It's Official (For the Nth Time): "No Deal"

Tyler Durden's picture

Remember the massive market ramp that came in on "news" that the Stupor committee would actually have a resolution? It is now time to fade it. Reuters reports that "The co-chairs of the U.S. Congress "super committee" will announce that their panel has failed to reach a deal on at least $1.2 trillion in deficit reductions, a senior congressional aide said on Monday. The co-chairs, Republican Representative Jeb Hensarling and Democratic Senator Patty Murray, are expected to release their written statement soon, aides said." Now this is not any news, but the "faux" catalyst that was used by the FRBNY to send a massive market buy to Citadel was there, and was sufficiently credible to get the vacuum tubes to jump in the buying frenzy. Now let's see the reversal, or not. After all that would make too much sense for this busted market.

Full statement:

(Washington D.C.) – Today, the Co-Chairs of the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction, Representative Jeb Hensarling and Senator Patty Murray, released the following statement.

"After months of hard work and intense deliberations, we have come to the conclusion today that it will not be possible to make any bipartisan agreement available to the public before the committee’s deadline.

"Despite our inability to bridge the committee's significant differences, we end this process united in our belief that the nation's fiscal crisis must be addressed and that we cannot leave it for the next generation to solve.  We remain hopeful that Congress can build on this committee’s work and can find a way to tackle this issue in a way that works for the American people and our economy.

"We are deeply disappointed that we have been unable to come to a bipartisan deficit reduction agreement, but as we approach the uniquely American holiday of Thanksgiving, we want to express our appreciation to every member of this committee, each of whom came into the process committed to achieving a solution that has eluded many groups before us. Most importantly, we want to thank the American people for sharing thoughts and ideas and for providing support and good will as we worked to accomplish this difficult task.

"We would also like to thank our committee staff, in particular Staff Director Mark Prater and Deputy Staff Director Sarah Kuehl, as well as each committee member's staff for the tremendous work they contributed to this effort.  We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Douglas Elmendorf and Mr. Thomas Barthold and their teams at the Congressional Budget Office and Joint Committee on Taxation, respectively, for the technical support they provided to the committee and its members."

And the follow up

Statement by Speaker Boehner on the Announcement by Joint Select Committee Co-Chairs Jeb Hensarling & Patty Murray

Washington (Nov 21)

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement on the announcement by Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction co-chairs Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) and Patty Murray (D-WA):

"While I am disappointed, the House will forge ahead with the commitments we have made to reducing government spending and removing barriers standing in the way of private-sector job creation. Doing otherwise is not an option. This process did not end in the desired outcome, but it did bring our enormous fiscal challenges into greater focus. I am confident the work done by this committee will play a role in the solution we must eventually find as a nation.

"I commend both of the panel's leaders, Jeb Hensarling and Patty Murray, for the dignified and statesmanlike manner in which the committee carried out its difficult negotiations. I want to particularly thank Jeb for the principled leadership and love of country he consistently has demonstrated in leading Republicans on the Joint Select Committee, as well as Dave Camp and Fred Upton for the countless hours they invested in this process for a noble cause."

Those dickwads are going to take turns finger-pointing at each other while the world burns.   The assholes running this country (Republicans, Democrats, it’s all the same, really) have absolutely no qualms spending trillions of other people’s money. They’re not just spending our money, they’re bankrupting our children and our children’s children by consigning them to loans insuring that they will live in debt slavery from the cradle to the grave. The politicians don’t care, they’ll be long gone by then and their children and children’s children will be sitting pretty on the wealth that their parents and grandparents are stealing from you right now. Let’s do a little game, and figure out how much of our money that they waste. Based on 112 million taxpayers, here’s some of their favorite ways to waste the money they steal from you: http://www.singledudetravel.com/2011/11/american-scamocracy/

It is being reported that Krugman has a sit-down planned with the CONgressional SuperCommittee On Can Kicking, and that he is going to propose that CONgress authorize Timmay sell bonds in a face amount equal to the as of now official U.S. National Debt, and that The Bernank has already agreed to buy them in the secondary market, thus wiping the debt out.

