Romney Clarifies Statement On Poor People
In the aftermath of yesterday's SNAFU in which the GOP presidential candidate made it clear just why "he is not concerned about poor people", Andy Borowitz has intercepted the follow up explanation of what Romney really wanted to say...
From the Borowitz Report
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney today released the following letter to the American people:
Dear American People:
Yesterday, comments I made about poor people made me look terrible. This always seems to happen when I say what I really believe.
The fact is, I do care about poor people. That’s because I’m poor myself, when you compare me to Mark Zuckerberg.
According to most projections, Facebook’s IPO should net Mr. Zuckerberg a personal fortune of $28 billion. I couldn’t make a pile of dough-re-mi like that even if I fired people twenty-four hours a day.
Now, let’s take a look at Mitt Romney’s net worth: a measly $200 million. Now do you see why I consider myself poor? Compared to Mark Zuckerberg, Mitt Romney is practically a crack whore.
Now, I’m not going to sit here and envy a rich person like Mark Zuckerberg. That’s exactly what President Obama wants poor people like me to do. Mark Zuckerberg made his money fair and square, by creating useful products like imaginary sheep and angry birds. Say what you will about Facebook, it has totally revolutionized the way we waste our lives.
The fact is, if you’re poor in America, you should do what Mark Zuckerberg did: create a social network. I’ve just started my own, called TwoFaceBook. With TwoFaceBook, your profile doesn’t stay the same for more than two seconds.
In closing, there’s one more reason I don’t worry about poor people. They have Groupons.
Vote for me,
Mitt Romney

The magic underwear made him do it. It wasn't his fault.
He's just being honest. Bone-headed and honest.
lol...no one enjoys a good parody anymore.
Poe's Law strikes again.
It's what happens when you don't give a shit about what a politician says.
Poor people? They deserve it.
Go get a fucking job.
There you go, clarified that one... Can I be President now?
Listen to Mike Andrews, he has all the answers ...

Had to look it up, thanks ;-)
My Greek language and philosophy instructor always derided facetious remarks since someone will take them for face value.
Wow, this law applies pretty widely, e.g. to trolls on ZH. Hard to tell them from the real kooks.
MDB is a perfect example. I still can't figure it out, but it entertains the hell out of me anyway.
Fuckin' Romboid rocks, dude. Poor people should be in the army, fighting other poor people, or else made into little blocks of soylent green to be fed to other poor people. If they are poor, then they can't or don't work, right? So what good are they? They can't be debt slaves if they don't work. They can only be consumption unit robots to consume goods made by debt slaves on treadmills. But I guess that is a use, in the economy. So Romboid should care about poor people.
I'm guessin' he really, really does. He makes me so proud to be a republican.
don't they refer to us as eaters?
Useless Eaters is the term they use for us, i believe. Useless Eaters.
Foot meets mouth again
i think he is very concerned about the poor.. they need to get fat so he can suck them dry again and again.
He mixes them up with the Pore people who tend to him at the spa.
or the Pour people...
mormons don't drink.
Only the blood of their victims....
Excuse me? Never take just one mormon with you fishing. You'd better take two otherwise he'll drink all your beer.
If there weren't any poor people, who would Corzine and his Goldman pals steal from?
It's Jamie who runs the SNAPS card biz...don't forget about Jamie.
Meh. What is this, Gawker?
In the words of the departed Leona Helmsley..
"Only the poor pay taxes!"
That statement is soo old now, it's not even true anymore.
You made me look it up.
According to Wiki and therefore by definition, true, the quote is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leona_Helmsley
Disappointed, I heard that yeeears ago on the news when they were taking her to trial for tax evasion and that statement really stuck in my head since then. No truer words been spoken.
I feel in my heart of hearts we are witnessing a global consolidation of wealth into the hands of few and fuk the poor. No justice, it's just us.
-JP.
Actually, the "poor" in America do pretty well. Don't know about other states, but here in the land of 'fruits and nuts' our "poor" get:
1) Cash Aid (formerly known as AFDC; TANF)
2) Free daycare for their kids while they're working on their GED or looking for work
3) Food Stamps
4) Medi-Cal (free medical care for themselves and their children)
5) Section 8 housing
6) WIC
7) SSI (for the "disabled." Includes those addicted to narcotics)
8) Social Security (for the retired)
9) Med-Care (again; for the retired)
10) Medicare prescription coverage (again; for the retired)
Pity should be reserved for the truly "poor" working stiff who doesn't qualify for the first 7 above, and actually pays for everyone else's.
