Sarkozy Threatens With War If Euro Fails
At least the altitude, but certainly not attitude, challenged French president has finally jumped the shark when it comes to fire and brimstone pronouncements of mutual assured destruction:

Or... it would mean the end of the current generation of crony, corrupt, and criminally stupid leaders. Because last we checked, the Euro just celebrated its 10th birthday (with a vast majority wishing said anniversary had never occurred), and Europe was quite "war free" in the days before the globalist wet dream currency. But what do we know.

I disagree. Europe was origin of two world wars and countless wars in the past. Europe is on track for another rise of fascism with its citiizen highly dependant on central gov'ts to take care of the. Most of Europe are socialists states. With the break up of the EU, there will be a hard landing, resulting in misery for most Europeans. This will be the catalyst for the rise of strong willed leaders prompting strong national pride which is the road to fascism.
There was an EU before the euro, so I wouldn't bet the demise of the latter would necessary lead to a breakup of the former (although many bankers would like everyone to make that connection I am sure). As to the history of wars: Last I checked the US has had its more than fair share of wars (proxy and regular) during the past 50 years. What else would you expect? The military-industrial complex must be fed and kept occupied. With China rising and Iran claiming its role as a regional power I am not so sure the area to focus on is Europe as far as military tensions are concerned.
