more by removing the cheapest source of energy for both. Which however begs the question: just how much more Iranian crude are China and India importing despite promises to the contrary, and open warnings from the US not to do so?

"Can we just bomb those evil motherfuckers back into the stone age already and take their oil as reperations for 1979"
Sure, we can as long as we allow Iran to take Florida and Texas and bomb the shit out of the U.S. for 1953.
We didn't use profits from Iraq's oil to cover the cost of liberating them; thanks to the ethical delusions of the left who would think such behavior was really the "reason" for the war.
So what makes you think we'll do the same with Iran when the current delusion is the country is filled with wonderful western tollerant Persians under the thumb of a few wacko religious leaders and a Dinner-Jacket?
It cost a good bit just to (almost) get back to pre-invasion production levels, but I'm curious: where do you think the Iraq oil profits are currently going?
Seriously, all of you who don't see the move as escalation are either archetype gen-whatever babies whose mommy protected them at every turn or idiotic 99ers who thought they received an education from the jokes of "higher" education that emerged from the PC revolution of the late 80s.
The move IS escalation because of the players at the table. Instead of playing ball Iran just punched the EU in the nose. That kids IS escalation.
So you are right they will sell their oil to the BRICs, but aside from China [which is on a clear glide path to a hard landing; soft landings based on the #s from the Chinese gov. is like using Pinto crash data from Ford], all the other BRICs need the US & EU demand to grow.
China is not yet sufficient to keep the BRICs from their own hard landing as a result of the US/EU growing more slowly than the lethargy currently seen under the CB cabal's pumping.
So wake up girls. It's not about what you believe, it's about what the players at the table believe and are willing to do to get what they want and need.
It seems to me that Iran is showing to the world that Europe's strongest strategic card, it's power as a trading block, was played and meant nothing.
Given the current Economic situation and the structural power shift going on in the world from Developed to Developing Nations, the EU should've SFTU (and I say this as an European) rather than playing to the game setup by the current, arch-conservative and xenophobic Israeli Government who through the Jewish Lobby controls a large number of American political lapdogs.
This is one big strategic clusterfuck that we Europeans should've stayed out off while we try to sort the problems in our own backyard to have some change of remaining at least a medium economic power in the 21st century.
So yeah, Iran just escalated and, having played all it's cards and lost, there is absolutly nothing that Europe can do about it
Funny. Iran as powerhouse spending most of its GDP on fuel subsidies. Hilarious. It is another global power like Iraq with a population prepared to die in martyrs' blood and scare off the feminised Westerners. Hilarious. Is this a new movie ?
Iranians should drink oil they cannot afford to burn it in car engines without subsidy
It's a peculiar interpretation to say that when a guy punches you BACK after you split his lip, he's "escalating."
The more appropriate term is "response" or "reaction" or "retaliation."
"Escalation" falsely implies that what Iran is doing is somehow more destructive or harmful than what has been to done to it first.
That was a nice try, tho.
Old East European proverb:
"The Jew cries out in pain as he strikes you"
Your semantics does not change reality. Thanks for proving my point about gen-whatever confusing education with psychobable relativism.
You THINK you're dismissing semantics, but in fact, you're dismissing REALITY. I guess you're trying, at least.
They're just doing it to keep the oil price high. See my post above.
I wonder which fronts the Iranians use for oil futures trading ? Do you think they fron through London or Switzerland ? If they antagonise Germany they will regret it because Germany is more important to Russia than Iran ever will be
Actually no one takes Germany seriously, neither its supposed EU satellites and least of all its own allies.
Then again, i expect Merkel to return from her vacation and announce a stop in Iranian fuel imports anyway...ya know, can't have Grass making too much sense and all.
Russia does and always has. Russia does not take the USA seriously any more however seeing it as a busted flush
speaking of "swiss"~~this may be somewhat choreographed
but we'd better not go there! L0L!!!
if we were to go "there" tho, we might ask: why shld SPN gert its oil fro iran instead of libya?
unhhh,...good question?
When the gas runs out its a good thing I live walking distance from the food store. Oh, wait, it takes a lot of gas to get food from the farm to the food store.
It also takes a lot of gas to run those farms. Hmmm.
Well, at least there are a bunch of fast food restaurants within walking distance. Oh, wait.
Good thing I have a lot of deer on my land. Here in Texas in the early days people survived on backstrap and honey. Too bad all the bees are dying. I guess its deer jerky and water for me. Oh, wait. Where did all the water go?
I want my mommy.
Methinks it's time to add another month to my freeze-dried food reserves.

