In one of his most passionate speeches (which says a lot), UKIP's Nigel Farage, on the May 9th celebration of the Euro, tells his European Parliament colleagues of his grave concern at the recent elections - which are very reminiscent of the elections in Germany in 1932. He warns that Europe faces the very real prospect of mass civil unrest and even revolution as the Euro project itself could even be the cause of (in it perfect irony as the initial solution to) a rebirth of national socialism in Europe. Farage pulls no punches but in three minutes provides a clear picture of just how concerned anyone who is not merely a head-in-the-sand status-quo muddle-through'er should be with regards Europe: "It is a European union of economic failure, of mass unemployment, and of low growth"

It seems to me that Germany is quite pleased with the current situation. They are pursuing "war by other means", for the long cherished goal of the complete subjugation of all of Europe, under their thumb.
Germany takes every opportunity to undermine any solution to the crisis. Why? It keeps their bonds at record lows while enslaving every other country in the EU.

I have been watching Nigel Farage's tirades in the EU parliament for years. For the most part he has been booed and laughed at. I haven't heard cheering after one of his speeches like there was in this clip. Maybe his honest delivery of reality is starting to get traction. I have to belive that many of the smaller countries who have been forced to pay for Greece's stupidity are getting fed up and are ready to bail on the idea of a European Union.

The deeper impression I get from Farage is that he thinks the zone can take a big hit and then "resume" growth. I don't think he's got the plans (or the imagination to envision them), but to be fair, I don't think we can reasonably expect one guy to map out a "solution" to the global economy, either.
There are folks who try, and they don't tend to be received well.

Most engineers would say that had the Titanic hit the iceberg head-on it would have sunk in 15 minutes or so because the double plated bottom would have buckled all over the place. Implying that contemporary Germany's program is to subjugate the continent is plain silly. Continental Europeans, the French and the Germans in particular, are not going to allow an "anglo-saxon" banking cartel to dominate their priorities any longer. There is a battle raging. England has unmistakenly taken the side of the US in this battle. That's why continental Europeans don't feel like getting lectured by a spokesperson of the opposite side's interests.

Get real - UK cost to insure our own bonds went lower than Germanys today. If you think that UK/Anglo-saxon banking cartels dominate goodie too shoes Europe who play by all the nice to the comman man rules you should take a seriously long look at all the deriviatives on the balance sheets of German, French, Belgium (inc. He didn´t like the EU from the the begining and i can understand him. It is a political union with no fiscal policy whatsoever which makes impossible a common currency.
But he´s talking things that dont match. because what he is sayng is that the countries with huge debts have no responsability in those debts. Of course they have, Mr. Farage. It was their polititians choice, they must be held responsible.
The Euro will be down democraticaly by elections, not by Farage´s urge-to-revolt.
