The Media Admits To Ignoring Ron Paul

Tyler Durden's picture

Why? Because if "the unelectable one" were to become president, the financial kleptocratic, oligarchic status quo, which just so happens is the big legacy media's biggest advertising base, would be wiped out overnight. Next up: big media becomes very small media. The clip below from CNN explains it all.

As for the reason why Bachmann took first, one picture speak a thousand words:

h/t John and Travis

I fear you are probably right, Perry is after all the Bilderberg approved candidate, and Paul is presumably not.

"What does that mean?"

It means that I think Ron Paul is a man of integrity.  It also means that I do not believe the GOP will nominate Ron Paul.  No need to sit there and dwell upon that any further.  Those are two very basic statements that should be easy to comprehend..

"If Perry loses to Obama then in hind sight one will be able to confirm that he had no chance but you will have voted for him anyway."

This is a ridiculous statement that merits no further reply.

"Why are you willing to vote for Perry when it's entirely possible that he won't be able to win?"

It is possible that the Earth will be destroyed tomorrow, but I still plan to be here tomorrow and the next day.  I also do not believe Ron Paul will be the GOP nominee.

"And do you really believe that Perry will do what's necessary to preserve this country?"

I believe Rick Perry is a much better choice than the FOOL who occupies the WH today.  I believe Rick Perry will win the GOP nomination, and I plan to vote for him during the primary and the general election.

Now, now.....obama has a little 'd' besides his name, perry has a little 'r' besides his name, they both are subsidized by the same corporations and banks.  So when you think you're making an actual choice because of the little 'd' or 'r', you're really not.  I would never presume to tell you what your convictions are, you've plainly stated them.

Don't cry too hard when Ron Paul gets pushed aside.  My guess is he will be out of the race right after the New Hampshire Primary.

It will be obvious to Paul that he has no realistic chance of winning the GOP nomination. However, Perry has a real chance of winning and defeating Obumble. Obumble has to go.

Perry will be just as bad as Obama. He will keep spending trillions on wars and bailing out the big banks. Perry is also in favor of government control of your medical care. Recall that he tried to make every sixth grade girl in Texas take a new vaccine called Guardasil which claims to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer in women who have unprotected sex with multiple partners.

He was trying to proactively reduce the instance of cervical cancer among young girls who were too uninformed to take preventive measures for themselves.  He later admitted he was wrong in attempting to mandate the use of Gardasil:

A man who respects freedom would not have tried to force children to be the guinea pigs for a new vaccine in the first place. And who is going to call President Perry on the carpet next time he tries to use an executive order to sell out children (or anyone else) to the pharmaceutical companies?

He's not the Bogeyman but he sure as hell ain't no Ron Paul. Expect nothing but trouble from a Perry presidency. But no matter, he can't win anyway. There's no way America is going to elect another Texas governor who could be portrayed by Timothy Bottoms. Not even to replace Obama.

Perry also did a great job of sabotaging the Texas state legislature's attempts at fighting the goons at TSA as well.  But that's what to expect  from a Bildeberger who sold his soul long ago to the establishment!  Of course, he was also Al Gore's Texas presidential campaign manager!.  Ha, ha ha!

The Reagan Tax Reform Act of 1986 expanded the Earned Income Tax Credit which allows some people to get more money "refunded" to them than had been  deducted from their paychecks in the first place. So, yeah, in the sense that Reagan redistributed wealth from those who earned it to those who did not he "lead America out of the abyss."

Reagan also signed off on the The National Commission on Social Security Reform (1983) which raised the payroll deduction, lowered benefits and made some benefits taxable.

Reagan talked the talk but he didn't walk the walk. He could, however, nap the nap.

You oppose government interference.  Fine.  Wait, let me think about this.  I wonder if you ever BENEFITED from the many government services made available in your life (assuming you are a US citizen).  Yes, our tax dollars pay for these services. Then again, there are many people in the world who WANT to come to the US because our standard of living is better than their own:

Perhaps the FDA kept some of your food or drinking water safe...

Perhaps you have used the Postal Service...

Perhaps you and/or your parents and/or kids may have used a public hospital or public school...

Perhaps you have driven on paved roads...

You may plan to consume Social Security or Medicare (some people WILL consume more than they paid into these plans)...

Perhaps government standards made your automobile safer or your ride on commercial aircraft safer...

National Defense kept you FREE from forcibly speaking Japanese or German after those nations both declared war on us...

The list goes on and on...

Go bury your head in the sand and wait on the apocalypse.

I've worked for Libertarian causes, so I feel entitled to bitch about this.

The MSM are dying a well deserved death, but there are other problems.  It is next to impossible to get women to support Libertarian candidates.  They often claim to be Conservative or Objectivist, but choke on actual responsibility.  This will change, if ever, when only those who work for a living in the private sector are allowed to vote.

Libertarians and Objectivists are often our own worst enemies.  Ron is a case in point.  His campaign platform was once a simple and profound pledge, to get government out of our wallets, our bedrooms, and our medicine cabinets.  His latest book is an alphabet soup of issues ranging from A- Abortion to Z - Zionism.  I almost always agree with Paul, but getting involved in every damned cat fight known to man is NOT the way to win elections.  Hope I'm wrong.