We have the wealthiest "poor" in the world...
True. Being poor in America compares to being rich in many countries.
Yes, our poor are practically royalty compared to some tribes in the Congo.
How lucky they are indeed.
Too bad our poor (urban anyway) don't have forests on which to survive. Maybe increase afforestation, decrease SNAP?
Wait for it...wait for it...
(huge flatuation)
There you go...Comment made.
at least you were kind enough to keep your comment within your intellectual parameters.
The USA has the fattest poor people in the world.
https://www.google.com/search?q=fat+poor+people&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=1a8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=np&prmd=imvnsfd&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=fjErT-PNA8qwsAKlgrW6Ag&ved=0CG4QsAQ&biw=1611&bih=883
Hey that sounds like class warfare! You can't leave out the rich in the USA. They are also the fattest people in the world. ;-)
(pardon my mis-post)
You think American poor would be the hunter or the hunted in the forest? I think they would survive 3 hours.
Ahmen, brother.
And professional trolls and douchebaggers like yourself believe all of the above are easy to obtain and received at the same time.
Try just getting the Soc Sec which is supposed to officially come to those already vested?
You're a moron, so keep on working on behalf of those super-thieves known as derivatives dealers and private and public banksters.
So, pointing out that California's "poor" have access to lots of benefits puts me in league with banksters?
Frankly, we should let the poor feed on the carcasses of politicians and banksters.
Your assumption as to my personal beliefs has made you the ass.
(P.S. I'm neither a fan of Romney nor Obama... A plague on both their houses)
No, the real problem is that you think "the poor" somehow magically covers all the people on all the entitlement programs but doesn't include the "working stiff" who really deserves pity.
Plenty of "the poor" are working. The poorest I've ever been was when I was working full-time at Starbucks. Nice brief bout of homelessness, literally difficulty eating on a few occasions, etc. I qualified for some of those great benefits you mentioned, but lemme tell you, I'd have done anything to get into a job that paid a living wage.
To anyone with a long list of all the "great" features of poverty in the USA, I say: try it yourself or shut the fuck up.
It's not what you think. Not at all.
I think thats the point.
I would hazard a guess that most here at ZH started out "poor" and are now ok. We all...outside of the rich Hamy & MDB...lol...know what it is.
I did. It sucks.
The issue is why do they stay poor or do people move in and out of "poordom"? If its why do they stay poor, shouldn't we be asking ourselves other uncomfortable questions?
Is it individual fate?
Was it "easier" for one individual to "go down" and live comfortably while another said no efffing way I'm staying here and move back up? What were the life decisions they made? Did those decisions contribute to terminal "poorness"? Who's responsible for those decisions?
Its more complex when we bore down into the meat of it.
Is it humane to just give them "stuff" in order to keep them poor, out of sight and off the streets forever I guess is the question we really need to ask ourselves.
I don't think so.
You can change the subject, sure. Personally, I'm for gutting absolutely everything and letting everyone fend for themselves, because it's the only way we're going to build a better society.
Anyone who says the poor have it *good* is a liar or a fool.
Which is Pool Shark? Damned if I know.
I'm not trying to change the subject, I'm trying to expand it. Living where I do, I can share some examples...as I'm sure you can too if you're willing.
I know (personally) guys (and gals) who only work when they want too. To them, life is not a status thing or how much can I accumulate before I kick off to the next adventure of my being.
Its just about what they want to do with their time while alive. For the most part they don't suck on the system, they just enjoy life...sometimes I think more than I do...lol.
My point is, everyone is different in their goals in life and what makes them happy. And I don't have a problem with that at all.
Until, I'm forced to pay for the guy next door and the families WIC benefits as his only real goal in life, to me, seems to be screwin his ole lady blind, fishing and hunting ;-)
nmewn,
I doubt I'll convince you, but let me give you one thing to think about. Let's assume that the reason you and I have what we have is that the vast majority of people have lower IQs and/or lower drives to succeed financially. We succeed where they fail or don't even try. Many others have great drive and/or IQ, but they are bogged down by drugs, lack of opportunity, or other circumstances. There are a LOT more of them than us. If we did not contribute a (very) small percentage of what we earn each year to keeping the rest of humanity comfortable, they would rise up. The .01% lost sight of this over the last few decades. Let's not the rest of us.
