Obama's Master Plan: Bailout Everyone
A 40% loss of post-IPO market-cap, channel-stuffing largesse, contract-law destruction, and all with tax-payer backing. That is what the Bailout'er-in-chief has in mind for every manufacturing company in the US. As Politico reports this evening, President Obama gave a speech we think rivals his 'you didn’t build it' miasma as he alienated foreigners, encouraged socialized losses, and suggests bailouts for any and all. "I said, I believe in American workers, I believe in this American industry, and now the American auto industry has come roaring back," (cough - down 43% - cough) he said. "Now I want to do the same thing with manufacturing jobs, not just in the auto industry, but in every industry."

Obama may be the single worst thing to happen to America, ever. But, I may just be over reacting to the heat of the moment; the times we live in. Certainly, he will be looked upon as the worst President to have held the office. (Jimmy Carter says thank you very much. No, not really. Jimmy has no clue.)
But, what is more disturbing to me, is that some 45% to 50% of Americans believe in this guy. Or, at least, are willing to pull the lever for him. Obama represents the views of a large percentage of Americans.
For the longest time, I blamed the US educational system. But, it goes beyond that. Teaching begins at the home. Societal norms, morals, begin at home. Passing on from generation to generation the values that are the foundation of this country are critical to the continued existence of this country. The election of Obama in 2008, the governing of Obama, the support he receives today, very much explains the state of America today.
I would love to see a breakdown of his voters. How many live off the Government, how many work for the Government and how many pay into the Government.

Looks to me that the Government wants to control the Manufacturing Companies by Owning a part of them. Just like AIG, GM, and the Banks the Government took a controling steak in the Companies. The Government not only receives a profit on the Money it lends but receives a profit on the Company thru its Stock Ownership.
Just like with AIG the Government not only got interest on its loan but 80% of the Company. The same with Gm. Also, the Government did it with the Bank Bail Outs were they Lent them Money and got Stock in the Banks.
It appears that Obama wants America to be like China. Where China Owns and or controls all industry in the Country.

When new GM Manufacturing hires were a part of the bailout deal, both the unions heads, the GM corporate board, AND the Treasury Dept negotiated wages for younger workers at HALF of what the returning guys made ($28/hr to $14/hr), all in the sake of "shared sacrifice" during a "tough economy".....one that GM's investment house partially was a part of destroying.

Seems we need a definition of “economy” here, IE, from each according to his ability to earn money in terms of the production to each TBTF according to his needs to rip us off through the government and the monetary system.
So, noone is buying anything because they don't have any money. SO, the government will simply give them money to keep them in business.... which, is of course a debt passed on to the citizens. We don't buy, so the government buys, and hands us the bill. We can't win. If we don't spend, they'll spend and send us the bill. Lunacy! November can't come fast enough.
Investing in American industry on our own soil is bad?
I'd say as long as the rest of the world is playing fair we should too. If not...
Then invest (bailout if the term makes you feel good) here and lets run the tables on the global international labor and manufacturing front. Isn't that what Germany did over the last 20 years?
