Disrupt Or Be Disrupted: Live Webcast Of Wired's "Disruptive By Design" Conference

Tyler Durden's picture

In a serious incarnation of what CNBC's feeble attempt to present "disruptive" market individuals, which ironically but not surprisingly are merely those who support the status quo, Wired Magazine is webcasting live it business conference titled "Disruptive by Design", which while also another form of mutual ego-stroking circle jerking, at least bring together individuals who truly are at the forefront of disruptive design. Among the speakers are Marc Andreesen (keynote speaker), Dick Costolo, James Dyson, Curtis Hougland, Shantanu Narayen, Daniel Pink, and many others (full speaker list). Those who are bored by today's lack of any other real events can follow what Wired calls "a dynamic audience of today’s thought leaders for groundbreaking discussions on disruptive business practices, ideas, and innovations." Watch it live here.

I assume Kyle Bass was too busy zeroing in his numerous sniper rifles.

TRUELY disruptive technologies are unpredictable by nature. Holding a conference and attempting to quantify the upcoming disruptive technologies is amusing. Pure BS.

To be fair Marc made this point. Because they are or may be disruptive, it's very difficult to judge whether there is demand and what's the potential, which is why they go to VCs who have higher tolerance for risk than general investing public.

Sure, watching it won't make us millionaires, but it's not that bad.

Seriously, I would rather suffer a terminal incident of gout, literally drowning in a bathtub full of my own uric acid, than watch these guys chatter about what they perceive to be perfectly disruptive.  At some point, someone really needs to tap the establishment on the shoulder and explain the simple fact that credibility has died on the table...and it is time for syndicate members to move on with their lives, already...and take their hangers on with them.

I want my Hydrogen. Cross-pollination was killed by Monsanto and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

I really like your way of expressing the opinions and sharing the information. It is good to move as chance bring new things in life, paves the way for advancement, etc.VCP-510//1z0-451//FCNSA//70-680//70-640//ISC2//9l0-008//HP0-Y12//646-206//HP2-Z21//CISSP//A30-327

Is it disruptive if I use a fake name, email, birth-date, address, and in other ways lie unrepentantly about myself in things I do?

Isn't this illegal activity, to disrupt a legal business enterprise?

Where's the justice department on this?

Oh, that's right, they're busy harrassing individual states, fomenting racism and selling guns to mexican drug cartels so that they can shut down the second amendment.