"There are a LOT more of them than us."
I pay tribute to neither king nor pauper. I instinctively, violently, react to extortion by all methods or pretense.
Call it, a character flaw on my part ;-)
It's called narcissism. Lack of empathy. Selfishness. I'm sure that no one ever helped you achieve what you have, and that you will never rely on another for anything. But then again I am talking to the wind when I talk to a narcissist. ;(
Laughing...
"Let's assume that the reason you and I have what we have is that the vast majority of people have lower IQs and/or lower drives to succeed financially. We succeed where they fail or don't even try. Many others have great drive and/or IQ, but they are bogged down by drugs, lack of opportunity, or other circumstances. There are a LOT more of them than us. If we did not contribute a (very) small percentage of what we earn each year to keeping the rest of humanity comfortable, they would rise up."
Those are your words sport, taken directly from above.
I chose to leave out the obvious love and appreciation you have of yourself and the projection of your character flaw onto me (as can be seen in your quote and my response to it) in order to concentrate on the issue at hand...which was your appeal to me involving extortion and theft.
To come back and claim I'm a narcissist, after I clearly rejected it and yours out of hand the first time, shows not only the fact you are one...but your claim to it is completely without merit.
Now run along and take your remedial course in Alinsky.
Define "good."
If "good" means having a roof over your head, food, medical coverage, and cash to buy clothing with a little left over for beer, cigarettes and cable TV; then yes; the American "poor" have it "good."
Though it is a lifestyle that few on this site would choose, millions of Americans do so for a combination of reasons. For many it beats working; lots of free time and nobody to answer to. As nmewn points out: many of us (myself included) have been "poor" at one time or another. There was a time when I skipped meals prior to paydays because the bank account was low, though (fortunately) I never considered seeking public assistance because I had to look at myself in the mirror every day. Like most others who have gone through tough times, I made a conscious decision to better myself and not slip into idleness and dependency.
Am I a liar or a fool?
How about neither.
I'm an individual who has spent many years working with the people on the above-listed programs. I have seen how those programs work, and how the people who use them run (mismanage?) their lives. I have seen that a great majority of them have made a conscious decision to stay right where they are. They may not be particularly well-off, but they are, by their own standards, "comfortable." They choose to use the social safety net as a hammock.
If "good" means having a roof over your head, food, medical coverage, and cash to buy clothing with a little left over for beer, cigarettes and cable TV; then yes; the American "poor" have it "good."
Yeah, the poor don't all have all that. That's what I'm saying.
Some people have all that--and honestly, they don't qualify as "poor," despite whatever programs they may be exploiting.
Of course, there are big success stories no matter where you look. Just like that Algers hero who started from nothing to build an empire.
They're just not representative.
What KIND of medical coverage? (hint: if you aren't under 18 or over 64 the answer is NO coverage)
What KIND of roof over your head? (hint: the kind that doesn't so much stop the bullets prevalent in most section 8 neighborhoods)
You're a fool. One who speaks loudly about things with which he quite obviously has ZERO personal experience, believes the mentally ill can make rational decisions, and that the few souls he has managed to encounter somehow represent a "majority" of the poor.
I've been poor too...if you, and nmewn, and myself, and...uh....where's your "majority" again?!
Not only are you a fool, but a gaping asshole to boot!
Yes, started out poor and made some bad decisions along the road to end up poor again, however, worked like a dog to not be poor! Relatively speaking! Actually just another debt slave!
I don't think it is fate. I am a small business owner in the process of trying to hire at least 4 new employees. Hired 4 last Friday and only one showed up for work on Monday. It seems to me, that their working the system is their job! They collect their unemployment, get food stamps and whatever the f else, and are happy sitting on the friggin couch watching whatever it is they watch on the idiot box!
There appears to be no work ethic left in this country! Extremley frustrating!
Man, haven't we all made bad decisions over the course of our lives.
All of us...its part of the deal. Sometimes we even compromise instead of staying on true course.
The thing is, is to not dwell on it...learn from it and move on. I mean really, if Snookie (whatever the hell her name is) can become "rich & famous" here anyone can...lol.
Hang in on the biz, it may not grow at the pace you want, but get the right people in and it will...look ahead, not behind.