Why do otherwise smart people try to come up with solutions to this mess? THE MESS IS A FRAUD.

Sovereign countries do not, should not, borrow 'money' at interest from a private banking cabal. SOVEREIGN COUNTRIES DO NOT NEED TO ISSUE DEBT.

We do not need to pay our debts. They were never intended to be paid. The interest is the grift, and debt-slavery is the objective.

Don't fall into their trap. Don't argue for solutions within the system.

I nominate Trader Joe for the shortest Fed Chairmanship in history.  Take the oath on the Satanic bible (keep your fingers crossed behind your back) then End The Fed.

THE ROOT OF OUR SOCIAL, ECONOMIC, MILITARISTIC WOW'S IS AN EVIL, MONETARY SYSTEM.  EVERYTHING ELSE IS A SYMPTOM OR AN ACTION THAT SUPPORTS IT.  AT THE HEART OF THIS SYSTEM ARE THE CENTRAL BANKS; THE FED, THOSE WHO CONTROL IT AND THEIR DISHONEST, DEBT BASED MONETARY POLICIES.  AS SUCH; LAWS, THE CAPTURE OF GOVERNMENT AND THE SUSPENSION OF ACCOUNTING RULES IS FOR THEIR BENEFIT.  AN ACCOUNT OF THE PEOPLE HAS NO PLACE IN IT.  INDEED, IF THE PEOPLE WERE ITS PRIMARY CONCERN, THE WORLD WOULD BE MORE FREE, LESS VIOLENT AND MORE PROSPEROUS.

THE PRIVATELY HELD FED IS THE TOP REGULATOR OF ITS TBTF OWNERS AND MEMBER BANKS.   IT'S CREATION OF MONEY OUT OF THIN AIR; LOANED, AT INTEREST, TO THE SOVEREIGN AND ITS FRACTIONAL RESERVE SYSTEM IS THE MOST INSIDIOUS OF CRIMINAL PONZIS FOR WHICH ALL ITS FAUX REGULATIONS AND FINANCIAL MISALLOCATIONS FOLLOW.

It's not funny that innocent American lives were lost that day.  There's no excuse for that.  It's not a laughing matter and I'm sorry for your loss.

But given all the corruption in the last decade, I do start to question when was the last time the government told the truth about anything lately?  Or even further back.  Bay of Pigs or the Gulf of Tonkin?

Also, I find it odd that a plane full of people would sit by and allow a few men with box cutters (box cutters??) to hi-jack a plane.  I was on a 747 last week and was thinking to myself, there weren't any men with the courage to stop those guys?  There wasn't a "On the count of three rush them and beat them to a pulp!" yelled out?  Eh, that strike me as odd.  And then don't even get me started on tower seven.  How is that not a controlled demolition?

And then there's the question of how much responsibility do we put on the CIA and government for their military industrial complex programs abroad?  Scale it down.  If you have people from the house across the cul-de-sac occupying your backyard and kitchen to take a percentage of your goods and everytime you look out your window they are driving up a new luxury car, don't you start to build a resentment? The thing is, it's not even taxpayers like you and I starting these wars.  It's the government and corporations, while we get to pay the cost with lives when there's blowback.

It's not a pass on killing innocent Americans, but our government is partly responsible for 9/11.  That is if they didn't manufacture the whole thing themselves.

Since 1941 the United States has been constantly at war around the planet. When he left the White House in 1961, President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who knew what he was talking about, had warned of "the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex", but nobody listened.

Big bucks and the arms makers have ended up running the show, with billions to be made in conflicts hot and cold.  America had been the aggressor in 200 wars, big or small, since 1945. Iraq and Afghanistan are but the latest.

@Trav

So those who died on 9/11 deserved it somehow?  Because they went to work?  Maybe becasue they worked in the financial industry? No, wait, many who worked outside it also died, so that can't be what you mean.  Maybe Because they are Americans?

What if it was you who was among them?  You are American, right? Or your kids?

