Russia Retaliates Against US: Puts Radar Station On Combat Alert, Prepares To Take Out European Missile Defense Systems

Tyler Durden's picture

Earlier today, we presented the latest developments in the escalating possibility of an imminent air (and potentially land) campaign targeting Syria by the "western world", a move that would infuriate not only Iran, but also Russia and China, both of which have made it clear they would not sit idly by and let such an "aggression" stand. Now it is Russia's turn to retaliate. Cutting straight to the chase - in a nationally televized appearance by Russian president Dmitry Medvedev: in response to what the Russian believes is an active incursion and a potential act of eventual aggression on behalf of NATO countries in Eastern Europe (and hence the US), he he said the following (7 minutes in): "First, I am instructing the Defense Ministry to immediately put the missile attack early warning radar station in Kaliningrad on combat alert. Second, protective cover of Russia's strategic nuclear weapons, will be reinforced as a priority measure under the programme to develop out air and space defenses. Third, the new strategic ballistic missiles commissioned by the Strategic Missile Forces and the Navy will be equipped with advanced missile defense penetration systems and new highly-effective warheads. Fourth, I have instructed the Armed Forces to draw up measures for disabling missile defense system data and guidance systems if need be... Fifth, if the above measures prove insufficient, the Russian Federation will deploy modern offensive weapon systems in the west and south of the country, ensuring our ability to take out any part of the US missile defense system, in Europe. One step in this process will be to deploy Iskander missiles in Kaliningrad Region. Other measures to counter the European missile defense system will be drawn up and implemented as necessary. Furthermore, if the situation continues to develop not in Russia's favor we reserve the right to discontinue further disarmament and arms control measures. Besides, given the intrinsic link between strategic offensive and defensive arms, conditions for our withdrawal from the New START Treaty could also arise." That said, he concludes that Russia is still open to dialog. However, if Obama merely intends to bomb any nation at will, we are very much concerned that everything Medvedev has just threatened will be enacted. And exponentially more so when Putin comes back in charge. One thing is certain - Russia is not North Korea, and taking this speech for more empty jawboning is probably not the wisest option.

But I got cable modem? What can I do?

They closed down the FM Internet proposed by The L0pht Heavy Industries as soon as it came online. (Actually it got confiscated and became a DARPA project).

I propose we bring this concept back to life. A low power FM based Internet for spacemonkies only. ZeroNet. That way we can keep the revolution alive after the great collapse.

Hope all you liberals are watching what you did to our country.  This is exactly what happens when you chose a person on ideology rather than on track record, past associations and overall qualifications.  This fool was put in office to somehow show the blacks as yet another appeasement, that slavery was wrong and we want you to have a shot at the highest office in the land.  Perhaps they too will wake up to who this clown is and how utterly unqualified he is and when they vote they should vote on qualifications NOT color!!   Muslims, black panthers, ultra liberals and community agitators are not presidential material.  This man is the poster child for all that is wrong with America, and the failed policies of liberals.

I believe the current status on the central bank situation is that only Iran, N. Korea, Sudan, and Cuba are left without a banking system controlled by the Red Shields.  I believe that the order listed is the order in which they will fall.  Libya and Iraq were both on that list not so long ago, and we know how that went.  It is my opinion that before the Libya bullshit began, the MSM seemed to be priming us for wars in N. Korea and Iran next, but then TPTB saw Libya as a bigger threat (and prob also an easier target) as Gadhafi's snub of USD for his oil (i.e. pay me in gold, bitchez!) and African monetary union with a gold backed currency were gaining traction.

After years of consideration and thought, I eventually came to the obvious conclusion that every single human being shares a common connection through the currency in which populations accept as legal tender. Using this premise, it becomes painfully obvious in understanding why there is so much corruption and deceit in our world today, as the World Reserve Currency, the US Dollar, is corrupt and deceitful at the most fundamental level. When the currency in which is trusted as the reserve currency of the world is based on lies and corruption, the users of the currency will inevitably be more prone to committing injustice upon one another. One could describe it as the trickle down effect, but in regards to morality of the people. How are citizens of the world suppose to have an honest and genuine society when the currency the world trusts as honest money is anything but trustworthy!

