According to Wikipedia:
Iraq = 24,219 deaths (117,961 injuries) among coalition forces, 29-37K Iraqi combatant and insurgent deaths, and 100-800K civilian deaths.
Afghanistan = 14,449 deaths and 40K+ injuries among coalition forces, combatants unknown, civilians 15K+.
US service member deaths: 2001<5; since=6,750
And, don't forget service member suicides which recently started exceeding deaths from combat -- about 10/wk and on the rise.

Yes, I was aware of Mena Arkansas ... I watched a few videos about the airport and Mena, and the couple of kids that were probably killed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, back then.
I was aware of the Gary Webb story, with the apparently absurd assertion that on December 10, 2004, he was found dead from TWO gunshot wounds to the head. Two or three years ago Zerohedge was the most original and innovative financial blog on the net. It still has flashes of its former glory, which is why it still has many silent readers.

Thus, most no longer bother, letting the uninformed or the whack-jobs live in the world of their own design.
A good deal of the other "proof" upon which the conspiracy types try to rest their case is simply a lie or patently absurd, such as "Norad stand down", "pull it", or perhaps the most idiotic, the BBC broadcast, which is foolish a hundred different ways (I know the broadcast; I refer to the "explanation").
There is an industry surrounding the event, and lots of folks get plenty of kudos and psychic reward playing to the audience. Some make a good living off of it, too, such as Alex Jones. Sadly, 911 is destined to pass into history chased by the same moonbats as JFK, the moon landings and other events upon which the addled class latches.

If you mean to say that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone and shot JFK, I could spend a long time disproving that one, but I would ask why almost all of the trained medical staff at Parkland Hospital considered the throat wound an entry wound and the head wound an exit wound. I would ask why Dan Rather lied about what the Zapruder film showed and then subsequently rose to fame and recognition in his field. I would ask why the HSCA found a different conclusion than the Warren Commission even though the HSCA was being ruthlessly undermined. I would ask why many eyewitnesses who claimed the shots came from the knoll were not even called to the WC, and why others claimed their testimonies were falsified. That is a very short list.
I would ask why one of the motorcycle cops who rode behind JFK, to his left (there were two there), reported that he had to pick a piece of the president's skull from his teeth after the incident. How does that happen with a shot from the SBD?

Back in the days of the late (of Zerohedge) Marla, she laid down a couple of rules that while not being exactly censorship, did set limits. I am way overstepping my bounds, but might it not be a good idea to set rules regarding racism, anti-Semitism, moonbatology, etc., advising aficianados of those things to instead visit the George Lincoln Rockwell Memorial sites or David Icke, where they can rant to their heart's content. In the meantime, Zerohedge takes back the mantel of being the undeniable thorn in the side the banker class, fighting real dragons rather than windmills. Right or wrong, Tyler's message is only as strong as it is credible, and right or wrong the credibility is affected by the overall nature of the site, which includes the free-wheeling comments section. Lack of censorship is fine, but an occasional comment from Tyler lambasting the moonbats or the racists would help his credibility as he attempts to bring into focus real issues and real problems. He does this when someone makes an economically silly argument, but refrains when the moonbats and racists fly. Commenting would not be censorship, but it would be a way in which the message he brings could be separated from the dross with which the idle-time posters pollute the site. What Tyler has done is both brilliant and important, but it is diminished by association. He becomes an easy target not because of what he is or what he says, but because in his silence his critics can portray him as condoning the foolishness and bigotry that pervades the comments section.

I wonder if you are one of those who swear "Luciferians", perhaps even ones who dropped in from outer space, are behind the banking elite, our elected officials, etc. Lots of 'Hedgers hold such beliefs, and others almost equally bizarre, and those views get sprinkled throughout the comments. In contrast, an article can appear about the next Middle East War (of which dozens have been predicted) or 911, and it draws tens of thousands of reads and hundreds of comments, a word cloud of which would be led by "Joos", "inside job", "Building7", and various permutations of individual poster's favorite bad guys, whether that be Mossad or a Rothschild. That becomes the face of Zerohedge, and that becomes the fulcrum by which anyone who might be a legitimate target of ZH can push the entire site into the trash heap of the whack jobs and loons, easily dismissed. If tossing meat to the rabid moonbats is a business decision, fine, but as noted previously, that crowd probably is not a demographic cherished by the commercial world.

That said, 11 years after 9/11, I still don't "get" Building 7 (WTC 7).
The "pancake" theory (or whatever it's called) for the two towers...OK, fine...
However, WTC 7 was a regular steel-framed/concrete building...and sure, I'm sure it took some damage when the towers went down...but I've never been able to accept the fact that it went down exactly (and I mean EXACTLY) like a controlled demolition seven hours (or whatever it was) later.
I'm not sure what I think this "means"...
I just know that I don't "get" it.