BTW, I agree that our foreign policy is imperialist and brutal, but that doesn't make jokes that disregard the horror of that day and its consequences any more acceptable.

Further food for thought:

On the day of 9-11, the US had just finished amassing 17,000 troops in Egypt - joining 23,000 NATO troops - in 'Operation Bright Star'. The US had also just stationed 2 carrier battle groups in the Arabian Sea just off the coast of Pakistan (ie. directly below Afghanistan). This operation had begun planning years earlier.

Also on the day of 9-11, the British were in the process of moving 24 ships and 23,000 troops to Oman (just outside the Persian Gulf) in 'Operation Swift Sword II'. This operation had also begun planning in 1997 and was announced on November 8, 2000.

So ... 63,000 NATO troops were pre-positioned ready for a rapid takeover of the recently destroyed opium poppy fields of Afghanistan when, lo-and-behold, "nobody-could-see-this-coming", some raghedz with box-cutters on 9-11 triggered the pre-planned invasion of Afghanistan, which took place just 4 weeks later. All major military operations take years of planning to mobilise the men, equipment and logistics.

The gun was loaded and cocked and some patsies were used to pull the trigger. The whole thing was an elaborate setup.

"The problem is that we are doing it ourselves..."  Interesting statement.  I'd first ask who's this "we" you speak of.  Then I realized "we" are doing it to ourselves.  You and I.  Of course the solution to keeping "we" from going down would get me labeledd a terrorist.  We live in two America's.  There's you and I who pay taxes, work forty hours a week, vote in a representative to "represent" us, and then there are the ruling oligarchs who have use a debt based monetary system to keep power and buy our representatives. Two nations falsely believing they are one.  One of these America's needs to go.  I'd like to hope that one America would go peacefully, but if OWS (whether you agree with it or not), is a sign of the future one of these America's will not go peacefully.

It'd be nice to say tie all of Congress's compensation to results, but then it'd have to pass the same Congress that it would affect.  It'd be nice to say we only pay taxes when our representatives...represent us.  But the IRS tends to frown on that and send you to jail. It'd be nice to type what the solution really is on a forum, but I'm sure my keystrokes are being recorded for my "future trial" on treason against the State or some other manufactured thought crime.  I'd love to wish that everyone would stop paying taxes and bank held debt immediately in order to cut off Big Brother's life line and that citizens would create their own state currencies backed by resources and production output, but getting that may be too radical.

Buffet a while back said something about there being class warfare in America and that his class, the rich, were winning.   We must take away their power.  The only peaceful solution I see is for the states and their citizens to create their own currencies that props up an independent economy from the Federal one.

"In the Colonies, we issue our own paper money. It is called ‘Colonial Scrip.’ We issue it in proper proportion to make the goods and pass easily from the producers to the consumers. In this manner, creating ourselves our own paper money, we control its purchasing power and we have no interest to pay to no one.” - Benjamin Franklin

I’m afraid to say this is reminiscent of the childish political gridlock that we experienced during the debt ceiling debate. This indecision is pathetic and childish, and it’s time President Obama simply raised the debt ceiling by executive order so that we don’t have to have this dangerous discussion about impractical and damaging cuts in the first place. This move would really demonstrate Obama's authority and would contribute towards marketing the Obama 2012 campaign. This country needs a strong father-like figure to take care of the economy, so that we don't have to worry about it.

Correctomundo, they don't want anything approaching a balanced budget.

The order from on high is borrow and spend, borrow and spend some more, and keep on borrowing and spending.

This is what sheeple need to understand. Destruction of the dollar is the grand plan.  The best way to do that is run the government so far in debt it loses all credibility and the dollar collapses.

Can any confirm the following:

The date is February 21, 1871 and the Forty-First Congress is in session. I refer you to the "Acts of the Forty-First Congress," Section 34, Session III, chapters 61 and 62. On this date in the history of our nation, Congress passed an Act titled: "An Act To Provide A Government for the District of Columbia." This is also known as the "Act of 1871." What does this mean? Well, it means that Congress, under no constitutional authority to do so, created a separate form of government for the District of Columbia, which is a ten mile square parcel of land.