Upon adopting the understanding that a corrupt currency is directly responsible for the corrupt society we currently live within, I have had many epiphanies that have deeply disturbed my own mental health. I saw the corruption everywhere, and it caused my own endless pain to see my brothers and sisters unaware of why such injustices were occurring and nothing was ever changing. The most troubling of all to me was the link between the Western World's Foreign Policy and the global monetary system. The lives of my friends, family, and fellow human beings have all been severely mislead, as the truth behind the curtain is an ugly one in which few dare to speak against with such clarity and focus, for the fear of what may result leaves many of us paralyzed.

Initially, my new understandings left me with a hatred for the creators of such a system, and I thought that if only they were stopped, everything would be better in the world. However, the more pain I put upon myself by trying to change the external world, the more I began to realize that the only thing I can actually control were my own thoughts and feelings. I began to realize that the words that I said provoked predictable responses, as when I spoke with hatred and anger, I received hate and anger in response to the information I was providing.

So now here I am, a 23 year old sitting behind a MacBook, speaking my mind because I can no longer sit back and be apart of such a world. I will not idly sit back and watch the men, women, and children all around the world suffer at the whims of the few, cleverly hidden behind emotionally charged words to fool the public. It has been pushed to such an extreme that the words that I say gravely understate the importance of what I am trying to communicate. For every moment that passes, the suffering that has laid its hands upon this world haunts my consciousness, but even moreso to those who do not understand why the world is such a nightmare.

The men, women, and children who sign up to protect not only America but the world do so with the understanding that they are willing to risk their own lives to protect the freedom and equality for all in the world. Families all around the world have suffered for thousands of years because the gun has always been the primary way of resolving issues, but I insist that ideas are more powerful than weapons can ever be. This is not just for the people of America, but the citizens all around the world. For we are all interconnected with one another in the current times, like it or not. Those who have laid everything on the line in the past are the reason why we are able to have such a discussion today, and we owe it to our ancestors, but more importantly ourselves to stand up and take our power back.

Scott, I say this with respect, as I have read your posts - both the enthusiastic & the despairing - for many months now. . .

The men, women, and children who sign up to protect not only America but the world do so with the understanding that they are willing to risk their own lives to protect the freedom and equality for all in the world.

this point of view needs to be delved into, it is dissonance with other things you write of, and given the role you have taken on, doesn't mesh.  you are in the "age group" of many who will volunteer to fight these wars against humanity, on behalf of the banks & corporate military machine - killing other humans, other families, friends and neighbours, people who are "in the way" of the land and resources coveted by those who have no souls, no humanity, simply lust for power over all.  no one who volunteers to kill other humans is deserving of "honour" or respect, they are at best ignorant, at worst. . . paid mercenaries.

if people want to "risk their own lives" for "freedom and equality" then the place to do this is right HERE.  no need to be shipped around the world after brainwashing into a fixed point of view - educate yourselves about the reality HERE, and get to work - you write that you've been raised in privilege, and feel the desire to serve - serve your friends, family, neighbours, right HERE - educate self then others by example & deeds.

your recent "awakenings" will continue to guide you, there are years ahead of you to test these truths.  all the best.

Impressive.  Few understand the interconnected nature of evil.  Sociopaths secretly cooperate with each other to give each other routes to power and Darwinian advantage. A culture of abuse inspires the weak-minded to become abusers themselves.  Most people believe they are good but they have become stooges of an evil system which pervades the collective unconscious.

