The big government propaganda machine, otherwise known as our mainstream media, has done a great job promoting Mitt as the only viable choice to face Obama. Well, I suppose they would take Huntsman, and in an emergency, anyone but Paul. I have never seen a more concerted and blantant effort by the media to ruin someone than we are seeing with Paul. It's as if they are acting on concert, driven by some unseen command control apparatus. Obviously Paul threatens the priciple power players in this country, most notably the financial elite and the federal reserve. It's eye opening to see just how far their tentacles of power reach, and how easily the public can be manipulated. One would have thought that after the financial debacle and resultant bailouts, the public would not so easily forget that many of these companies, along with the fed, made decisions that greatly jepordized our republic. Taking money from these enterprises should be a toxic pill for any candidate, but the press doesn't see it that way. On the contrary, the press sees this as a seal of affirmation. Many things are broken in the country, but this unholy alliance of the press, big banks and big government is like a terminal cancer.
People don't want to know. It hurts their head to think. They think if they ignore the problem it will go away. There are very few who want to be unplugged from the matrix.

It should be noted that these are OLD numbers (at least in political campaign terms) and have not been updated in some time. The point, however, is not the amount of the contribution but the style of the contributors. All Wall Street, all finance.... Look at these (updated) totals NOW and I'm sure the trend is even more concerning.

Can you steal a Billion dollars from your City Government? How about your County Government? How about your State Government? Probably not.
