Support Slovakia's Decision To Just Say No To The EFSF

Tyler Durden's picture

Worried that Slovakia's Freedom and Solidarity party, which now holds Europe, and the endless bailout bonanza by the gonads, will sell out ahead of tomorrow's critical vote which may end the bailout blowout once and for all if Slovakia does not vote the EFSF through? Here is your chance to support SaS leader Richard Sulik - whose recent must read interview with Der Spiegel has gone viral - send him an email at the following address:

Becasue, at the end of the day, no matter what your Ivy (or wannabe Ivy) League professor tells you, more debt does not fight debt.

Mr. Sulik,

please vote yes if you understand how this EFSF will ultimately help resolve the issues presently facing the Euro and EU in general.

plese vote no if there is no clear path how incurring more debt and subverting free market pricing will allow for resolution rather than simply extension of the Euro zones issues.

More debt does fight debt, by making it totally unsustainable and crashing the system, which is what is needed at this point.

Not sure it matters what they do.  Either way, they will just by hanging about on the deck of the Titanic playing with the ice and snow from the iceburg they hit when they created perverse incentives for EU member states.

"Lenin is said to have declared that the best way to destroy the Capitalist System was to debauch the currency. By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose."

Perhaps we see the ultimate outcome if the behaviors and decisions of the global financial power elites continue.

Perhaps we have families we care about, and long for a future where our children can prosper, not scrape and survive.

I will do what it takes to make my common sense opinion known to ALL world leaders, not just our incompetent ones.

Derivation of the word 'cynic' is from Cynos, the loyal canine companion of Charon, the boatman who ferried lost souls across the river Styx into the flames of hades. As these idiots who had grievously offended the Gods stood on the riverbank waiting for Charon to come to take them to hades, quite naturally they were scared shitless - in other words they shit, they pissed, they vomited, and generally left quite a mess behind.

Cynos' job was to lick the riverbank clean for the next batch of new arrivals waiting for their final ride across the Styx. Good dog.

As for me, I am definitely a skeptic. All the way. But I'm happy to leave it to all you shit-eaters to be cynics.

Mr. Sulik,

Please do not vote the EFSF through. This has to be resolved now while the EU and World economy is still able to deal with it. The Euro has the chance to take over from the US dollar and usher in a more stable union defined by multiple countries and cultures – not just one. The US is what the EU will become if it votes the EFSF through. The US will in the end, through fraud and debt, take down the rest of the worlds economies with it. Without the EU, the world will be ushered into a dark period as the US collapses financially and with no EU to help (the EU will be as bad off as the US) there is no other entity financially large enough to offset it and stabilize world financial markets. Without stability there will be conflict and war. Letting the EU resolve its financial house of cards now may result in a contagion that takes out a number of banks (European or American) but that needs to occur and after the EU will be much more capable of recovery and growth (not throwing good money after bad). Look at Iceland.

Thank you for being a sane voice in an ocean of corruption and denial.

All the best.

Please do not support EFSF. This endless cycle of issuing more debt at the expense of the helpless taxpayer needs to stop and is getting Europe (more importantly the Global Financial System) absolutely no where. Take this stand for the people, the short term pain will not out weigh the future benefits of building a stronger and more European Financial system.

Great interview.  Thanks for the link ZH.  Sulik seems to understand the fundamental idea, that you can't solve a debt/overspending problem by taking on more debt.  I wish him luck on resisting the insane politicians in other countries like Greece.   If they vote it down I'll feel like I did when TARP was initially voted down in our house.  Jubilation, until they figure out a way to weasel it through anyway.

Some great quotes in this video and it's parallel with today. - Riots of 1968

2:59 - "The powerful in our country had ceased to be responsible, so the powerless were trying to take responsibility..."

5:58 - "I was told by the military management of the war that with another 150,000 or 200,000 or perhaps 300,000 we could now finish the job - well that's what they've been telling us for 5 years.."

None of the other countries in the EU will stand up to Germany and to a lesser degree France. Don't even bother hoping that any of the other EU countries will say no to the big boys. You'll only be disappointed.

Hopefully this is a backdoor way of fucking over Germany via the euro implosion.  Most of europe wants some payback.......memeories are still fresh over there. The only people euros hate more than Americans are Germans.