You may ask how such a monstrous system could have been created, how it always outsmarts us and adapts to random acts of goodness seeping through.  It is quite simple, really: Thousands of years ago, evil reached a critical mass of interconnectedness and became sentient.  It is now a parasitic overmind which rules the world and subconsciously rules the hearts of most people, even though they are not aware of it.  The Illuminati call it Lucifer, and they have become so powerful because they know they are a part of him and can communicate with him via occult symbolism in public.  Despite his fearsome reputation, Lucifer is (often quite literally) a paper tiger.  There is nothing truly supernatural about him- he is simply an emergent mind whose neurotransmitters are bullets, child abuse, contagious fear, fraudulent securities, legal statutes, etc.  When one evil deed inspires another, that is one of Lucifer's synapses firing.

Everything Lucifer has, we have given him- often willingly.  We can also take it all away by not being a part of his system, by not "transmitting" his neural impulses into others, and by remembering our oneness.  The solution is within each of us.  Shamans know these truths about the contagious soul-parasite that rules the world, hence the extermination campaign which goes back over a thousand years:

Personally I find this "Santa Fe Devil" much easier to believe in than the traditional cloven-heeled devil.  But regardless of which one is real, notice that the Santa Fe Devil has certain advantages.  First, they say that the Devil's best trick is convincing people that he doesn't exist, well, let's make that harder- which makes people more aware of projecting mind-shadows.  Bonus points for getting the atheists (who tend to hold positions of power) to become aware of how they might be channeling the devil through their policies.  Second, cutting the devil down to size makes him both less scary and less remote, which makes most people more likely to fight him.  Third, the Santa Fe Devil can be effectively lobotomized by burning down the system and generally being good neighbors, which is what we want anyway.  Let radical decentralization become a religion.  I know we can't get rid of the devil without outside help- like a cancer, he can regenerate from a single cell- but a thorough lobotomy would slow him down for a couple hundred years and give us long enough to create Space Wild West, where we will be pretty much impossible for him to control.

I hope the following helps you understand the phenomenon in the widest sense.  Note that predators and parasites have roamed the planet for hundreds of thousands of years, and probably more.  For practical purposes, most species have no choice, because they lack sufficient intellect to become the alternative, namely producers.

These are the 3 fundamental options.  Think about it.  Every lifeform needs certain living conditions to survive, and also fuel (as in "food").  Before modern times, animal predators wandered the earth hunting, chasing, grabbing and consuming whatever the natural processes of earth made available.  And parasites survived on whatever scraps the predators left behind.  The populations of predators and producers could never explode beyond a certain level, because natural processes produce only so many victims for the predators and parasites to consume.

At the beginning of the species, man was a predator too.  He had no choice, for he knew of no alternative.  However, tens of thousands of years ago some very smart and/or lucky human burried some of his excess fruit [and veggies] with an intention to come back later with his family when they got hungry.  But it turned out his family had found enough food near home, or the location he hid the food became dangerous to access, perhaps because heavy sustained rains made rivers too dangerous to cross.  A few years later on a hunting expedition he recognized by the odd rock formations that he was back where he burried his stash.  At first he was perplexed.  He wondered why did he find apple trees where he burried his apples, why did he find pear trees where he burried his pears, why did he find raspberry bushes where he burried his raspberries, and so forth.  What the hell?

This was the first huge "lightbulb illuminates over the head of man" moment.  This man became the first large scale producer in the modern and important sense.  He realized that he could take actions that would lead to substantial quantities of food coming to exist - that would not have otherwise (so-called "naturally", meaning without understanding-driven-action).  From that day forward he showed others how they could take actions that would cause enormous production - orchards and farms.  Soon thereafter one of his neighbors took the next step, closed off a dead-end canyon, populated it with rabbits, sheep, goats and other edible creatures, and made sure they had enough water and plants to survive and become numerous.

In short, they were no longer "hunter-gatherers", they were producers.  They created what would not have existed via natural processes.

The efficiency of production was so extraordinary, the population exploded in his neck of the woods.  No more "starving to death".  No more "being eaten by predators during the hunts".  No more "being poisoned by unknown types of food".