Yeah the poor are just living it up aren't they? Because nothing says "I'm livin' large" like food stamps and section 8 housing huh? It's like having a Centurion Card in your wallet. The world is your Oyster.
We have the fattest poor people on the planet.
Thats really all there is to say.
You could also say that junk food provides more calories per dollar. But you'd have to think, wouldn't you?
I could also say EBT cards should not work in order for me to buy it for them..,but then of course, you'd call me heartless...somehow.
So they get fatter everyday, thanks to you or me?
and we obviously also have the dumbest rich white people on the planet don't we?
I don't believe I said anything about skin color. Pretty sure Krugman, Geithner, Blankfein etc. qualify.
Is there something on your mind?
....in Canada everyone gets all of the above...we're f__ked
Have you any of you little sister ,I'm better than you assholes had a good job and everything going for them and then broke your neck and had workman's comp not pay 20% of your bills so your credit goes to hell then settle for 20c on the dollar because the fuking attorneys are paid off by the ins company's so that you have to go to public support?.
The system is now set up so that insurance company's shirk their responsibility to the taxpayers and then pay out bonuses because the are so good. The system is broken and..............
You have no idea why the people are poor, you are just hi and mighty bullshit artists................ thinking you are so good until............. you get hit.
Sure their are people that abuse the system, there are people that abuse the system in every class we have in the USA. Probably the most righteous and full of bullshit is the fuking squidders. We could probably double the benefits to all the poor if we just cut off the subsidies to the squidders.
Then the "poor" could get a productive life.
Do not tell me they dont want it because that is bullshit.
You have never been poor if you believe that.
In this country as long as a person is trying to help themselves... we should help them.
Remember that ole' Bushes Texas rangers would have been a loosing business by 20m if it was not for specially prepared tax breaks. Instead he made like 80m on the deal.
that 100m$ could have gone alot further helping alot of people out than 1 already rich bitch.
+1 for that. But nobody has hit the nail on the head yet. Let me try. Cultural optimism has been deliberately destroyed in this country. There are no national goals today except winning the lottery. Cultural pessimism rules our day. Welfare and all of the safety net components were not created to help people. They were created to substitute for a real economy. They are intended to keep people from rioting as they demonstrated they could do when the leaders of optimism in this country were assassinated in the 60's such as JFK, RFK and MLK. Who after 1968 led the charge for optimism? Law and order Nixon? Moral malaise Carter? Ronnie ketchup is a vegetable Reagan?
Actually, Reagan provided the only glimmer of hope for this country with the SDI policy. After living for thirty years thinking we could be vaporized by MAD, he said out loud and on national TV that nuclear weapons could be made impotent and obsolete. The joy of removing the nuclear Sword of Damocles that threatened to wipe out everything we worked for in a bright mushroom cloud lasted about 15 minutes. Then the MIC establishment news media mocked the taking of our fate into our own hands by calling it Star Wars. Ever since then it has been downhill and we are back to being threatened with instant immolation by the Peace Prize President. Howz that for aliteration!
Gingrich is an idiot, but calling for moon colonies only sounds crazy because of how nuts the world has become. That was actually one of the enterprises from the 60's that drove people to become engineers and scientists. That kind of project was the epitome of cultural optimism. They weren't interested in how big their paycheck was going to be. They wanted to participate in something that would raise humanity out of the mud and into the stars. Instead, the Rappaport Report said that would create too many scientists and engineers, so we converted them into today's quants whose goal is to amass a bigger bankroll than the next guy.
There, I think I nailed it.
You forgot two Shark.
1. Free mobile phones with 250 minutes.
2. The new free diaper program for their new born children.
Give the man a Nobel Peace Prize
+12 beers and counting!
Sorry... not until he bombs a soverign nation on his own initiative.
JFC... What a fucking idiot..
Of course he doesn't concern himself with poor people.
You can't fire poor people.

Best mustache in the biz.
it is amazing that Wall St. can stuff anyone they pick and ram he down into American's throat, and Americans swallow him with a smile.
Humm... How much was Pets.com and all the tech crap worth in 1999... There is a reason they are cashing out only 5Billion... Still too high but soon we will be talking Blackstone style (wink wink...)
"When you compare me to Mark Zuckergerg"
Fucking lol. How is this clown "electable" again?
