S&P 500 Futures At The Cliff's Edge

Tyler Durden's picture

Presented with little comment but as S&P 500 e-mini futures lose overnight lows, they are ponderously close to the post-Greek Election, post-Spain Bailout, Post-EU Summit ledge...

The little train that thought 'it could" felt good about itself but something called reality kept slapping it in the face and then horror - the train found out it wasn't special after all and it couldn't, just couldn't - unless the government 'leveled' the playing field at such a precarious angle that nothing would stay in place and all fell into the abyss.  Is it the journey we are to enjoy or the destination because this train is about to wreck.  Shut up and enjoy the ride.

Tyler must have accidentially used the "thin" red line.  It's not so bad when you use the alternate "thick" red line - considering you have to actually pass thru the red line for it count.

Up, down, up, down, up, down

Don't know how much current hanky panky is going on with gold, but anyone who thinks it won't happen if gold rallies big is fooling themselves. Real estate and mineral rights are the only places in America to hide, and while those aren't perfect, they will be difficult to take away without revolt. Private property rights are our last bastion of freedom now. Defend them or lose everything.

Dear Tyler,

Your website rocks - i read it every day and it has opened my eyes!

I can't thank you enough - to summarize in a few words " I was blind and now I see"

Before reading this website I was naive and easily persuaded into BTFD! Now I understand the game the dealers play such as Goldman Suchs, BOFA crap and JPM thiefs. Politicians are a worthless class who only want us to fail as citizens by continously misleading us!

I thank you once again for all the good you are doing! In my opinion this is just excellent work!!!!

All the best

We should take all financial news with a large grain of salt (anyone who has read the latest uber-bailout rumours out of Europe should know that). Anyone who bases their trading activity on blindly following the pronouncements of one site, or one trader deserves to lose their coat. Tyler does not make calls on Equities or Gold or Credit spreads.

He just presents the facts - we as readers invest in the end.

But i find something extremely honest about the way the information is presented. It is factual - not deceiving -we decide - Tyler just provides food for thought.

He is basically making us think!! - that is all.

Politicians and dealers DONT WANT US TO THINK!!! - They want MUPPETS!!! We have to stand up and say NO to that!!

Tyler's timing is wrong. Dollar is going up now so SP is will start  to go down. This week we are likely to break 1346. close below 1320 then 1315, 1308, 1300, 1280 and towards low 1200s into mid august-september. but respect the market if it goes and stays above 1380 then admit you are wrong and go long. its not about being bull or bear but being right and make money. it does not matter if u get rich with or without bernanke put and other market manipulation. prior to 2008 crisis there were many false rallies and if u were short not respecting these rallies they would have wiped you out and not let you short 2008 crash. so be patient and stay with the price. its not about being bull or bear but being right and have +ve pl.

actually if the break out is on bearish data it is even more bullish. if the market goes up against weak data it is a sign of bull mrkt. all data is past looking. you will only find out why the market is higher when sp is 1450 and the data is great but at that time the market will start going down and you will buy it wondering why it is going down when the data is great. market is 6-9 months forward looking.