But some men were too... ehhh... lazy?  to "think and act ahead".  They didn't want to make the effort to plant today, but not get to enjoy the consequences (food to eat) until months or years later.  So they didn't.  However, months and years later, when the orchards were full of fruit and veggies, they also didn't want to go to the effort, and accept the dangers, of long hunting and gathering expeditions.  They saw the huge quantity of fruit and veggies the produers had created, and decided to continue to be predators.  Except now they would be predators upon the producers.  Late at night they would sneak into the orchards and steal food.  After a while the producers posted guards to stop the theft.  The predators would then sneak up on the guards, kill them, then steals the food.

This is EXACTLY the dynamic that exists today.  It has never ended, and the phenomenon today is EXACTLY the same.  The predators refuse to produce.  They have literally spent tens of thousands of years or more identifying and optimizing techniques to steal from producers.  In the modern world, this includes throwing some crumbs of their stolen goods to human parasites in exchange for votes that keep them at the top of the food chain.

We are now reaching the ultimate expression of their scheme.  Through intentional manipulation of the media and political systems in every large country, they have literally taken over all governments.  Their purpose is exactly as it always was.  They are too lazy and too unethical to take the actions to produce the goods they need to survive, enjoy and prosper.  So they act exactly as predators have always done --- they simply take what they want.  The predators produce the goods humans need to survive, enjoy and prosper.  The predators simply grab/take/steal the goods they need to survive, enjoy and prosper.  The parasites simply live off of a small percentage of crumbs the predators steal and leave behind for the parasites in exchange for the votes that keep them in power without endless wars and civil uprisings.

In other words, NOTHING HAS CHANGED since the first man learned how to become a producer.

What is important to recognize is this.  For producers, understanding productive phenomenon and techniques, and taking actions based upon that understanding is pretty much a full-time and full-life job.  But predators spend all their time dreaming up and practicing ways to enslave, defraud, manipulate and steal from producers.  This is one reason the predators always win --- their 24/7 mission is to enslave.  The producers have little "free time" to defend themselves, especially today when the predators misdirect the fruits of the producers labors to hire thugs to keep the producers in line.

This is exactly the nature of the modern world.  There is no more fundamental way to describe what is happening, and what has been happening since that first producer identified the fundamental art and science of production.

And the following is important to understand too --- predators act as predators, and predators do not voluntarily compromise, do not keep promises, do not stand down, do not cooperate, do not give up.  The only way to stop a predator is to exterminate the predator.  Even to cage it is very risky, since other predators will work to set it free.  Yes, the predators work in packs.  That should be no surprise.

We are approaching the day of the final "them or us" showdown.  So far the predators are running the tables.  The producers are dazed, confused, disbelieving, often trying to compromise or collaborate, and even turning to support the predators in a vane effort to "get by".  Also, predators are masters of disguise and deceit.  They hide in the tall grass, blend into the forest, slither around on the ground.  For example, just observe the blatant predatory inclination of every republican candidate except RonPaul in the presidential debates.  Their dominant theme is "bomb everyone and everything that moves, violate every human right, invade homes, militarize the cops, and so forth.

The fundamental issue is "predators versus producers".  Everything else is noise.

PS:  Due to the phenomenal efficiency of productive activity, the population of man has risen to a level at least 100 times larger than can be supported by the natural processes of earth.  Therefore, it is not possible for mankind to return to being a predator unless 99% of humanity dies.

Also note this.  Every predator depends upon producers, because without them, he would not have the goods required to survive, much less prosper and enjoy.  In contrast, producers do not at all depend on predators --- producers do fantastic without predators and parasites consuming most of the goods they produce.

at the beginning of the species, man was a scavenger.  Only via a stroke of genetic luck did we achieve a mutation which slacked our jaw muscles a bit and permitted the skull to enlarge and the brain to grow.  With this we were able to scavenge using tools and access far better protein and fat sources than other scavengers could access.

