Israel Puts Global Facilities On High Alert Following Warning Of Rising Iran Strike Threat

Tyler Durden's picture

While the world rejoices in the aftermath of the enjoyable diversion in which a fake market surges on fake, politically-motivated data, which incidentally refutes the warning voiced last week by the Fed Chairman who has a far better grasp of the economy than the BLS, warned last week, the confluence of real events continues to indicate that something is brewing in the middle east. Only this time it is not the US adding another aircraft carrier to the three already situated by the Straits of Hormuz. This time the smoke and fire come from Israel. ABC reports that "Israeli facilities in North America -- and around the world -- are on high alert, according to an internal security document obtained by ABC News that predicted the threat from Iran against Jewish targets will increase. "We predict that the threat on our sites around the world will increase … on both our guarded sites and 'soft' sites," stated a letter circulated by the head of security for the Consul General for the Mid-Atlantic States. Guarded sites refers to government facilities like embassies and consulates, while 'soft sites' means Jewish synagogues, and schools, as well as community centers like the one hit by a terrorist bombing in Buenos Aires in 1994 that killed 85 people." Hopefully the head of security's prediction track record is better than that of the CBO, and that the very act of prediction does not in effect "make it so." At least courtesy of this latest escalation by Israel we get a clue of what to focus on, if not so much who the actual aggressors will be. In the meantime, Iran, which has been dealing with hyperinflation for weeks now, and likely has bigger problems to worry about than focusing on "soft sites" will naturally sense this escalation as the provocation it may well be meant to be, respond in kind, which will lead to further responses of definite attacks imminent by Iran's adversaries, and so on, and so forth, until finally the dam wall finally cracks.

Regarding who may be attacked, ABC had this to say:

The head of Shin Bet, Israel's internal security service, told an audience at a closed forum in Tel Aviv recently that Iran is trying to hit Israeli targets because of what it believes are Israeli attacks on it nuclear scientists. Yoram Cohen said that Iran's Revolutionary Guard, the same militant wing of the government linked to the recent alleged plot against the Saudi ambassador to the U.S., is working tirelessly to attack Israeli and Jewish targets abroad in order to deter Israel.

And just how is attacking Jewish targets abroad detering Israel? Oh wait, the assumption is that Iran is completely irrational and willing to provoke anyone for the sake of converting itself into one big lake of glass. Or so the public should believe. Got it.

Naturally, the 'response' is already in play.

Local and regional law enforcement and intelligence officials in U.S. and Canadian cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Toronto have been monitoring the situation closely for several weeks, and have stepped up patrols at Israeli government locations and Jewish cultural and religious institutions. They have issued awareness bulletins reminding officers to stay vigilant.

Federal officials in those cities told ABC News that they have also increased their efforts to watch for any threat stream pointing to an imminent attack on either Israeli facilities, Jewish cultural or religious institutions or other "soft targets."

"When there is posturing like this, we always pay extra attention to any threat streams," one federal official said.

"The thwarted assassination plot of a Saudi official in Washington, D.C., a couple of months ago was an important data point," added the official, "in that it showed at least parts of the Iranian establishment were aware of the intended event and were not concerned about inevitable collateral damage to U.S. citizens had they carried out an assassination plot on American soil."

"That was an eye opener, showing that they did not care about any collateral damage," the federal official said.

After the disruption of the alleged plot, regional intelligence centers issued bulletins similar to the recent Israeli warning.

Here is what has to be accepted as fact for the narrative to work:

"In the past few weeks, there has been an escalation in threats against Israeli and Jewish targets around the world," one regional document noted. "Open source has reported many demonstrations against Israel are expected to be concentrated on Israeli embassies and consulates. Such demonstrations have occurred internationally as well as domestically. These demonstrations could potentially turn violent at local synagogues, restaurants, the Israeli Embassy and other Israeli sites. … Law enforcement should be vigilant when making periodic checks at all Jewish facilities.

Once that is engrained in the public conscience, the letter's climax become a foregone conclusion:

"In conclusion, we operate according to the information that Iran and Hezbollah are working hard and with great intensity to release a 'quality' attack against Israeli/Jewish sites around the world."

We've seen this play by play many times before and frankly at this point the posturing is getting just silly. What we do want to find out, however, is how will Russia get involved in all of this. Because if recent actions are any precedent, we fully expect Putin to send an aircraft carrier, purely symbolically, in the Arabian Sea himself, just to indicate that any invasion, pardon, liberation, of Iran crude, will first have to go through him. And not to mention China... or India.