The problem with Romney isn't that he doesn't give a crap about poor people, that is obviously true. The problem is that he says he cares about the middle class, which is a bare face lie! He is perfectly happy to suck the life blood out of everyone!
Can we possible conceive of the idiocy and simplemindedness of the douchebagger Ameritards who would seriously, and I mean seriously, ever support such private bankster thieving trash like Romney?
I understand why Trump, who should be homeless all the times and billions he's lost, but he keeps receiving super-welfare from the banksters and Wall Streeters bailing out his penniless butt, but anyone who is remotely sane????
Romney clarifies statement on gerbil jamming.. Flatulences to follow..
March 6 2012
Mittens isn't worried about the poor because he knows the elite will force the middle class to take care of them.
There is only two sure-fire ways to become a multi-millionaire: Win the Lottery or be elected to Congress.
mitt romney's legendary record shredding skills will vaporize any of his truthful comments in hft seconds...
fuck romney
So I guess you folks want to vote for the negro again. Not an Obamney fan, but this country can't take anymore of the "Bernank" & Obama ! Newt's a fucking joke...GIVE ME RON PAUL !!!!!!!
Brain Fail.
No, no no
Obamney is an Afro American, I mean an Afro African . . .no make that an Afro Polynesian. I meant a Polynesian African or something like an Afro Polynesian......Well who knows really.
Afro American? Def hair, yo.
Like it or not, Romney had it right. "Poor" people are oftentimes "poor" because they want to be. They're also "poor" because democrats want them to be. Romney's focus on the middle, the people who I still believe want to contribute and work, is the right focus. The "poor" just want their "Obama" money, which was made clear in the 30 second soundbite after the last election.
Debate all you want about sheep, slaves, taxes, etc., but inherently people want to work, and obama isn't providing anything for it.
Willard is the central banksters' candidate. The inflation tax hurts the poor the most.
Mitt Romney confronted on the Federal Reserve
And he's even driving a Government Motors truck! That should tell you about his judgement...
""Poor" people are oftentimes "poor" because they want to be."
The takes the prize for Dumbest Fucking Shit Ever Uttered.
i think it should get the award for 'most obvious' fact and you are a moron.
head South out of downtown Chicago, exit the Dan Ryan anywhere South of 60th Street and spend a few minutes if you dare (you'd be safer in Iraq) and observe what the fuck is going on in these neighborhoods, besides the UPS truck that drives through there with our money, confiscated by the U.S. govt and being handed out up and down those streets.
you'd think the dumb fucks who keep stealing our money to give to these assholes would be smart enough to know that if they want to continue to be able to rape and pillage our hard work then they ought to at least get out of our way.
Read my comment above...... Fact is there are free loaders in every class........... bets are if you run the numbers the most freeloader money goes to the squidders. I have been on both sides and just have a hard time believing anybody wants to be poor and on welfare, food stamps etc. People that say this cannot possibly ever been in this predicament.
I like your contrarian points of view, and if you said "Romney's fake focus is on the middle" I'd agree even more.
pobrecito pinche puto
romney aint my favorite
but the sad commentary is he did not say what is attributed to him.. and the follow up is a poor attempt to get a laugh .
and the likes of the lemmings just follow the loudest smear.
this quote is a pretend quote.. pushed forward by the political smear fACTORY.
I'm glad you found the Shift key near the end of that rambling.

NO MORE ALIASES...
He doesn't care about poor people. And by his definition, a poor person is anyone with a yearly income less than $1 million.
The only difference between rich and poor people is that poor people have no money and rich people do.
Haha. Sometimes Borowitz is better than The Onion.
500 Zuckerbergs could pay off the entire $15T U.S. deficit. Or a few thousand guys like Ronmey could kick in say 20% of their fortunes along with guys like Zukerberg, plus a small contribution from Apple, GE, etc. Or we could all give up the social security, medicare, etc we've been paying into our whole lives to ensure that guys like him get to keep on truckin' in style. The .1% must thank their God every day that the sheep are so fucking stupid.
Your math is seriously flawed and God only knows why. Zuckerbergs aren't born on trees in case you didn't know. Other than that call me stupid.
30 billion times 500 = $15 Trillion.
My math is fine. There are indeed a few thousand people in the U.S. alone who have a combined net worth far greater than our national debt. Per your request -- you are stupid.
Check out yer "precious" social security:
http://reason.com/blog/2008/10/24/saving-social-security-episode
Then check your premises.