When we mastered fire, we became predators.  Fire was the greatest invention in the history of man and was invented obviously either by Martin Luther King or Garrett Morgan, but I digress.

However, at that point, we started using animals like dogs, some of whom acquired the epigenetic expressions necessary to not fear fire as other animals have/did.  We quickly found out the cheapness of using other lifeforms.  So, parasitism?  It just gives your genes a huge advantage in terms of offspring.

There is no good and bad, it's all just evolution.

Actually, it is time for us producers to move to state 2 of the evolution of sentient beings.  That is, to inorganic consciousness.  The advantages of having an inorganic host for [our] consciousness are mind-boggling.  The most obvious is immortality.  Organic systems are massively holistic (?or wholistic?) and thus age, wear-out, fall-apart and die, thereby extinguishing the intellectual advances of the lifetime of every individual.

In contrast, inorganic systems are modular and easily redesigned and reconfigured.  When any component wears out or fails, that component is removed and replaced with a brand new identical or better replacement.  Any number of identical copies of any genius/expert/specialist inorganic being can be created, complete with all memories, experiences, knowledge and expertise of the original.  Which also means, backups can be created and secured every day/week/month, so any inorganic individual is destroyed, it can be re-created without loss (except for the past day/week/month of content since the last backup).  I've barely scratched the surface of the advantages inorganic consciousness has over organic consciousness.

Thu, 11/24/2011 - 19:45 | 1911757 honestann
honestann's picture

From what you say, it sounds very much like you're a producer.  You convert broken parts into a working device.  Perhaps it goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway.  A great many people do exhibit characteristics of producer and parasite.  I don't think I'm "harsh" or "unreasonable" about classifying people as "parasites".  For example, when someone receives SS or other government benefits up to the level they were forced to pay in taxes, I do not consider that parasitic (or worry about it), even though this is arguable.  However, anyone who advocates these systems of forced participation is definitely an advocate for predators and parasites.

Please supply an example or two of "schizophrenic"?

Most of my life I've been a scientist, engineer, inventor and product developer... though honestly I am rather difficult to classify in any conventional way.  Mostly I conceive, invent, develop, build, program products (fully working prototypes) and sell or license them to companies who manufacture and market similar products.  But I have helped others establish small businesses to manufacture and market too, though that's not my personal interest.

Maybe I should explain something to help you and others understand why I sometimes write these long posts.  Given my background and modus-operandi, I'm sure I have a rather different perspective than most people on... well, just about everything.  What I want to say is this.  To become highly effective at many niches of science, engineering, technology, philosophy and more, I have found it incredibly helpful to clearly and accurately identify and understand fundamentals.  Humans can accomplish a lot by memorization or vague understanding without clearly recognizing the fundamentals involved in what they're doing.  But so many times I have invented new technologies or utterly new approaches that would have been impossible if I had not invested extraordinary (absurd) quantities of time and effort to identify and understand the fundamentals involved.  Yeah, it doesn't always work.  Sometimes I can't quite grasp the exact fundamentals, and sometimes understanding the fundamentals doesn't lead to breakthroughs or much of anything (though I still very much intellectually enjoy understanding the fundamentals).  But in so many cases I have found understanding the fundamentals of an issue lead either to extraordinary breakthroughs... or save me endless time and effort by immediately recognizing the core issue involved in what seem to be dozens, hundreds or thousands of seemingly separate issues (that other people try to work out separately because they don't see the fundamental that clearly explains them all).

This particular case (identifying the "predator, parasite, producer" locus) is a good example, because it makes sense of so much of human actions in the world today.  I didn't say so in my post, but what I explained is necessary to grasp to clearly understand another fundamental, namely "natural ethics".  Briefly, if you consider the locus I identified, you'll eventually realize that "ethics" comes from the producers need to explain their place in the world, a place that didn't exist before the "creation of goods that would not otherwise have existed" AKA "production".  They needed something to understand and explain the appropriate relationship between producers and the goods they produce (ownership).  Otherwise production would be pointless, because the time, effort, resources and risk required to act in productive ways would not be worth taking (because the human predators and parasites would just lie around waiting for the goods to be produced, then take them, leaving the producers to suffer and perish... and have no incentive to repeat their production actions).  This is what led me to understand the nature and purpose and justification of ethics, which I now state in the briefest form.