Finally, because some have expressed curiosity why the USS Enterprise, the oldest aircraft carrier in the US Navy, will be the 3rd "supporting" carrier in the Straits area, when it is due for decommissioning next year, here is one video with a theory, whether correct or incorrect, on why events may be transpiring the way they are.

Yes, like the ever growing ultra orthodox jewish community who want women to walk on the other side of the road, and spit on little girls.

Ultra's who will, by the way, be in the majority in 10 years.

GLP = "God Like Productions".

It's an internet site that specialises in "conspiracy theory" with an emphasis on the conspiracy, aliens, fluff, and non-science, with a decided bias against those things called "facts", with an agressive (hidden) interior policing and censure policy. It has been actively tracked as a USA military based disinfo operation, and (like Mr Jones) makes a serious amount of cash. Thus the PDF, which is co-signed by the owner of GLP, who has had an active career with military intel: more links can be provided if need-be.

The youtube videos that started this mini-thread are produced by GLP, and the voice actor has appeared in a few Hollywood productions (he has his own IMBD page) ~ it's a slick, nicely packaged, press all the right buttons bit of psyop-warfare. You can tell by the production values, but more importantly, in the embedded software signatures. It hits: Ascendancy / Messiah / Genetic superiority / Enlightenment etc etc memes and is the left hand of the glove that produced Anders Behring Brevik on its right hand.

That's not to say I don't enjoy their videos, very stirring and amusing. But they're not produced by anyone really looking for enlightenment ~ they're a honey-trap. The real deal is a little rawer, and once you've done the 'voice' it doesn't sound quite as smooth as our actor friend. It does, on the other hand, have a more direct action on the human psyche.

Israel lacks the capability to seriously degrade Iran's infrastructure on their own.

But Obama and Panetta, by talking openly about this, have told Israel to fuck off.

So only a sufficiently gross false flag event could change the 'facts on the ground' (something the Israelis are very good at).

Would Likud, say, gas a bunch of hippies and leftists on the beach in Tel Aviv?

One thing is for sure, the neocon nutjobs over here would be cheering the whole way.

Maybe someone can help me out here with an example or two, but I can't think of a time when the US publicly and globally ranted so much about attacking another country, and made so numerous dire threats, but then didn't actually attack.

Which leads me to think that Washington will talk itself and the MSM into attacking Iran no matter what the situation and outcome, at this stage, as I don't see the US de-escalating this, until it's far too late, because in their heart-of-hearts Washington does not seem the slightest part interested in de-escalating this and preventing a war.

I thought that no-bell prize was supposedly awarded as an anticipatory hopey statement of all the peace and brown-rice the Barry would bring to the world?

Was that worth a junk? Hmm.

Actually, you'll find that the USA never entered a hot war with the USSR, and vice versa. That was the point of the entire proxy war philosophy.

Sat, 02/04/2012 - 01:03 | 2125983 Element
Element's picture

A proxy war is still a war between larger powers in which millions may die, just the same.  The US lost in Vietnam due to the indirect intervention and sustained support of the Soviets and Chinese. USSR lost in Afghanistan due to the indirect sustained intervention of the USA.  Senior US military and CIA made it very plain that US support was payback for the Soviet's role in Vietnam.  They were kinetically attacking each other. Whether they used mercs or militias to do so is incidental nit-picking, which seeks to pretend the 'cold war' was not a real war, in which many millions died due to blatant US and Soviet military aggression.

Sec-Def Robert McNamara was absolutely adamant within the 'Fog of War' that the "Cold War" was no such thing, "... it wasn't a cold war! It was a HOT war!".  He made a point of totally rejecting the more recent notions that it was something other than a hot war. Given he had a senior level involvement in US heavy bombardment operations during WWII I think he knows what hot war is.

You attracted a junk because of your unnecessary supercilious remark about missing 1946 to 1989.

No, it was genuine.

I might argue about misalignment of targets, proxy or otherwise, and mis-allocation of intent to further the cause (USA or USSR) in various proxy wars (especially in ex-colonies where Nationalism of the native country was far more important than third party support, esp. Africa), but I conceded gracefully because I was wrong in under-estimating you.

I guess the problem I've been having with the scenario is that the US hasn't been ranting about attacking.  They've been ranting about Israel attacking.