Cartoons will explain all? Check your premises.
I think he meant he doesn't worry about them because they will get everything they aspire to, for free, from our liberal govt. and it's motivation killing social programs.
OW, I think I hurt my wrist typing this.
Soc. Sec. Disability.....come to Papa!
y'all are crazy to take this seriously, if you are. The statement in context is altogether different. Don't be such tools, whether you like him or not, be responsible. My problems with MItt are manifold, but this is not one of them.... more concerning, for instance, is Trump's endorsement. I'd still vote for him against Obama any day. Yeah, yeah, I know... we've been through all that--save it. Christ...
Mitt is disconnected and if he wins the nomination he will lose in the general election obama will win in a landslide i expect a rouge canidate who is unknown to run if not obama will be president till 2016
a rouge canidate who is unknown
http://begreenman.com/Assets/manufacturer_red.jpg
rouge is french for red...the same color as your moms cheeks when she is flush from sex
Also the same color as your beady little rodent eyes.
My dilema is I DON'T want Obama to win, but I DON'T want to NEED to vote for the "business as usual, corporate lackey" GOP mandated TURD, AND I don't want to waste my vote!
So do I write in who I really want, hoping SOMETIME in the near future the GOP "get's it", or go with the "temporary fix" of voting JUST to keep Obama out?
We can afford to add TRILLIONS to our deficit, can't we afford a third party?
Hint: Mittens won't beat Obama, and even if he does, it doesn't matter.
Correct.
A Romney administration might be able to marginally improve UE numbers by the second year, and the market would be happy for a while.
A Romney administration will not reduce the debt, and the Fed will continue to run the Ponzi with its TBTF partners.
Then of course there is always the specter of war... preferably against someone with oil.
Bottom line: this shit-house is still gonna burn.
Hahahahahaaaaaaa!
Good one!
OK, OK,
the "official" UE numbers. LOL
Welcome to the (Romney) Matrix
Mitt Romney’s individual contributors (please see end for list of financial institution contributors)
John Paulson, hedge fund manager, Bob Mercer, Renaissance Technologies, Bill Koch, member of Koch family, and various other hedge fund managers and private equity LBO firms, etc.
John Paulson was the hedge fund manager who made an estimated $5 billion one year betting on the economic meltdown thanks to a supertanker-sized amount of insider information. (Remember that when Alan Greenspan left his position as chairman of the Federal Reserve, he went to work for Paulson at his hedge fund.)
To illustrate the direct wealth transfer in action: Paulson buys a credit default swap (CDS) for $1.4 million, which later pays out $100 million --- and he does that any number of times.
Paulson and the other banksters and hedge fundsters, now have their billions and A.I.G. and Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley, et al., “must” be bailed out by the taxpayers --- who later lose their jobs and homes or residences, and must go on “austerity” programs because Paulson and Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase and GE bought those CDSes and AIG and the others who sold them didn’t have any capital on hand to back them up.
Bob Mercer’s Renaissance Technologies is an institutional investor in the major banks and oil companies which were heavily involved and responsible for the global meltdown as they speculated – or financially manipulated – the prices of oil, energy and commodities – jacking up the paper market price of oil to 13.8 times higher than the actual physical market by May of 2008 by super-selling oil futures to each other, forcing the price upwards.
They used the same scheme to jack up the prices of refinery-involved chemicals and oil transportation costs (using forward freight futures to raise the price of supertanker rental and bulk carriers, etc.)
Mitt Romney’s Fortune
Born into wealth, Romney would accumulate even more by selling debt, loading companies with debt and more debt by taking out loans against companies in leveraged buyout deals to reward himself.
He accumulated even more money by avoiding taxes; utilizing offshore finance centers in the Caymans, Switzerland, and other locations. (The leveraged buyout structure itself is predicated on tax avoidance and shifting the burden of taxation onto the workers due to the tax deductibility of debt payments.)
This is what plutocracy looks like!

would you care to contrast this group with the Obama supporters?
Why bother? Both groups smell to high heaven...
Everybodys All American asked:
How do you contrast something with itself?
"How do you contrast something with itself?"
+1000!
I can't believe the fucking idiots who say that they'll vote for Willard rather than Obomba thinking that there's a difference. Party Pussies...