What??? How could they do that? Moreover, WHY would they do that? To explain, let's look at the circumstances of those days. The Act of 1871 was passed at a vulnerable time in America. Our nation was essentially bankrupt — weakened and financially depleted in the aftermath of the Civil War. The Civil War itself was nothing more than a calculated "front" for some pretty fancy footwork by corporate backroom players. It was a strategic maneuver by European interests (the international bankers) who were intent upon gaining a stranglehold on the neck (and the coffers) of America.

The Congress realized our country was in dire financial straits, so they cut a deal with the international bankers — (in those days, the Rothschilds of London were dipping their fingers into everyone's pie) thereby incurring a DEBT to said bankers. If we think about banks, we know they do not just lend us money out of the goodness of their hearts. A bank will not do anything for you unless it is entirely in their best interest to do so. There has to be some sort of collateral or some string attached which puts you and me (the borrower) into a subservient position. This was true back in 1871 as well. The conniving international bankers were not about to lend our floundering nation any money without some serious stipulations. So, they devised a brilliant way of getting their foot in the door of the United States (a prize they had coveted for some time, but had been unable to grasp thanks to our Founding Fathers, who despised them and held them in check), and thus, the Act of 1871 was passed.

In essence, this Act formed the corporation known as THE UNITED STATES. Note the capitalization, because it is important. This corporation, owned by foreign interests, moved right in and shoved the original "organic" version of the Constitution into a dusty corner. With the "Act of 1871," our Constitution was defaced in the sense that the title was block-capitalized and the word "for" was changed to the word "of" in the title. The original Constitution drafted by the Founding Fathers, was written in this manner:

"The Constitution for the united states of America".

The altered version reads: "THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". It is the corporate constitution. It is NOT the same document you might think it is. The corporate constitution operates in an economic capacity and has been used to fool the People into thinking it is the same parchment that governs the Republic. It absolutely is not.

Capitalization — an insignificant change? Not when one is referring to the context of a legal document, it isn't. Such minor alterations have had major impacts on each subsequent generation born in this country. What the Congress did with the passage of the Act of 1871 was create an entirely new document, a constitution for the government of the District of Columbia. The kind of government THEY created was a corporation. The new, altered Constitution serves as the constitution of the corporation, and not that of America. Think about that for a moment.

Incidentally, this corporate constitution does not benefit the Republic. It serves only to benefit the corporation. It does nothing good for you or me — and it operates outside of the original Constitution. Instead of absolute rights guaranteed under the "organic" Constitution, we now have "relative" rights or privileges. One example of this is the Sovereign's right to travel, which has been transformed under corporate government policy into a "privilege" which we must be licensed to engage in. This operates outside of the original Constitution.

So, Congress committed TREASON against the People, who were considered Sovereign under the Declaration of Independence and the organic Constitution. When we consider the word "Sovereign," we must think about what the word means.

U.S. Citizen/Subject – A corporate fictitious entity that merely represents the real person. It acts as a “strawman.” [To call oneself a “sovereign citizen” or “sovereign subject” is an oxymoron, since “sovereign” and “citizen/subject” are mutually exclusive of each other.] When asked if you are a “U.S. Citizen” on corporate legal documents, if you check “yes,” you agree to the terms of Corporate Law and unknowingly relinquish your sovereign status and transfer all of your rights to the UNITED STATES CORPORATION since you are now under contract.

From a speech in Congress in The Bankruptcy of the United States Congressional Record, March 17, 1993, Vol. 33, page H-1303, Speaker Representative James Trafficant Jr. (Ohio) addressing the House states:

“…It is an established fact that the United States Federal Government has been dissolved by the Emergency Banking Act, March 9, 1933, 48 Stat. 1, Public Law 89-719; declared by President Roosevelt, being bankrupt and insolvent. H.J.R. 192, 73rd Congress m session June 5, 1933 – Joint Resolution To Suspend The Gold Standard and Abrogate The Gold Clause dissolved the Sovereign Authority of the United States and the official capacities of all United States Governmental Offices, Officers, and Departments and is further evidence that the United States Federal Government exists today in name only.

