Santelli On The Encumbered Youth Of The US

Tyler Durden's picture

"Sometime the math just doesn't add up" is how CNBC's Rick Santelli begins what should become must-watch viewing for the youth of America as he tries to "Wake Up Young People" to the incredible realities of the level of debt encumbrance they are being born with. The lessons we are learning from our European brothers is that no-one is going to volunteer for austerity and fundamentally, to Rick, austerity is about 'past due bills'. From birth (where the average soon-to-be-taxpayer is already encumbered by $138k) to the future (looking for growth through capital attainment and job creation), Santelli starkly looks into camera, addressing the under-27-year-old demographic and tells them straight "you are paying for a meal that previous generations have eaten". The worrying point is that in order for the youth not to revolt against this 'unfairness' they need optimism and what appears to be occurring now is a fading of that generational optimism (except for CEOs whose last name begin with Z) as joblessness, and the costs of college and healthcare anchor our traditionally upwardly mobile bias.

So how do 'we' hook the younger generations in? Student loan forgiveness? But where's that money going to come from? ...and so the ponzi feeds on itself once again. The government is promising to take care of you when it has already shown that we couldn't take care of the generations of the past. Quite a dismal picture indeed.

I'm not very stuck in the current system.  I wasn't stupid enough to get anchored down to some delusional American princess that popped out a few bastards to keep me in servitude.  The feminist agenda has made western women a nightmare to deal with: and should you ever get "lucky" enough to "settle down" with one of them--you'll pay for it for the rest of your life.  I can jump ship on this shitty system whenever I feel like because I don't have any debts.  What about you broskies?

My condolences.

I am gladly "stuck" with an American princess, my 3 boys are not "bastards" and I am glad to serve my family.  So many today want to take one situation or occurrance and use that to paint the whole picture.  Not all cops are bad but some are.  Not all attorneys are jerks but most are.  We need to quit calling all Democrats socialist/commies and quit calling all Republicans nazis.  All Tea Party members are not right wing wack jobs.  We need to start dealing with eachother on an individual basis.

P.S.  It takes a real man to run a household.  It takes a real man to gain the trust and respect of a real woman.  Try being what you should be and maybe a woman won't be a problem but rather a wonderful friend and partner.  Otherwise until you get some real experience as a real man, stay out of the subject.....wussboy.

It also takes a major fucking puss to vote for the decay of society for family entitlements.  Your 'hard work' family honor systems have eroded this country from the core because losers like you only voted for maximum short-term benefits for your households--regardless of the long term consequences.

Fools like you ran out and got yourselves into mortgages on mcmansions just to please some sociological monster manifest that only wants, wants, wants.

Go play your white knight shit someplace else.  You're fucking whipped.

I like Santelli, but maybe if all those smart guys behind him were putting their effort at making something that creates real capital instead of being gamblers in funny coats maybe we would have more tangible growth.

Does anyone really wonder why our government does almost nothing to keep out the illegal aliens?  Keeping them out is depriving the government of tax revenues.  At least that appears to be the logic they're using.

OPEN THE BORDERS & FLOOD THE COUNTRY WITH FOLKS WHO DON'T SHARE THE SAME VALUES THAT MOST AMERICAN CITIZENS HAVE.

And we elected these dick heads!

I'm a tail Xer with no debt, savings, and a just about tolerable job.  But I have a feeling I'm going to get the fallout in some way.

I now organize my life so as to avoid as much fallout as I can.  It can't be done completely, but every little bit helps.

If the boomer geezers and the iCrap addicted millenials ever show up on my doorstep, what they'll find is a broom and a lawnmower.

I will fight and fight, and fight some more until I die.

"The American Myth about the Constitution, and what Darwinian Laissez`faire has Wrought Upon the Citizenry?"

#1/5 __ Legislative Branch

#2/5 __ Executive Branch

#3/5 __ Judicial Branch

Today's myth about Government is that the 4th Estate, and I'm not talking "Free Press [MSM?]" has been marginalized -  taking the Citizen out of the Constitution that once read "WE the People"!

#4/5 __ We the People

Rather, the myth, ahem,... excuse me for speaking loudly and realistically about the latent, undeniably tangible empirical evidence that our Constitution has been usurped by a non-elected, arcane unknown entity, called "The Federal Reserve Bank", better known in safe`quarters as the, 'Squid-Safe-Water-Depth-Harbor' as the 5th Imperial Estate, that is the overseer of our Mythical U.S.Constitution we have in America today, and perhaps til our demise?

#5/5 __ Imperial, *Federal Reserve Bank*

This travesty that has finally unwrapped the brittle, parched constitutional myth laid bare, now for all of us to see, if we have the courage to bare witness, and act upon,...  that the three horseman and the forsaken`d carriage driver, have been relegated to a feudalistic wayfaring station, subjugated by a greedy 'coup de`tete' of monetary anarchy!

So, in short,... Santelli is "Spot-On"!

thankyou Tyler