Ethics (and justice) is the state in which every individual enjoys/bares/suffers ALL the [positive/neutral/negative] consequences of his own actions, and enjoys/bares/suffers ZERO [positive/neutral/negative] consequences of actions taken by other humans.  This is "natural ethics" or "scientific ethics" if you will, because it simply identifies ethics as "causality as applied to human actions".   No gods required.  No authorities required.  No huge pile of complex rationalizations required.  Just clear, simple, accurate understanding of real, natural ethics... including "why it exists".  I explain this to attempt to explain why identifying fundamentals is important.  If the first fundamental was not understood (producers versus predators and parasites), then I would not have been aware of the context that led to identifying the fundamental nature of ethics and justice.  And note how identifying and understanding these two fundamentals helps me or anyone understand and interpret any and every type of human interaction.

Fortunately the phenomenon of identifying and understanding fundamentals tends to "snowball".  The more fundamentals we understand, the less time and effort is required to identify and understand other fundamentals.

Yeah, I know.  I'm wasting my time explaining this.  Those who understand this already understand, and those who don't understand this probably don't care.  And I freely admit, identifying and clearly enunciating fundamentals often takes an absurd quantity of time and effort.  Oh well.  So there you have it... for whatever benefit this might have for another honest, serious thinker out there.

To Scottj88:  I hope these two posts of mine in reponse to yours is of some value to you, and helps facilitate and speed your further intellectual development.

(FWIW, honestann, I wasn't trying to focus on you for any reason other than convenience...)

I'm generally with you, and I suspect our overall world-views are compatible.  I've given up on "justice" and "ethics" and "honor" and whatever else, not because I don't believe there's value in the concept, but because I believe the differences between different individuals make those words effectively undefinable.

To give a stupid-simple example, it's something like this--there are individuals who would say that the only "justice" for a person who commited some certain act/crime would be to kill them or lock them up forever.  I can't really buy into that anymore given the incredible discrepancy between what *I* would consider "just" vs. what that other person would consider just.

In other words, when you get into that abstract shit, it's a matter of opinion.

Now obviously most people have no tolerance for the notion that whatever they believe is "bad" is a matter of opinion.  It's difficult to accept the idea that what you believe MUST BE good or evil might just might be up for grabs.

So be it.

The real dilemma, ultimately, is that your conception of what is a value or virtue, MAY turn out to be based on a system of valuation that you don't prefer.  Had I been an owner of a greenhouse in the days of the tulip bubble, for example, I might have been an incredibly well-rewarded Dutchman, but if you'd asked me at the time what made me so damn special, I'd have had to admit it was just fucking LUCK.

It's a point that many people never grasp.  I suspect that there are a plenty of very well-paid bankers who'd be inclined to justify their status as "producer" based on their personal financial success--something like, "I made 3% gain on the money entrusted to me by those folks, and OBVIOUSLY that 3% gain makes me a PRODUCER, so I totallly DESERVE the $Xmillion I was paid last year."

But reallly...is that right?

(This is just musing, because I just ate dinner at someone else's home, and my contribution to the event was basically my presence.  But what the hell is that worth to anyone?  I'd have done some cooking and/or made some other contribution, but my job took up the kind of time I'd ordinarily devote to a Thanksgiving dinner.  I'm sure some of you get the idea.)

That movie was really about game theory and what the creators of "the bomb" were worried about. Most of the scientists on the Manhattan Project were reluctant to build the technolgy with the exception of Edward Teller.

