You don't have to buy insurance under Obamacare, but you do have to contribute over time to the costs of healthcare by paying the 'penalty' if you choose not to buy insurance, you can't wait until you get sick or hurt and then declare bankruptcy and get out of paying your bills, which is what most of the plaintiffs in the recent Supreme Court decision did. Several of these deadbeats were lawyers or wealthy business owners who chose not to have health insurance then when they got sick, they refused to pay or couldn't pay their hospital bills? This sounds to me like a bedrock republican issue, maing people contribute for their own insuirance or pay their bills and not being able to chapter 11 their way out of paying for it.