The receivers of the United States Bankruptcy are the International Bankers, via the United Nations, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. All United States Offices, Officials, and Departments are now operating within a de facto status in name only under Emergency War Powers. With the Constitutional Republican form of Government now dissolved, the receivers of the Bankruptcy have adopted a new form of government for the United States. This new form of government is known as a Democracy, being an established Socialist/Communist order under a new governor for America. This act was instituted and established by transferring and/or placing the Office of the Secretary of Treasury to that of the Governor of the International Monetary Fund. Public Law 94-564, page 8, Section H.R. 13955 reads in part: “The U.S. Secretary of Treasury receives no compensation for representing the United States…

Prior to 1913, most Americans owned clear, allodial title to property, free and clear of any liens of mortgages until the Federal Reserve Act (1913) “Hypothecated” all property within the Federal United States to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, in which the Trustees (stockholders) held legal title. The U.S. Citizen (tenant, franchisee) was registered as a “beneficiary” of the trust via his/her birth certificate. In 1933, the Federal United States hypothecated all of the present and future properties, assets, and labor of their “subjects,” the 14th Amendment U.S. Citizen to the Federal Reserve System. In return, the Federal Reserve System agreed to extend the federal United States Corporation all of the credit “money substitute” it needed.

Like any debtor, the Federal United States government had to assign collateral and security to their creditors as a condition of the loan. Since the Federal United States didn’t have any assets, they assigned the private property of their “economic slaves,” the U.S. Citizens, as collateral against the federal debt. They also pledged the unincorporated federal territories, national parks, forests, birth certificates, and nonprofit organizations as collateral against the federal debt. All has already been transferred as payment to the international bankers.

Unwittingly, America has returned to its pre-American Revolution feudal roots whereby all land is held by a sovereign and the common people had no rights to hold allodial title to property. Once again, We the People are the tenants and sharecroppers renting our own property from a Sovereign in the guise of the Federal Reserve Bank. We the People have exchanged one master for another.”

  • In 1944, Washington D.C. was deeded to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) by the Breton Woods Agreement. The IMF is made up of wealthy people that own most of the banking industries of the world. It is an organized group of bankers that have taken control of most governments of the world so the bankers run the world. Congress, the IRS, and the President work for the IMF. The IRS is not a U.S. government agency. It is an agency of the IMF. (Diversified Metal Products v. IRS et al. You need to re- read the Constitution, dude. Article 1, section 8 granted Congress legislative power over DC ... and nearly every city in all states is organized as a corporation.

I can't fault you on the right to travel argument, though ... There is no shortage of laws that incrasingly bind he citizenry to their Homeland ... Resistance is futile, nay, it is unpatriotic!

My pleasure, earleflorida.  Polly want a cracker.  Here you go.  It get worse.

AMERICAN PEOPLE, YOU have the ability to understand the information in this letter. YOU have the ability to understand the present law and past law, the Constitution. That's right!...I'm saying the Constitution is past tense, as a restrictive document on Congress. I do not make this statement lightly and I can prove it.

The Constitution was a commercial compact between states, giving the federal government limited powers. The Bill of Rights was meant not as our source of rights, but as further limitations on the federal government. Our fore-fathers saw the potential for danger in the U. S. Constitution. To insure the Constitution was not presumed to be our source of rights, the 10th Amendment was added. I will use a quote from Thomas Jefferson, February 15, 1791, where he quotes the 10th Amendment...

"I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground; That "all powers not delegated to the United States, by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States or to the people." To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specially drawn around the powers of Congress, is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible of any definition."

