In other news--western canada is having one of the warmest winters on record. Absolutley no snow. While the ifag generation is both loving it (the opportunity to show off their chinese made D&G shirts in the middle of winter), AND hating it (obvious hard proof of global warming and even more reason to deny keystone) the farmers out here are already worrying. We need that snow pack for a good start to the seeding season. I'll be positioning accordingly.
If there is any truth to the global warming theory, it won't be evident until long after we're gone. To insist that something as short as a human life is an adequate time-frame for determining global weather patterns is sheer lunacy. As for using data outside of one's own experience, well, I'd say it's every bet as legitimate as any other government program driven by politicized idealism which funds data collection.
Besides, we're due for another ice-age anyway, and I think humanity would prefer a tropical environment to a polar one.
Yes, it's was very cold here last week, in the teens for three days straight, a little warmer since about Saturday, but it's supposed to get cold again later this week, lower 20's.
They can spray water on the trees, and some farmers will put giant heaters in the orchards, but of it get's below 28 degrees for more than 4 hours, it will most likely ruin the crop.
That's actually the technique I read that they were using. Misting the crops from below. Interesting.

I JUST heard on NPR about the price of OJ going up, and has been for the past year. Apparantly, BZ oranges have been sprayed with a non-US approved fungicide or something and imports have been halted.
