Powerful 7.9 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Mexico City, No Tsunami Warning
Moments ago we saw headlines flashing of a major 7.6 magnitude earthquake swaying Mexico City. It turns out the earthquake was even stronger, and according to the USGS is now classified as 7.9. From Reuters: "MEXICO CITY, March 20 (Reuters) - A major 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck near Acapulco on Mexico's Pacific coast, the U.S. Geological Survey said on Tuesday. Earlier it had been reported at 7.6 magnitude." Luckily, as Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher notes, "Mexican TV reports no major damage in the State of Oaxaca" citing the local governor.

Bad thing.. these things are always bigger that first reports and even a little is a lot on a log scale.
Surface quake, usually much weaker than that. There has been many powerful surface quakes lately, conspiracy theorists are ablaze. Tin foil hat says HAARP-induced, but I personally haven't looked enough into it to have an opinion.
It definitely points either at something unnatural or at manipulated data.
Moreover, 7.9 quake that does not cause damage? I call bullshit. There should be collapsed buildings, damaged roads and so on, spotting the landscape everywhere.
I have worked in seismology for a few years and you are right about the surface quakes. Very strange. I can also tell you that HAARP won't cause these things. HAARP can't focus massive amounts of energy anywhere in the world underground, and there is simply no way to know enough about underground geology, crack patterns and stresses to be able to trigger large earthquakes using a small amount of energy. The smaller surface quakes are probably due to fracking.

I see seismograms like this from mining blasts. A blast in pristine rock generates all P-wave and no S-wave, whereas with normal earthquakes there is a small P-wave followed by a larger S-wave. Only S-waves can interact with the surface to create Love waves, which are even more destructive. The end result is that a blast should not cause nearly as much building damage as an earthquake of comparable energy.
The Virginia event was no mining blast. It released more energy than the Hiroshima nuke. Furthermore, the aftershock sequence was very weak. Aftershocks on stressed faults follow certain statistical laws. Looks like this "quake" was not on a stressed fault. Might not have been on a fault at all. It might also have been shallower than its stated 6km. Depth readings are unreliable for shallow quakes.
The Denver surface quake (which came shortly after the Virginia quake) might also have been a nuke, though the seismogram went down the memory hole. Both Virginia and Denver were rumored to have underground NWO bug-out bases. Is someone in our military trying to prevent WWIII by forcing the elites to take their chances on the surface with the little people? There were surface quakes and possible underground bases in northern NM but the quakes were near faults and/or volcanoes that were active in the geologically recent past.
As for the Mexico quake: Our own MrGneiss said one was coming. Sorry, MrGneiss. No common sense in crazy times? WTF? Is The Onion Reality spreading? Or is the cause somehow astronomical?
It makes no sense. Gravitational influences are so small. The whole Planet X thing is guaranteed to be bogus. I'm still thinking even the earthquake thing is a fluke. Let's wait till Sept. 24 and see if another Pacific Rim city eats it. The part from California to Alaska is quiet... too quiet.

Exactly, I am staying put in secure location and have everything flat in metals until after that date.
Does anybody have anything more? The steam volcanoes and crazy weather in the US and a few other things make me think that we are than due. There have been a lot medium but unusual quakes reported from Oklahoma through Tennessee that aren't on the USGE site over the last few months.

I noticed a few big quakes around MXC on the 2011 earthquake clip a few days ago. it was very interesting to see aftershocks of large quakes occurring halfway across the world. Strangely silent were the faults on the east coast.
I've previously seen research showing loose correlation between solar and tectonic activity; the sun's coming into the peak of its 11 year cycle, I hope that doesn't correlate to earthquakes this year. I am no astronomer but I am pretty good with numbers. The SUN is 8 light-minutes away from earth, Jupiter is 40 light-minutes away on average while Saturn is 80 light-minutes away.