The created United States government cannot define the rights of their creator, the American people. Three forms of law were granted to the Constitution, common law, equity (contract law) and Admiralty law. Each had their own jurisdiction and purpose. The first issue I want to cover is the United States flag. Obviously from known history our flag did not have a yellow fringe bordering three sides. The United States did not start putting flags with a yellow fringe on them in government buildings and public buildings until 1959. Of course the question you would ask yourself; why did it change and are there any legal meanings behind this? Oh yes!

First the appearance of our flag is defined in Title 4 sec. 1. U.S.C..

"The flag of the United States shall be thirteen horizontal stripes, alternate red and white; and the union of the flag shall be forty-eight stars, white in a blue field." (Note - of course when new states are admitted new stars are added.)

A foot note was added on page 1113 of the same section which says:

"Placing of fringe on the national flag, the dimensions of the flag, and arrangement of the stars are matters of detail not controlled by statute, but within the discretion of the President as Commander-In-Chief of the Army and Navy." - 1925, 34 Op.Atty.Gen. 483.

The president as military commander can add a yellow fringe to our flag. When would this be done? During a time of war. Why? A flag with a fringe is an ensign, a military flag. Read the following.

"Pursuant to U.S.C. Chapter 1, 2, and 3; Executive Order No. 10834, August 21, 1959, 24 F.R. 6865, a military flag is a flag that resembles the regular flag of the United States, except that it has a YELLOW FRINGE, bordered on three sides. The President of the United states designates this deviation from the regular flag, by executive order, and in his capacity as COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF of the Armed forces."

From the National Encyclopedia, Volume 4:

"Flag, an emblem of a nation; usually made of cloth and flown from a staff. From a military standpoint flags are of two general classes, those flown from stationary masts over army posts, and those carried by troops in formation. The former are referred to by the general name flags. The latter are called colors when carried by dismounted troops. Colors and Standards are more nearly square than flags and are made of silk with a knotted Fringe of Yellow on three sides...........use of the flag. The most general and appropriate use of the flag is as a symbol of authority and power."

The reason I started with the Flag issue is because it is so easy to grasp. The main problem I have with the yellow fringe is that by its use our Constitutional Republic is no more. Our system of law was changed without the public's knowledge. It was kept secret. This is fraud. The American people were allowed to believe this was just a decoration. Because the law changed from Common Law (God's Law) to Admiralty Law (the kings law) your status also changed from sovereign to subject. From being able to own property (allodial title) to not owning property (tenet on the land). If you think you own your property, stop paying taxes, it will be taken under the prize law.

"The ultimate ownership of all property is in the state; individual so-called `ownership' is only by virtue of government, i.e., law, amounting to a mere user; and use must be in accordance with law and subordinate to the necessities of the State." - Senate Document No. 43, "Contracts payable in Gold" written in 1933.

By our allowing to let these military flags fly, the American people have admitted our defeat and loss of status. Read on, you'll see what I mean. Remember the Constitution recognizes three forms of law, being governed by the Law of the Flag is Admiralty law. I will cover this in a minute, the following is a definition of the legal term Law of the Flag.

"...The agency of the master is devolved upon him by the law of the flag. The same law that confers his authority ascertains its limits, and the flag at the mast-head is notice to all the world of the extent of such power to bind the owners or freighters by his act. The foreigner who deals with this agent has notice of that law, and, if he be bound by it, there is not injustice. His notice is the national flag which is hoisted on every sea and under which the master sails into every port, and every circumstance that connects him with the vessel isolates that vessel in the eyes of the world, and demonstrates his relation to the owners and freighters as their agent for a specific purpose and with power well defined under the national maritime law." - Bouvier's Law Dictionary, 1914.

Don't be thrown by the fact they are talking about the sea, and that it doesn't apply to land, I will prove to you that Admiralty law has come on land. Next a court case:

"Pursuant to the "Law of the Flag", a military flag does result in jurisdictional implication when flown. The Plaintiff cites the following: "Under what is called international law, the law of the flag, a shipowner who sends his vessel into a foreign port gives notice by his flag to all who enter into contracts with the shipmaster that he intends the law of the flag to regulate those contracts with the shipmaster that he either submit to its operation or not contract with him or his agent at all." - Ruhstrat v. People, 57 N.E. 41, 45, 185 ILL. 133, 49 LRA 181, 76 AM.