Oh dear, I hope you all are remembering to use appropriate language because if you think about it for a minute and recall that it is very illegal for US citizens to act as self-appointed diplomats and following the WikiLeaks debacle I suspect they are watching far more closely these days.  Expressing an opinion on an open forum that might or might not be read by foreign officials is one thing, but to personally contact a foreign official and attempt to influence a position that would be the proper domain of the government, that is any contact that would tend to complicate State Department business, that could get you into some big trouble, especially if you annoy the target and they complain to our ambassador.

If you think it is not serious business think about Oliver North, Major General Singlaub, and the antics of Jane Fonda in Hanoi.  Americans who decide to take on diplomacy or even acts that could land us in a war are not take lightly.  If I want to make my position known regarding the internal affairs of other nations I will convey it through appropriate channels.  So for god's sake if you send an e-mail please keep it simple.  Also, try to remember that when we travel to such places we are already half suspected of working for our government, thanks to the exposure of Val Plame by the Neocons nobody outside the USA knows who they can trust, if you think spamming the guy's inbox with mail begging him to hold the line against the ESFS is going to work at all, even if he does get them and they are not filtered out, I suggest you think again.

Indeed, keep it short and simple without going off on tangents about other issues/governments.  Fiscal responsibility is a global responsibility to which all nations must adhere.  I have no problem expressing my support to a foreign official about the subject.

About "when is the vote". The preliminary debate (yah, another one) will start 11:00 GMT. The vote is not expected before "evening hours" and "might be delayed to wednesday". Dont hold your breath, but watch out. EUR/USD will be quite interesting afterwards.

"Dear Richard Sulik,

Thank you for being a man and a patriot of your country. I today wrote that maybe you can save my home country's public finances, as our own politicians are not up to the task. Please help our country by trying your utmost to convince the parliament to vote no. For your sake, for our sake, for the whole Europe's sake.

Sincerely Yours,

BRK: PM Radicova will combine the EFSF vote with a vote for confidence.

Net result: either YES directly or the gov't goes waffles and afterwards the renewed parliament could vote (esp. w/ now oppositional Smers) a YES.

Slovakia did not pass the EFSF as of yet ! Sulik and his party will NOT vote for it

NEWS UPDATE follow minute by minute at

(use google translate)

LAST UPDATE !!! : Suliks Party SaS (Freedom and "no solidarity for fat greeks") DID NOT attend the VOTE and also the party Obycajny ludia (Simple people) DID NOT attend the VOTE

which means the Soros WHORE OF THE MONTH Prime Minister Iveta Radicova (worked before for Soros Open Society) will have to resign and new government will have to be formed with the red opposition party (the biggest thiefs in Slovak history together with basically all parties) SMER will have the majority since their popularity is around 40%

Suliks party is around 10-15% maybe more once the new elections start

SMER will probably have enough votes to pass the EFSF but either they do it in new government (which would take many months to form) or if they do it now with the current oposition, their chances for the upcoming elections would probably drop significantly since MOST SLOVAKS OPOSE EFSF

hey, the more debt they pile up against debt, the faster the Great Reset commences. if they now start thinking and stop making mistakes, we're gonna stuck in limbo for decades, with kleptocrats and banksters still in power and us with already unbearable debt, paying for their mistakes. let them loose control of the matters, loose control of gold. they must finish what they started. they must be allowed to wipe themselves out.

Slovak Euro Fund Vote Hits Snag, Seen Done This Week

A Slovak ruling party said it would abstain on Tuesday from a vote on expanding the euro zone's EFSF rescue fund, forcing the government to turn to opposition parties to push through a deal agreed by the currency bloc to contain the Greek debt crisis.

Even as Slovakia wrangles over giving a green light to the July agreement, euro zone leaders are scrambling to give the 440 billion euro safety net greater clout to staunch contagion that has begun to seep into the rest of the currency area.

Slovak Prime Minister Iveta Radicova put her government on the line by tying a vote on the size and powers of the European Financial Stability Facility to a confidence motion on her cabinet in a session that was underway in the afternoon.

Even if Radicova loses the vote, as looked likely, she and two of her ruling coalition partners say they will be able to produce a majority for ratification of the EFSF deal by obtaining the support of the largest opposition party.

You know we all think the trillions (at least three more) in bailouts are wrong and should not be done, but it will be done as I said in an earlier post.  If necessary Germany and France will put a gun to the head of the whole Slovak government and demand it, but it will be done.  This is not even about the money for Franco-German banks (Rothchildes) but about the power to be had.  One way or another the bankers will get their way, they always do, fighting it will at this point not only prove futile and tiresome but maybe even dangerous.  Until people like you and me quit the keyboards and hit the streets they will get their way.