You do realize that when of these psycopaths speak of the USA they refer to their corporation, not the country and therefore not us non club members. Of course he doesn't give a rats ass about the poor, or the the middle class or the poor bastards paying 30-40% income tax, the upper middle class. We are nothing more than a resource in their minds. Every once in a while they forget to lie.
Buzz
Bingo...the correct answer is that government is an industry unto itself. That public service institution stuff is so early 20th century.

I'm so fucking pissed right now I could shit my britches.
How LOW Will These Foreclosure Mills Go? (Collectively Slap Federal Judge John J. McConnell Right In The Face)
This is outrageous! At the last hour, on the eve of court ordered mediation requiring the attendence of ALL interested parties; the Mills join forces and file THIS CRAP!
This was ordered by Judge McConnell on January 5, 2012!
The Mills wait almost a FULL MONTH to file this garbage!
I hope Judge McConnell finds this as offensive as I do; sanctions all "officers of the court" involved, and further, orders defendants to PAY ALL COURT COSTS.
Sickening! (sorry /rant off)
[edit - many of these "law firms" are from MA - the rest from neighboring RI]
This is one continuous creeping coup against law and constitution from beginning to end.....Wake the fuck up!!!!!HELLLO
And they sent poor old Leona Helmsley up the river for saying, "The rich don't pay taxes...the little people pay taxes."
Yeah, tragic. For once, a Jew(ess) told the truth.
You should get sister-momma to wash that hood for you.
I'm pretty sure the tax evasion had something to do with it.
Chicken hawk & corporate welfare bum Romney agrees with Obama in jailing US citizens w/o trial & lawyer

While evaluating, always remember that water flows to least resistance. If puzzled, you'll figure it out soon.
It also seeks it's own level.
Water also changes form readily from solid... to liquid... to gasbag.
And that with time it can make the Grand Canyon.
What he really meant to say was: Let them eat cake.
Obama is going to kick his ass from San Diego to Bar Harbor....
Hell, Romney will have people with pitchforks chasing him by early October....
And this is coming from someone who thinks Obama has been a failure....
Some choice, huh?
President of the United States (Select One)
[ ] Douche Bag O
[ ] Douche Bag R
[X] None of the Above
You may want none of the above, but there will be a douche bag sleeping in the Lincoln bedroom come 2013...
You do realize that the purpose of the primaries and the election is to arrive at the least douchiest bag....at least in theory...
The purpose of the primaries and the general election is to STEAL OUR TIME. It's to keep us locked into the oligarchy's game. Nope, not going to validate this shit by voting on THEIR ballots that tell them we want to keep playing THEIR game.
There are only two outcomes:
1) Return to the US Constitution (in hopes that it can, in the face of resource collapse, keep us together);
2) Status quo runs us right over the cliff (drags the oligarchs to the guillotine).
Clearly the people don't care about the Constitution, so #2 is going to be the direction we go.
Thats is probably a fair description of the possible forks in the road.....
People are fucking clueless about the Constitution... it is truly sad...
The US will possibly disintegrate into ~4 regions once the petrodollar collapses. I do not see a lot love between the regions going forward....
It will likely be the great leap backward to feudalism with lip service paid to the old constitution...
Suprisingly few oligarchs will have their heads roll... let's just say that they are a bit more mobile than in previous Revolutions....
+1
To pick the nit: Obama's not going to kick anyone's ass. All he's going to do is fucking show up and capitalize on complacency.
Fair enough.... if the Evangelicals don't bust their butts for Mitt, it will appear as an ass kicking...
Romney will be the poster boy for a "restructured tax code".....
BTW, Obama has more shit than you do, and he ain't rushing to give it to you either.
Watch what happens when this new race* continues to run unchecked...
*the Narcissist and the Sociopath, finally in Control.
The world (starting here) needs leaders who understand the mission,
compassion for the poor is not only part of the mission,
it (the plight of the poor) would be a fraction of what it is today,
had We kept our eyes on the new race.
This article was incredibly funny. Thank you so much for sharing your wit.
Just to clarify - poor people are the ons without money, right?
Politics is now less about intelligent discussion and more about buying/influencing votes. They all have to "seem" to care, don't they?
It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Ahhh yes. Religion & state taxation for the poors benefit.
O'Barry should be careful when he speaks of these things, the state is not anonymous, in any sense of the word ;-)
"Be careful that you don't do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven."
We'll let Jerry Lewis know right away.