When you walk into a court and see this flag you are put on notice that you are in a Admiralty Court and that the king is in control. Also, if there is a king the people are no longer sovereign. You're probably saying this is the most incredible thing I have ever heard. YOU have read the proof, it will stand up in court. But wait, there is more, you probably would say, how could this happen? Here's how. Admiralty law is for the sea, maritime law govern's contracts between parties that trade over the sea. Well, that's what our fore-fathers intended. However, in 1845 Congress passed an act saying Admiralty law could come on land. The bill may be traced in Cong. Globe, 28th Cong., 2d. Sess. 43, 320, 328, 337, 345(1844-45), no opposition to the Act is reported. Congress held a committee on this subject in 1850 and they said:

"The committee also alluded to "the great force" of "the great constitutional question as to the power of Congress to extend maritime jurisdiction beyond the ground occupied by it at the adoption of the Constitution...." - Ibid. H.R. Rep. No. 72 31st Cong., 1st Sess. 2 (1850)

It was up to the Supreme Court to stop Congress and say NO! The Constitution did not give you that power, nor was it intended. But no, the courts began a long train of abuses, here are some excerpts from a few court cases.

"This power is as extensive upon land as upon water. The Constitution makes no distinction in that respect. And if the admiralty jurisdiction, in matters of contract and tort which the courts of the United States may lawfully exercise on the high seas, can be extended to the lakes under the power to regulate commerce, it can with the same propriety and upon the same construction, be extended to contracts and torts on land when the commerce is between different States. And it may embrace also the vehicles and persons engaged in carrying it on (my note - remember what the law of the flag said when you receive benefits from the king.) It would be in the power of Congress to confer admiralty jurisdiction upon its courts, over the cars engaged in transporting passengers or merchandise from one State to another, and over the persons engaged in conducting them, and deny to the parties the trial by jury. Now the judicial power in cases of admiralty and maritime jurisdiction, has never been supposed to extend to contracts made on land and to be executed on land. But if the power of regulating commerce can be made the foundation of jurisdiction in its courts, and a new and extended admiralty jurisdiction beyond its heretofore known and admitted limits, may be created on water under that authority, the same reason would justify the same exercise of power on land." -- Propeller Genessee Chief et al. v. Fitzhugh et al. 12 How. 443 (U.S. 1851)

Think of all of the Americans, Germans etc. who gave their lives thinking they were defending their Countries which didn't even exist. The millions of innocent people who died for nothing. What are the words in micro print under the area that you sign your signature on any personal bank check? And it is on every check you have from any bank.

Why are they there?

Why are the words printed in micro print?

*hint..... no one signs their name in capital letters do they?

Way ahead of you, if not ahead, then running next to you, I don't know.

Many things on you're list and your ideations are, for me and mine, older than 8 years.

We've already seen evidence that the United States went bankrupt in 1933. When this happened, the governors of all the states met to discuss what should be done. The state governors made a "pledge" to the federal government, to fund the bankruptcy. They pledged the assets and the energy of the people belonging to the state governments. They would back the "government" and secure the national debt. But there was one problem: The states could only speak for the people in their public capacity. They could not pledge private, living human beings or property. So it was necessary to create a "bridge" between the living people and the creditors for the bankruptcy. The answer was to create straw men to stand in the place of the people. Now the only problem was devising a scheme whereby the people would agree to contract with the straw man as its surety.

When you sign your check you naturally sign it in lower case cursive, that will not do, so the banks or whoever, do not want to bring attention to this problem, the solution is to install micro print under your signature, problem solved.

Get a magnifying glass, check it out, go to you're bank ask the manager what is the purpose of the micro print.

I have asked many times at different banks,  no one has a clue, no one has ever noticed the micro print.

John Corzine was a victim of circumstance. He has said, through the attorney he has retained, that there's no way 1.2 billion, as reported today, is missing from MF Global.