If you've ever built sturdy furniture or a strong house then you'd know a bit about bracing in design and construction, and what happens to structures that are not well-braced. Bracing is critical to structural stiffness and resistance to abnormal loading failures. I went through the eye of a large Cat-4 cyclone when young, so as an adult I specifically learned how to build things strongly. It's easy to do once you've learned the basics of how bracing works to increase strength.
Basically the aim is that you don't want the internal angles to change or distort, so you build-in a network of cross-bracing supports that prevent the internal angles flexing much, as flexing will eventually lead to fatigue and failure under high or repeated loading, oscillation and vibration. And perhaps the most self-bracing and resilient structure imaginable is a modern steel-framed box-work building (like WTC7).
You don't have to be a structural engineer at all to understand the concept, as you can do this yourself with drinking straws and some sticky tape. First, build a cube with the straws sticky tape. Then build another cube above the first, and then a third cube on top. Now tape the bottom of the resulting 'tower' securely to a table or bench. The structure will hold together ok but it will flex a lot, and seem flimsy.
Now build another 'tower' just like the first, and tape it also to the bench. But what you do with this second structure is you insert "cross-bracing" on all six sides of every cube. So tape a straw diagonally from one inner corner of a square side of the cube and then a second straw joining the other two corners. So you'll now have an 'X' shape in the middle of the square.
Now tape together the centre where this X crosses, so it acts as a singles structure.
That is a basic cross-braced wall panel, and it will greatly increase that single square's resistance to distortion when stress is applied to deform it. i.e. the 90 degree internal angles of the outer square will remain at or close to 90 degrees, and will be able to take a LOT more stress before it distorts or fails. Now put this X cross-bracing on all sides of all three cubes, in that second structure including the 'roof', the two floors, and the ground level as well. And make sure you have put tape around the centers of all the X's, so that they all act as a solid bonded unit.
When you're done test and compare how strong the resulting 'tower' structure is compared to your first unbraced 'tower' structure. You see an amazing difference in structural integrity due to the added cross-bracing. It will be have much greater resistance to deforming the inner 90 degree angle that forms the squares, that make up each stacked cube.
So now, you make a total of nine cross-braced triple-cubes towers just like that one.
And now you bond them all together, so that you get a box frame structure that is continuous;
3 cubes x 3 cubes x 3 cubes
So all are cross-braced and taped at every joint for every cube, so that all cubes becomes a cohesive self-bracing and self-supporting whole. A structure in which none of the internal 90 degree angles, are prone to flexure or permanent distortion of any kind. This is because the very process of binding more cubes together like that actually makes the adjacent cubes even stronger then before, and less likely to flex with extreme loads or impulse shock, let alone to fail from it.
Now get some scissors, and for the central 'tower' alone, entirely remove all the floor's connections, the roof's connections, and the wall bracing within the central 3-cube high 'tower'. Thus creating a square hole from the top to the bottom of the structure.
But leave all the rest of the structure's cross-bracing untouched.
Now, did doing that make the structure significantly weaker and more prone to failure, or for the remaining internal angles to change if you say, slap the structure? Or is it still tremendously strong, and remains very self-supporting? Are not the adjacent cubes which remain connected, still self-bracing and self-supporting of each other, and are these not still tending to maintain the inner-angles of each square in each cube at 90 degrees?
So, let's apply this to WTC7
If all the 'straws' are bonded structural steel, what then would you have to do, in order to cause a complete simultaneous structural collapse of all the braced-box frames present, given the removal of a large part of the inner structure's bonded steel walls, floors and roof still didn't change the internal angles of all the adjacent self-supporting and self-bracing steel box frames?
See the problem now?
You'd actually have to physically remove the bonding and bracing between the boxes, in order to get them to all collapse at the same time, at or near free-fall speed.
And this is in-fact what's implied via video showing the whole WTC7 building collapsing. It means every box suddenly lost its bonding between cubes, and its bracing suddenly just wasn't there any more, and so none of the cubes were able to maintain their 90 degree inner-angles of the squares.
So the video of all boxes losing their rigidity and all collapsing together, has to have been prepared well in advance of the events on 9-11 2001. Or else it would never have collapsed from a fire within one part of the structure.
So you don't have to be a structural engineer to instantly grasp what was required and what must have occurred in order to get the WTC7 to collapse like in the videos of it. This is why a steel-framed building has never failed due to major structural fire, as even if you heated up the steel, the residual bracing still remains so strong that the structure won't fail.
But WTC7 did fail.
So logically all of its bracing had to have been removed.
It definitely was not a fire that removed that bracing, everywhere, all at once.
So this was actually an inside job.
Which means 9-11 was an inside job.
The concurrent anthrax attack was also an inside job.
So someone used thermite and explosives to cut away the supporting connections and the self-bracing elements, and did it within a few seconds, otherwise WTC7 would never have been able to collapse like a house of cards, as shown in the videos of the 'collapse'.
WTC7 was indeed "pulled".
Or make a three-foot cube of concrete with some steel rebar in it (or even wood). Then make another. Pick one up and drop it onto the other. Observe the results, and compare them to WTC results.
