Wow. If the bogus LEI numbers today are that bad, think about how bad the real numbers are.

Hmm.. that gets me thinking.. The reference and acronym should be changed to "Leading Indicators of the Economy" or.. LIE.

Why an Easy Fed Isn’t Good for Stocks

"The knee-jerk reaction in the stock market, of course, has been to believe that low interest rates forever = high stock prices. The theory is that financial repression forces investors to move money to riskier investments, such as stocks.

However, Barry Knapp at Barclays Capital has been arguing for several months now that history suggests financial repression isn’t necessarily a good thing for stocks, particularly from the vantage point of price to earnings multiples...."

"...If Knapp’s correct, this is bad news for stock investors. It seems that the forward momentum in earnings growth is stalling, and without an expansion in multiples, it’s going to be tough for stocks to find a catalyst for a sustained significant rise – with or without the Fed’s help."

OT:  Can any of you people point me in the right direction
to do some phone tracing / hacking?

<rant>
I'm now getting regular calls on my cell phone from some
fuck wads out in India trying to scam and or spam me.
They're calling claiming to help me fix my "virus" problem..

I do realize that its potentially illegal to trace calls..  But,
I also realize its futile to report the fraud / abuse to any agency.
And the carrier is happy enough charge me for the call.. I've
never freely given info to scumbag criminals through social
networking and still this shit happens..  Problem is that they
can hop through so many CLECs and play hidey-hide.. fuckers.

People just fucking suck.. </rant>
