In Euroland you can save the Banks (i.e. Ireland) or the governments. BUT NOT BOTH! Just not possible. The only way would be through massive transfers of wealth from countries like Germany that have promised their voters that they won't do it. It is even forbidden by their constitution and their constitutional court has already even ruled about its inconstitutionality.
How do they get out?
Only by lying their buts off to their electorate...