The GOP candidates will be:

President - Rick Perry

VP - Michelle Bachman

I agree with much of what Ron Paul says. Unfortunately, he has the charisma of a wet noodle and since this country's ignorati only vote for photogenic public speakers whose campaigns are well-financed because they've sold their souls to the Wall Street oligarchy (banks, big pharma, MIC, etc.) and aren't boat rockers but ass-kissing conformists, he'll never be elected. And since he won't be running for Congress next time since he's devoted himself to this hopeless prez campaign, we won't hear so much as a word from him in the mainstream media after he's no longer in Congress.

Nah, the economy will need to collapse before anything significant is changed and then the jerk the idiots elect will probably have much more in common with Adolph Hitler than Ron Paul.

World media provides cartoons for the brainless masses.  And, just why does local news always do a pet story?  Duhhhh.

News has little to do with reality as everything is a spin to control and the rest is media entertainment.

So?  Why do any of us care about mass programming media?  Get involved locally, create local weekly meetings on meetup.com for Ron Paul or conservatives and create local activist groups that are going the direction you want.  This means most of us are conservative by nature, abhor large governments and their waste and want an active control of our governments who ultimately reflect our wishes.  We can control our local, county, state and federal governments but we have to be LOCALLY ACTIVE, VOCAL and VOTE.  What is your local town council, mayor and city doing?  Do you know everyone's background, voting record, productivity to the community and entire family income source? What's the annual salary and annual financial history of all your local elected officials?

No reason your community cannot post annual and monthly accounting online, including salaries.  Know who gets your tax money and how much is spent every month. If they don't do this right now, CHANGE IT...DEMAND TRANSPARENCY...DEMAND PUBLIC EASE OF ACCESS.  We have a family budget...well, so does your local town, county, state and federal government.  Have your local government officials personal net worths increased greatly? Are they doing better than you?  It starts with the crooks right where you live.  Clean up your local community and work your way through the state and federal elected and appointed officials.  Do you realize some local judges are appointed and do not have law degrees?  Why is that?  Why do YOU allow that?  Doesn't matter Democrat or Republican........if they contributed to our problems VOTE THEM OUT.

Personally, I believe if we just replaced every government politician with our local postmen (at avg over $40/hr, thanks union) we would be better off.  At least they haven't refined their graft and corruption skills yet.  So, definitely TERM LIMITS are also a necessity.

Michele Bachmann = Corn Dog Gobbler

Rick Perry = Bush Lite

Ron Paul = Losing Vote

Synopsis: You can suck on a bush lite (if voting for perry) while watching a p0rn queen gobble a corn dog (if voting for bachmann) and comtemplate your lost vote (if voting for paul) which bought you the knowledge that you had the integrity to vote (given the choices) what was best for the country just prior to it's collapse.

Don't think he has a shot in hell of getting there but I will still write him in as my choice regardless. The bottom line is that whichever candidate is elected there will be no meaningful change in the big scheme of things. We've already been nudged off of the peak onto the stainless steel slope after having been dipped in tefflon lube. All that's left is the (ever increasing in speed) trip to the rocks at the bottom of the hill.

THe MSM is also pining for $60 billion per year in taxpayer subsidies if/when the statists become entrenched.  So, the MSM has a huge vested interest in getting more statists elected, mostly from the left.

I like Ron Paul's platoform and common sense however he is not going to win. What will happen is Rick Perry will win the nomination and have Mitt Romney as his running mate. With that BO will lose and we will have a zionist neocon as president replacing another zionist. Ron Paul's platform will not go well with the electorate and the media will TRY to connect him to white supremacist groups. That will kill his campaign. I am black and I support Ron Paul. The idea hate groups support him makes no sense. I guess I am an Oreo. lol

"he is not going to win"

maybe so, then again maybe the only thing that's really preventing his nomination is the fatalism of those who support his nomination.

"Ron Paul's platform will not go well with the electorate"

actually what i'm hearing on the streets is that his platform is beginning to resonate with even those who i thought would never have the ears for it, even if they're only beginning to understand from whom it's coming.

"I guess I am an Oreo."

I would love to see Rob Paul win.  Talk about prophecy.  The fundamentalist Christians will go nuts.  And you think they called the sitting prez the antichrist.  Paul will cut everything to the bone. 2 million soldiers will return home to no jobs.  The only people who will make it are the die hard survivalists, that's probably 1% of the population.  What's better, to keep the current 1% of kleptocrats in power, or dissolve the nation into chaos?  It will be the haves versus the have nots on a grander scale.  The haves in this case being those holding weapons.  Gasoline will instantly hit 20$.  That alone will cause upheaval.  Gold may well hit 5000 or 10K , who cares.  You won't make it out of your fortress gate to buy anything or spend anything on anything.  I wonder if Paul supporters think that NAFTA will simply revert and "that huge sucking sound" will be the factories floating on the wind back into the USA?  It'll take 30 years of some heavy sucking.  In the meantime places like Bronx, NY will empty out into your neighborhood like a scene from Grapes of Wrath, except it won't be so quaint or well mannered.  I'm ready for the Ron Paul challenge, are you?  You'd better hope so.

