I've seen predictive programming in television before, but this is ridiculous! I always thought that G.I. Joe was a strange cartoon, and the live action movie was filled with globalist propaganda, but being an economic analyst, this particular episode entitled "Money To Burn" was at the same time hilarious and disturbing. Check it out, and see if there aren't metaphoric shades of our current financial crisis within. Cobra Commander destroys the U.S. dollar, and then tries to replace it with "Cobra Currency"! (I knew the IMF and the Federal Reserve were working with Cobra...!)

Dictators can't use gold as currency. They can only spend it once, and have to use the painful process of taxation to get more money to spend.

People must be free to write their own contracts however they see fit, and be free to walk away from them and suffer the consequences of that (ie no future credit, name goes into some lists as a contract breaker, including the terms of the contract and perhaps the conditions under which he walked away, etc).

Take a dollar out of your wallet and ask what it owes you. It is a debt instrument until it is exchanged for goods or services. It is still a debt instrument on exchange, only held in someone elses hands. When people start refusing them as settlement guarantees, their intrinsic value becomes obvious, making them a counterparty hot potato.
Because ALL money today is brought into exixtance through borrowings (all governments borrow money from their bond buyers, most typically central banks), they are instantly debt instruments. They are the CBs reminder (credit note) to the govt of the debt they owe to the CB, or other bond holder. When you work, you earn pieces of debt. Screwy eh?!
