A 40% loss of post-IPO market-cap, channel-stuffing largesse, contract-law destruction, and all with tax-payer backing. That is what the Bailout'er-in-chief has in mind for every manufacturing company in the US. As Politico reports this evening, President Obama gave a speech we think rivals his 'you didn’t build it' miasma as he alienated foreigners, encouraged socialized losses, and suggests bailouts for any and all. "I said, I believe in American workers, I believe in this American industry, and now the American auto industry has come roaring back," (cough - down 43% - cough) he said. "Now I want to do the same thing with manufacturing jobs, not just in the auto industry, but in every industry."

In 2009 I had a conversation had a conversation with my American cousin about Obama... I was stunned when she said she'd cried when he got elected (tears of joy). I was shocked because she was so anti-government when Bush II was president. I thout her cynicism was drawn from bad government in general but it turns out she was, and still is, blinded by the left right dichotomy. I tried to warn her then that Obama would be the same or worse but she refused to believe me. I spoke with her last year and though she admitted that Obama did not live up to his promise, "he was still better than any one else they could choose from.". When I asked her about Ron Paul she didn't really know much about him (in summer of 2011)..

If he had actually saved the auto industry, creating good jobs to fill a real demand for people with sound money, then I would say, "you go boy!" But he didn't. I really agree with you for most of this term of his office. That was the case as he entered office for sure. I think he thought being president would be the ultimate in community organizing. So he became a bitch to the power structure because he wanted to bring in "the experts" and the consensus of those with experience. I don't think he realized how corrupt it is. But I think he knows now and he is too terrified to be the leader that we need. How much more respect would I have for him if he said Holy Shit, I have been duped, people, and now I'm ready to go after those who have been playing me. But he doesn't. Now he seems to be trapped by some psychological squeeze of "not rocking the boat" as the first Black president and being seen as a failure for only serving one term. But does he want the second term? For his legacy, I think he does, but for his personal life, I think he wants it to be over.

I used to justify to myself why people couldn't see what was going on in this country. Everyone is busy trying to take care of their family, going to work, just trying to survive. That's the power of Cultural Marxism. You co-opt the instruments of culture-- ie. the educational system (both higher and k-12), the media, and the entertainment complex-- and use them to program the man on the street with Marxist values.