Oppenheimer (father of the A-Bomb) refused to assist in the creation of the H-Bomb because he knew this type of situation would arise in the future. Could you imagine what would happen if Pakistan was taken over by radical Islamists and getting control of nuclear weapons? That shit is scary. Why do you think we provide so much aid to Pakistan?

It was these scientists that came up with the theory of MAD (mutually assured destruction) and modern game theory (John Von Neumann)

Good article by a guy I know from Middlebury about political game theory, though unless you are mathematically inclined will not understand it in it's totality (if at all)

OT, but Oppenheimer is one of history's more compelling characters.  He absolutely underestimated his own brilliance and the brilliance of those with whom he worked.  The sadness in his face when he spoke---in his famous interview---of the result of the Manhattan Project, has---in my opinion---been misinterpreted.  I could be wrong.  I believe his sadness stemmed not from the fact that he had done it (built the bomb), but that such a thing was possible.  He thought everybody would soon develop them.  Ironically, NOBODY else has independently developed that weapon.  Every single subsequent development has been the result of espionage, theft, or shared/sold technology.  If not for the critical mass achieved by putting the likes of Oppenheimer, Fermi, Teller, et al in the same arena, the weapon may not yet exist even today.

<<Ironically, NOBODY else has independently developed that weapon. Every single subsequent development has been the result of espionage, theft, or shared/sold technology.>>

Lise Meitner and her nephew Otto Frisch were the real spark.  The rest was just an engineering problem (not a trivial one though):

"In the meantime Lise spent the Christmas holiday period in western Sweden with friends and her nephew, the young, recently emigrated physicist Otto Frisch. The two, aunt and nephew pondered the meaning of the barium results and, during a walk in the forest, had a breakthrough in understanding. Frisch recalled later that, in classic fashion, Lise sat down by a tree and started doing rough calculations on a scrap of paper. They realized that the barium was appearing as a result of the uranium actually splitting into smaller nuclei after being struck by a neutron. And the amount of energy released was just what Einstein’s famous formula, E = mc2 predicted. Fission was discovered!"

"The war years were difficult for Meitner for many reasons. The news of horrendous destruction and turmoil was depressing. She helped friends fleeing Nazi persecution. She kept in touch with family and was able to communicate with some of her Berlin colleagues, but must have felt quite helpless in the sweep of events. Her nephew Frisch got a position in Birmingham, England and continued to experiment with fission. In collaboration with another German-Jewish émigré, Rudolph Peierls, he figured out how the fission of a rare isotope of uranium (U235) could be used to initiate a "chain reaction" and create a "super bomb" of enormous power. The secret Frisch-Peierls memorandum(5) became the impetus for the start of the Manhattan Project. Unbeknownst to Lise, her nephew, Peierls and other physicists working in Britain (including Klaus Fuchs) were sent off to Los Alamos, New Mexico to contribute to the making of the bomb. Had she been given the opportunity to participate in that war work, there is little doubt that Meitner would have declined, as her previous history suggests."

May I suggest you read about Evgeny Levtoshenko before you judge Putin (in this case, positively).  How can anyone seriously believe anything from this sociopathic ex-KGB agent?

Putin had Levtoshenko poisened with polonium, in case you don't recall.  Meanwhile, he has drastically curtailed free speech in Russia. There is also good reason to believe that he was responsible for the explosion of three inhabited apartment buildings in Moscow which was a ruse to blame the Chechens. At least consider these possibilities instead of just admiring his brass balls.

Anyone remember the story when Sen. Obama and that RINO shit Sen. Lugar (?) were detained in Russia.  They detained both of them and took Obama's possibly Indonesian passport.

Russia and Putin know everything about the Indonesian Muslim.   I wonder if the finger he got has more of a story behind it.

Gee, maybe a new war that involves nukes won't boost the economy this time.

Can't these guys come up with any new ideals on how to make a modern economy work without a huge military remora attached to it? If not, perhaps the model is deeply flawed.