No senior figures in the Administration have said anything about a military strike on their nuclear facilities (as opposed to responding to a Strait of Hormuz closure), and the nuclear timeline has repeatedly been pushed back, as in 2 or 3 years from an Iranian 'go' decision that hasn't happened yet.

I'm as on top of the news on this as anyone, but my main military concern remains a mistake that escalates.  Unlikely.

More realistic is the problem that the Obama folks have backed themselves into an economic war with regime change as the objective without understanding what any of that means.  It could easily mean a lot of problems for Europe and the US.

There appears to be zero comprehension of an emerging Russo-Indian-Chinese detente in which the USA has no place in Eurasia--Europe would be controlled via pipeline dependence.

It's a recipe for severing trade between big blocs, the exact formula that pushed the crisis of the 1930s into the Great Depression.  Why have an American hemisphere be subject to OPEC pricing when its energy independent?  Why indeed.  Let China and Germany suck that up.

that the US hasn't been ranting about attacking.

Calling them a member of the "Axis of Evil" in the years after 911 and announcing a renewal of the former cold war policy of nuclear pre-emption doesn't qualify as a dire and direct-threat from the US against Iran?

I remember watching the US's response to the hostage taking in 1979 and all of what Ronald Reagan and Co said in the years after this, and I've heard/read US politicians and military officers endlessly talking about the need to take Iran down, ever since.

Very little of it had anything to do with the Strait of Hormuz.

The US has been monstering Iran nose-to-nose, right in their face, on their own borders, and spitting in their face whenever possible, for the best part of 35 years.

Frankly, the US has acted in as hostile and unfriendly a fashion as it was possible to, just short of actual war, though most all of the post Iranian revolution period.

Everyone who has never traveled outside the U.S. - take three steps back from the punchbowl FFT served up.

Everyone who has traveled outside the United States but never been in a foreign airport/train station patrolled by the local army personnel with machine guns - take two steps back.

Everyone who has been in a foreign country when a terrorist attack has taken place while they were in the country being attacked (9/11 is excluded for the purposes of this exercise), please offer up your comments on whether it was a false flag event?

Everyone else, hold on for a second.         ............................................................................................................................

OK,  everyone who has traveled to a foreign country and passed through an airport/train station patrolled by the local army with machine guns, was it your impression that the guys with the machine guns would not shoot you if they thought you were a terrorist?

Everyone else, hold on for a second.        .............................................................................................................................

For all the false flag conspiracy wackos,  terrorism is real.    The people who use it against the innocent (including in their own country, like say, Iran) are cowards beyond the pale.

I've been in London when the Irish were bombing it. I've been places where the army guys with machine guns will mow you down if you make their "worry sensors" twitch. I know the people who have gone where you never would to protect the innocent.

If you want to fight against Israel, go to Tehran and volunteer your services. I guarantee it will broaden your horizons, though you may not survive the experience.

Anyone will respect you more for taking that chance than they will for ranting on an internet web site about (enter your favorite world wide conspiracy link here).

P.S. For those of you going through my track, I am not a believer in world wide conspiracies as a rule. I believe the Obama administration is the most corrupt American administration ever - but that's what you get from a Chicago politician and his cronies. I believe the American banks and mortgage lenders conspired to use MERS to defraud local governments AND the MBS purchasers. These are relatively easy things to accomplish. I believe that similar bad things happen around the world. I believe they happen primarily when people become apathetic and lazy - because at the end of the day, the people in politics are not the smartest people in the room and the people running banks are sociopaths who express their aggressive behaviors by finding ways of acting out against ... pretty much everyone else. Fortunately for all of us, I've never met anyone who was third generation big money bright enough to find their way to a new idea of any flavor.

The Brank Davidians were a DoJ/Sista Souljah event. Even Janet Reno had to admit they had never attacked anybody or caused any trouble - until the ATF decided to launch an assault complete with a news crew. Lambs to the slaughter, yes. Even Clinton didn't try to paint them as home grown terrorists.

Kent State - armed state militia with live rounds (there were no rubber bullets back then) panicked and fired upon a group of protesters. More lambs to the slaughter - on both sides.

Two years ago, I go in for a routine operation and nearly die from complications - who was trying to get me???

True story:

When I was 16, I was travelling with my friend (M) through France and Spain. My grandmother (bless her), who lived in the south of France, furnished us with tin-foil clad sandwiches to travel onwards with, which we held onto from France > Spain. We were flying from Bilbao, at the height of the Basque terrorism. On arriving at the airport, we quickly discovered that ham + cheese sandwiches that had sweated over 14 hrs weren't a good idea, so embarrassed, we "covertly" put them in the bins provided.