Non-productive activity does not raise the standard of living, and destructive activity (killing people and blowing things up) overtly lowers it.  The only solution to the entire world spiraling down the toilet is to return to productivity.  But productive activity will not increase until the people currently producing nothing are no longer paid for useless and destructive activities.

The surest way to convince people to become productive is to stop paying them for being non-productive or destructive.  Could anything be clearer than that?

The fact is, if RonPaul was to be elected, the economy would have a sharp but short-lived correction, after which it would boom like never before as the millions of people who are not willing to "take a chance" on a new endeavor would "go for it".  And there come back the jobs.

Perhaps most importantly, the media will no longer be able to completely discard the philosophies of liberty, justice, individualism, productivity, honest economics, kleptomania in DC, etc.

I hear you Stan I really do,

I'm betting my last vote on it.  However I do believe the sharp shock of the correction will be too much for some, and it won't be so short lasting. I don't think the urban areas are going to handle it too well.  In the 30's a million or so Okies was one thing.  This time the displacement of the underclass will be so huge, so devastating, that the 2 million returning vets will be needed just to put down the insurrection.  It will not be pretty.

Mon, 08/15/2011 - 05:06 | 1560831 blunderdog

There aren't enough people "threatened" by the underclass to make a lick of fucking difference.

When 75% of the country is "underclass," the future is already pretty clearly spelled out.  What keeps us functioning so far is that many of that 75% are not aware of the situation.

If/when a third of that 75% wakes up, you're completely right.  "Society" as it currently exists won't survive the "correction."

Heaven forbid anything might change, right?

One thing you don't factor in is the fact that all the federal government programs that "protect" the poor from short term problems will be fully functional during the first year or so of "economic collapse".  NOTHING will change for those people during the crash.  The situation WILL change for millions of massively overpaid federal busy-bodies who get pink slips.

So there will be no "displacement of the underclass".  In fact, after the year of sharp correction, the underclass will once again be able to find productive work and/or consider starting their own business (since the endless restrictions on micro-businesses like "hot-dog carts" will be removed or go unenforced, albeit not fast enough).

The collapse would be huge, but not in a way that scares so many of you.  Oh, and Ann, not Stann.  :-)

Oh FFS, stop bitching and start shooting the guilty. You know who they are.

Listening to Americans bickering over Republocrat vs Democans is like watching a mass brawl that started over which end of a boiled egg to open. Guys, guys, both your major parties AND the recently new ones (Tea party) are cutouts created by the Elites to fool you into thinking you have a choice. To keep you chained to the fantasy that you can change the system by voting - via electronic voting machines that are *proven* to be totally rigged.

As for Ron Paul, he's a nice old fella, has a good spirit, but he's one old man. The only 'choice' you have with Ron Paul, is whether his campaign dies by MSM suppression, or he wins then dies by assasination soon after. There is NO WAY he will be allowed to live to take office. It is the height of cowardice to pin your hopes on Ron Paul, because by doing so you doom a brave and good old man to die sooner than he would anyway.

You all complain about the FED kicking the monetary disaster can down the road. But every election you occupy yourselves with now does exactly the same thing. Kicking the absolute requirement for violent revolution down the road.

George Carlin was right: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-p9uTw2xuI

The only answer is massive bloodshed.

All the MSM, the entire Federal structure (Congress, House, Executive), Courts, much of the top military command, all the three letter agencies, all the large banks, the FED, FEMA, most top corporate executives... try that for a start. If wash still not clean, run it through again.

You see, you HAVE the answer and just don't notice.  Yes, the federal reserve would have RonPaul assassinated, just as they did with JFK.

But you correctly identify that the only answer is massive bloodshed, and you mean massive bloodshed of the predators-that-be and predator-class (AKA "ruling class").  Well, exactly what do you think would absolutely, positively, completely make the most energetic and correctly focused people go TOTAL APESHIT and BALLISTIC?

Answer:  If Ron Paul is elected, then assassinated, this will drive the liberty wing of the american people completely off the deep end.  They will lock and load and give you exactly the "massive bloodshed" we need.  And unlike a bunch of poor kid-thugs in some big city, the liberty wing knows exactly who needs to die.

So by your own logic, Ron Paul needs to be elected.

And that's a fact.

PS:  And there's just a small chance the predators-that-be would recognize and fear this possibility just enough to give them pause.  So there actually is some small chance they'd pull back and try to wait out his 4~8 years in office.

Support Ron Paul.

Under Ron Paul the US may initially avoid foreign conflicts but will eventually have to deal with conflict within, between increasingly powerful states vying for resources and security, without the federal government re-distributing wealth to a degree and supressing extreme policies individual states will evolve to be increasingly polarised and soon there will be calls for preemptive strikes between states to prevent the "inevitable", at that point with a weak US military, China or someone else may have to intervene to sort it out and we will be back to square one as a colony.