Nukes,schmooks..
They threaten the petrodollar viability.
If we got rid of the bureaucrats at the U.N. and Europarliament,do you realize how much money we would save? But then think of all the unemployed hookers...
Ah well, cause and effect. Don't honor contracts (MF Global),don't prosecute criminals, and we don't even need to provide a plausible causus belli to go to war.
I have a gut feeling that this is going to be one long, hot summer.....
"I have a gut feeling that this is going to be one long, hot summer....."
I really hope so, last summer was shit. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/aug/31/uk-summer-coolest-18-years
And China will buy and stockpile every spare Iranian drop denied from Europe... for what, we wonder? China's industrial input is down, while their oil imports are only going up. Hmm, when do people or nations start turning to hoarding? When they sense that shit is about to go down. Spare capacity is fucking gone. Resource wars that will make Iraq-Afghanistan look like small potatoes are coming to a telescreen near you. Made all the uglier because our fearless leaders are completely incompetant to the big picture.
It is very disheartening that our Commander in Chief doesn't know jack fucking shit about war or geo-politics or real economics. All he knows is to how to get elected, and sign laws to print fake money, steal our stuff in times of 'need', and throw us in jail for speaking up too loud and clear against the fascist agenda, after spying on ALL OF US, of course. You only spy on your enemies... He is scared, he knows he's surrounded... by his own people waking up to the lie and the rest of the non-western world (BRICS). The disneyland facade is becoming too unprofitable to hold up anymore. And it's his own fault for being a coward and a corporate slave-puppet who only does what he is told, under pain of death most likely. And he knows it. The MSM knows it, and work overtime to hide or sugarcoat every fuckup he makes. ZH knows it, and works overtime to expose every fuckup. And should Romney be 'pre-determined', same old shit, different pile. Cowards who only pretend to know what they're doing under the cover of money are more than likely to push the wrong button in their own selfish, cowardly interests. America 'votes' for what it deserves.
It's going to be a fun 4 year election cycle coming up, isn't it?
Thanks, I feel better now

Nixon was the last POTUS who knew ANYTHING. And he was a crazy fucker. Uy.
More and more, I find myself as a tax paying American siding with the Persians, because the Chinese and Iranian foriegn trade policy of buying their way into resources by partnering seems to be more American than the Israeli and US policy of threaten, attack, invade, destory, tortue, kill, profit, and occupy forever. Are these the last desparate military acts of a failed empire? Bring back the real America -- one that the world can be proud of -- not despise.
In all things, voting, investing, campaigning: Please support Liberty and Freedom for all.

Jeez, gettaclue. Iran needs high oil prices as much as the Rockefeller-Rothschild Jews do. Their government would be bankrupt without it.

Two things to notice: 1) Natural gas prices around the world have crashed, supplies are at an all time high with demand at an all time low but consumers are paying more rather than less. 2) Oil prices are being artificially pushed over twice what they should be by threats of “closing the Straits of Hormuz.” Funny coincidence, Iran is making billions, Israel is making billions on oil futures, oil companies are making billions on artificially high prices, we send aircraft carriers over that serve no purpose other than to act as potential targets, acts only meant to push up oil prices.
The whole thing is a con. There is no new report on Iranian nuclear weapons. There is no old report on Iranian nuclear weapons.
There is no report on Iranian nuclear weapons at all. The whole thing was made up to manipulate oil prices so you wouldn’t be paying a dollar a gallon again.
It took Bush years to push gasoline over $4 per gallon, hard work for any psychopathic moron. Nobody wants to lose that just because there is no demand and we learned during the last year that oil reserves were 40% higher than previously thought.
We don’t want to begin to discuss how many thieves it takes to put on the kind of theatre we have going on in the Persian Gulf now. Poor American families are worried about their loved ones, Israeli’s are being primed, day and night, for missile attacks from Tehran that are never coming, all over the same old scam, running gas prices up at the pump while there is so much gasoline we should be dumping it in the sea to save on storage charges.
We have so much gasoline, we are hiding it on oil tankers, there is nowhere to keep it.