As the amount of armed guards, all holding semi-automatic weapons, increased around our position, all pointing to us, I told my friend: "Ok, no idea what's happening, but you hold onto our luggage". And yes, neither of us spoke a word of Spanish.

One serious terrorist threat (aka: Spanish bloke on the intercom) later, and with some serious fire-power directed towards me, I was asked what I put in the bin: I replied: "Some sandwiches". The armed guards checked the smelly tin-foil packages, and all was good. The bomb sniffer dog ate one to make sure there was no semtex in there.

Hint: These were armed, used to actual terrorist bombs, hardened police. Bilbao airport had had 4 actual bombs in the year that we were there. They didn't hold me for 14 hrs, they didn't strip search me, they assessed the situation, then laughed a lot at me & my friend, and even escorted us to the plane ironically.

See the difference, USA? These guys had actually been bombed by ETA. Fucking wankers checking Twitter to make themselves look important... TROLOLOL.

London. Height of IRA bombing: YES

London: 7/11 attacks: YES

Madrid: Train bombs: YES

Moscow: Subway / Apartment bombs: YES

(note: not commenting on who actually did any of those)

And so on. Grow up; terrorism only works if you act like a retard about it. London worked for 16 years with major bomb threats. Hint: ... didn't stop anyone going to work the next day.

Without detracting from your point that, yes, Americans are World-Class Pussies when it comes to cowering before authorities like the TSA, to protect them (well ain't that special!) from supposed turrists, lets not forget that many of the "IRA bombings" (that you mention) were in fact products of other nefarious forces  that you are no doubt familiar with

You might also find - upon closer inspection - that 7/11 was also brought to you courtesy of the usual suspects within your own ranks.

You may believe all that.  That it's all about your evil 'terrorist' types, but I have no doubt there are millions of people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran who are by no means the maniac 'terrorists' you imagine, but who would very happily and most willingly torch Washington, Manhattan and Tel Aviv, in an instant, to relieve the world of the bloodthirsty foulness that flows from that network of purist evil bastards.

As far as they are concern those cities are Terrorism-Central, with a capital-T, and they don't merely believe this, they know it from first-hand experience.

Good luck convincing them they've got it all wrong.

Israel wil attack alone, with great force. The attack will be three pronged- an attack against Iran, and simlutaneous attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. These attacks will make Cast Lead look like a Sunday School picnic.

Israel will be completely victorious in these attacks. There will be no counter-attack, because the level of force will be of such overwhelming magnitude that there will be little left to respond with.

Israel will then  sieze the Temple Mount and set up some sort of temporary Jewish worship or religious system there, in preparation for building a Temple.

This is the test: Will we each have the individual moral strength to resist a massive wave of hatred? Can we still see every individual as a person, as human, and resist dehumanization of others and of ourselves?

Here's a freebie. A fair number of intelligence agencies around the world have recommended to their political masters over the years not to discount the possibility that Israeli nuclear weapons have been hidden in major cities of the major foreign powers over the years as a means of preventing retaliation by other nuclear powers in the event that Israel ever feels compelled to use their weapons against an existential threat.

Unless you grew up in a small town with a fair number of people with SS prison camp tattoos it is easy to misunderstand what the Jewish people mean by, "Never Again."

P.S. I am deeply afraid that Obama is surrounded by such a large group of anti-Israel neophytes that he does not understand that "Israel going it alone" is the most dangerous of all possible paths forward.

If only this was the weed.  Obama's national security team publicly went at each other's throats after the OBL takedown. The doves wanted credit for making Obambi put off a decision for as long as possible and made clear that having killed OBL we would have a much tougher time ahead in Pakistan. The hawks wanted to drive home the point that if they hadn't forced POTUS to take action, we would have let him slip through are fingers, again.

It doesn't matter who is right or wrong on either side. Fighting it out in the media was amateurish.

Well articulated verbage thrown into a jittery sea of emotions. Iran is becoming one of Isreal's least worries at this rate. Not a single country that has a lot of oil is allowed by TPTB to have equal weaponry. Iran is likely not a threat to countries whether or not it has nukes because it is not possible to use them offensively. But because nukes would give Iran freedom from outside control Iran and all their civilian population shall be introduced to that new standard operating procedure within the financial world - vaporization - which may or may not end in the middle east.