They're only willing to stipulate that as much as 1.1 billion was misappropriated, and not a dime more.

He stated that he is growing tired of the nefarious accusations against him.

I'd cut the bears chances in half with Cutler's broken thumb. Pivotal game for certain with Pakers undefeated in their division. If Chicago doesn't win, I say they have a very difficult time making it to the Playoffs. The defense is gonna really have to step it up to make up for the slack in the offense. Should be a great game nonetheless!

But it is interesting to see how the politrucks are unable to even skim off some at the very top. This is the ultimate proof that the holw is too deep and whatever shovel they have is too small to dig us anything but a little deeper.

Jena - you couldn't be more correct.  why does this have to be a 'super' committee?  super to what?

how about something along the lines of 'congressional fiscal committee'?  everything has to be bigger and better and more infantile.  in a culture that glorifies stupidy and violence, what would you expect?

I think I know just what you mean.  I remember waking up kind of weird from a medicated nap as we stopped for gas in the middle of Vegas in the mid-90's.  A lot of fat tourists standing in groups amid the spectacle that was Vegas back then: crazy traffic, busy street corners, screaming storefront signs, garish casino fixtures and cranes all over as the building continued.  The people made me think of the film "Day of the Locusts" but a few years later when I read the Eco piece it's exactly where my mind went.

"Congressional fiscal committee" sounds so dignified.  I guess that's why no one thought of it.

Eventually, Congress will act to cut the deficit, but not until the absolute last moment and at a far higher cost than would be necessary with prudent planning. One can blame the 535 Members in D.C., but the true responsibility lies with the people who send them there.—MarketWatch

That statement today from MarketWatch, putting all the blame on on the failure of the supercommittee to reach a debt resolution upon the people for what the international bankers, their lobbyists, and their captured politicians do, exemplifies just how corrupt and willing the media is to serve its owners. They blame us for what they do.

The two-party system is a dramatically failed system at the moment because special powers have taken over both parties to control primaries and a willing press such as that Face the Nation used yesterday against Ron Paul combines to make elections worthless.

For example,.over the past decade, both Fannie and Freddie made the list of Washington's top 20 lobbying spenders. They spent a combined $170 million to cultivate allies during that period, a bit less than the American Medical Association and a bit more than General Electric. At the same time, their executives have consistently led the mortgage-banking sector in campaign giving to members of Congress, contributing a combined $16.2 million from 1997 to 2008.

People who have lobbied on their behalf have played or are playing roles in the presidential campaigns as they did for the campaigns of Obama and McCain. But there will be no contributions for Ron Paul; instead lobbyist campaign funds will be used to stop him cold using any Saul Alinsky technique possible.

You're Right JR. They blame us for what they do.

We, fight in their wars.  Pay them taxes. Buy into their markets based on "confidence".  Allow them to spy on us.  Allow them to search us and even our children.  In short, we have made every sacrifice asked of us and where has it gotten us?

and that $200B/yr (which is based on fraudulent accounting anyways) is well, well within the CBO's historical margin of error when predicting revenues in the out years.  it is, literally and almost unfathomably, a rounding error.

i'm not even sure why the market would react negatively (or positively) one way or the other.  coming to a deal that involves shaving $400B from some projected budget increase in 2019-2020 is entirely meaningless.

Does anyone remember these Greenspanian gems?

"In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. ... This is the shabby secret of the welfare statists' tirades against gold. Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process. It stands as a protector of property rights. If one grasps this, one has no difficulty in understanding the statists' antagonism toward the gold standard."

"Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the hidden confiscation of wealth."

"Gold still represents the ultimate form of payment in the world."

-- Alan Greenspan

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."

Why is anyone suprised at the super-committee's failure?  It was by design.  The whole thing was designed to give cover to Republicans to agree to extend the debt ceiling.  Failure was obvious.  Look who each side put on the committee.  If they were serious, the sides wouldn't have put each party's partisan holy warriors in there.  It's like putting Emperor Palpatine and Yoda in a room and expect them to come up with a power sharing agreement.