Well, if you're the primary instigators of sanctions against any given country, which are acts of war, then logic dictates that you can expect an adversarial effect coming from the country negatively affected by the sanctions. However, the smoke and mirrors mentioned are too a large extent to clear the way for another false flag operation instead of serving as a defence to any real threats posed by Iran. We all should know by now that the money changers and impostors like to hide behind the smoke screen of 'Israel' (not the Israel referred to in the Bible) and have been in the business of usurping power (authority) almost everywhere for a very long time now. They use it as a weapon to murder and slaughter people who have no intention but to live in peace and who choose to be left alone. However, if you attack people and pose a threat to them, you must surely expect that even peace-loving people will have the primary God-given desire to defend themselves and their livelihoods. Needless to say, the True and Living God and the true Israel are going to put a stop to this one of these sunny days.

The Israeli-US-UK axis is playing a game of chicken with Iran, They are trying to force them into attacking, just like FDR did with Imperial Japan. Sooner, rather than later, the domestic situation inside of Iran is going to become unbearable. Iran has a choice; it can implode internally from hyperinflation, strikes and riots, or it can lash out in desperation against the axis powers just off of their coast. Right now they are trying to just bide for time. Russia could provide humanitarian aid, as they share a common border {well, of sorts}. I suspect they just may do that. The longer Iran can hold out the more likely the aggressor is going to be the USA. I don't believe this nonsense in a false flag attack on the USS Enterprise. No, far better to do a missle launch on Israel from Iraq {CIA}. Then the carrier strike groups go into motion against Iran. Then Iran unleashed Hezbollah and Hamas against Israel, and the al Sadr militia against US interest in Iraq {oil facilities}. They attempt to close the Straights. Iran does have some cards to play, but she must play them carefully and wisely. All of this would provide Syria with some much needed relief. They could sqaush their internal agitators. Egypt could ally with Iran, though that might be a stretch. Egypt closing the Suez simulatnously with Iran closing the Straights would be catastrophic for the Axis and western europe. There is allot more here than meets the eye, and I expect allot of twist and turns many have not counted on happening. During all of this, it would be an excellent opprotunity for China to retake Taiwan. Germany to take over the PIIGS {well, sort of}.

Seriously folks, if you think the American media is biased you have never been exposed to other parts of the world. The global media ADORES Obambi because he says what they have always wanted an American President to say. Their politicians are not represented by their media. Nah.  Save 'em.

If Israel has acquired a "suitcase nuke" from the old Soviet Union's store of nuclear weapons, then I would say the possibility of Israel doing a false flag on American soil rises. You see if they detonate a Soviet/Russian bomb, then tracing it's nuclear signature will NOT lead back to Israel.

Israel is called our best ally, but I have my doubts. I think nothing is off the table if they feel they need to do something, they WILL do it. A Soviet nuke is the perfect device, the fingers would point to Muslims. Would the Muslims do it if they had a Soviet nuke. If the weapon is untraceable, I think there are some elements who would do it.

You see what happens when America gets fully engaged in foreign wars? Our founding fathers knew best. We should listen to them. If Muslim and Jew want to fight it out, American should stand aside.

americanspirit, Yes, that is an interesting article. One doesn't know how much credit to give it, as I often hear debka attacked as pure propaganda. Still, looking though the desire to mold opinions, the news on a hwole is looking grim.

My only question as a person with some military experience, is how serious has Iran been the last few years. Are they undertaking serious defnesive measures, or is it all an illusion.

IN my opinion, Iran was thrown to the dogs by Russia when they refused to honor their contract to sell S-300 Anti Aircraft Missile System to Iran. Without an unltra modern missile system their skies are wide open. So when the bombs fall, it will be Russia who really put the knife in their backs and twisted it. Even Israel called Iranian possession of S-300 to be a game changer and perhaps a cause for war to knock them out before the mobile systems got deployed.

What a bunch of contradictory crap.

This video asks you to believe that the US Navy would deliberately set up an aircraft carrier with its thousand of men and top secret weapons to be sunk by the Israelis who will be posing as Iranians.

1) It is not easy to sink an aircraft carrier surrounded by all its escort ships, which should include at least one hunter submarine.

2) Thousands of regular Navy would have to be involved to allow a successful attack on a carrier.  Every ship in the carrier group would have to be told to ignore the threat and the carrier itself would have to disarm its own protective systems, so in effect those on the carrier would be asked to sacrifice themselves as if they were a tethered goat.

3)  Why involve the Israelis at all?  Why not just blow the carrier up themselves.  A few well place high explosives inside the ship below the water line might do the trick if you could figure out how to prevent all the self sealing water tight compartments from activating and saving the ship.

The Israelis will act directly to protect themselves from a real threat to their actual existence.  The question is whether Iran will obtain the bomb while their crazies are still in power of will more sane elements come to power and stop the quest.

The average Iranian wants peace and nice economy like the rest of the word.  Their "Arab spring" was squashed early on.   If Iran is bombed, the average Iranian would rally around their flag just as we did after 9/11. An Israeli attack on Iran would be a pre emptive act of desperation to secure the future of Israel.  What would you do?

Too many people now know what Israel is -- a cesspool of human evil. The best thing that could happen is for Iran to get the bomb, and use it to check the power of the psycopaths in control of the Jewish State

The only war that I would support is a war against the Israel, the only country that has attacked my country with acts of naked aggression, e.g.,the Liberty and 9/11.

GET REAL.  Dictatorial Regimes are the natural enemies of Democracies.  They don't need goading or past transgressions to go for our throats.  And now with the Resource Wars commencing the stakes have risen.  GET REAL, and quit playing these little girly games.  We have to protect what we have while fighting back those who would take our Liberties.

You would surrender and be subsumed.  Your DNA line will be extinguished, if we proceed down your chosen path.

The enemy from within is far more real and dangerous than any threat from abroad. Our republic was gutted many decades ago. Some say in 1963. Others say 1913. I say 1865. "Natural enemies"? There you go again. There is no such thing as "natural enemies" unless you are an animal, which is what you have obviously become. I see I am wasteing my time. Too bad. Choosing not to fight someone else's wars for them is not surrender. Should the US adopt a startegy of non-intervention, we might survive and regain a measure of our liberties. But as long as the US continues war mongering and servicing Israel, we are doomed. This global policeman/social worker shit has gotten old. I'm past fed up with it. And this is coming from a US Navy Veteran. Been there, done that.

I now know why you call yourself the Obsolete Man.  Idealists who won't engage in realpolitic are soon Obsolete.  And they tend to throw the baby out with the bathwater because we have made "mistakes".

We must preserve what we have left of Liberty and then fight for what we have recently lost.  And we must do this while protecting our backside from Dictatorial Regimes who will exterminate us, if given the chance.

Who have the Democracies exterminated?  Now think of the Dictatorial Regimes around the world and their spree of genocide in the last one hundred years.

You don't know it, but you are a "useful idiot" for those who wish to destroy us.

we need to be destroyed.  Of course, you are innocent as well as the remaining 330 million Americans from the merciless kllling/genocide around the world orchestrated by the USA, UK and Israel.  They are all really one.  They are financed by YOU and your ignorant mindset.  They have shoved so much propaganda up your asshol that you talk non-stop shit.  You represent hate and arrogance..,.would you call those admirable traits?

You might inquire about electro-shock therapy because all of the world's damage can be attributed to you and your ignorance, and the ignorance of millions of americans.  Suit up motherfucker and grab your gun.  Because you deserve to be in the first line of the offense with your attitude.

The dictatorial regimes are bought and paid for by you and me.  Pay your taxes?  Then you pay for the dictators also, and the wars, and the genocide, and poisoning (food, medicine) of billions.  You'll fit in nicely as a fascist guard.

Good heads up video Zerohedge (false flag event).  This was my opinion also a few months ago (all these warships converging around this volatile area).  It's happened many times in the past and it will keep on happening until we totally catch on.  WW3 is going to start like WW2?  It's great that people are waking up.  Problem is, not enough people are waking up so we don't have the power to stop the inevitable.  But at least we have 1000 years of peace to look forward to if we are fortunate enough to survive this upcoming Hell on Earth. (Book of Revelation stuff).

gnomon; I took the ID "The Obsolete Man" from the title of a episode of the "Twilight Zone" TV series from back in the 1960s. I believe that episode is available to be seen on Youtube. It was one of the most power shows I have ever seen on the tube, and I highly advise everyone to spend the time to watch it, it is time well spent. This is coming from someone who stopped watching TV about 15 years ago, but I still watch the Super Bowl, Kentucky Derby, things like that. Day to day TV for me is stuptifying though. If wanting a better country and future for my grandkids makes me a "useful idiot" than so be it.
