Top Mitt Romney Donors: Update

Tyler Durden's picture

As Mitt Romney speaks on TV, we thought it may be prudent to present an update of the key donors to the Romney presidential campaign.

Then again, here is Obama:

So on one hand Wall Street, and on the other Law Firms, the Government, and Academia - the four sides of the Status Quo square.

America: the best place to legally purchase a president.

Has Buffett double crossed the preacher?

Romneys list are contributors who can not stand the light of day or the truth it might reveal.  Obama's contributors think the lights can actually be turn on.

Fictions are necessary to the people, and the Truth becomes deadly to those who are not strong enough to contemplate it in all its brilliance.

In fact, what can there be in common between the vile multitude and sublime wisdom?

The truth must be kept secret, and the masses need a teaching proportioned to their imperfect reason.

Also, there is little information here from the faction who has (makes) all the GUNS (MIC)...When push comes to shove, which faction has the greatest "fire power"?

Is that total contributions across all presidential campaigns? That would explain Obama's extraordinarily high numbers (one successful run, one as the only choice for Democrat). Notice University of California donations? $1.6 million in azeconomics chart, $264,000 in ZH. Seems a large California institution may have had a lot more money in 2007/8 than in 2011/12. Go figure.

I donated. Worst mistake of my life. Never, ever again.

The thing that strikes you is what *cheap* whores they are. In a moment of weakness during the 2008 presidential race, I gave a little $50 donation. The next day, I got a call from the state's organizer, asking if I would be a state delegate to the Repub convention. I briefly relished the HST-like scene I would create before turning him down.

Then he offered me a local organizer job, managing 8 - 10 volunteers.

Apparently, they whore your email to everyone's lists. Fortunately, I gave them a throwaway mail that I use only for online stuff. Still to this day, it get emails from various nutbag groups.

I'm actually surprised by how little banks contribute.  You'd think to own a puppet string that controls the US President that it would cost more than a few hundred thousand.  Hell banks get fined for tens of millions all the time, you'd think POTUS power would be at least as expensive as that.

YOU bet, the tax code IS the problem, always has been.

The tax code is where church and state first mixed interests with the marriage deduction.  The tax code has married big business interests with elections under the guise of "non profit".  The tax code is the source of much trouble in the USA.

GET RID OF THE TAX CODE.  Flat tax, no deductions, no exemptions (including churches) and the light will begin to fill the room.

Buffet''s Wells Fargo bank donated to Romney? I thought that Buffet was a dyed-in-the-wool Obamaniac

You usually see this stuff easily, this list is VERY short, and the same folks contribute to BOTH sides, they have to to cover their bases,in case their first choice doesn't get through on top.

notice how the US markets start tanking further to help Romney make his point that the economy is in terrible shape.  Markets were stuck below -2.2 before he spoke and were recovering a bit.

Obviously Wallstreet wants Romney in bad so they've told the PPT to go take a long lunch, all of them, and let the markets fall finally.

this is going to be fun: Wall Street vs. Bernanke's PPT Team

and the winner is: Wall Street!  Watch the markets will crash is my guess.

I think Donald looks much better as a brunette and Romney looks great with his blonde combover!

I know I've been harping on it, but the politics here are quite easy.  Given Romney's past, present demeanor, and numbers like these it's easy to equate him with the 1%, and on the side of big banks and Wall Street, which are extremely unpopular to the general public due to their perceived favored irreversibly corrupt in bed with Washington status.

All Obama has to do is wait for the financial crash, blame it on the greedy banks, which he then equates with Romney, and he gets elected in a landslide on an OWS type populist movement.  Don't get me wrong, I don't give a pinch of owl dung for either one, but the path to the presidency is much clearer to Obama, and it means castigating the bankers, and investment plans should be prepared.

All he has to do is repeat FDRs re-election speeches against the greed of the 1%, changing the terms here and there to update for the digital generation.  Why do you think so many republican strategists did not want Romney?  It's because it's too easy to equate him with the very unpopular idea of the 1%, while it's pretty much impossible to pigeonhole Obama with that type of background.

It's happened before:  http://teachingamericanhistory.org/library/index.asp?documentprint=2563

So you are saying that Obama should push forward the financial armageddon and then blame Romney for it?

I don't know. Obama now has the reputation as a liar and a fraud. Almost no one believes him or trusts him. The only people voting for him are the ones who benefit from programs that are attached to him. This should be government workers and those on welfare.

Hypothetically speaking. If I were a mere mortal who believed that there's a system in place that truly delivers equal opportunities, equal benefits and equal quality of life to all Americans .. just hypothetically speaking, if I were such a guy that the media portrays as "ordinary" American citizens who believe in this whole notion of freedom bullshit...

Then I would have to vote for Obama just based on his list of donors.

I hate the banks with a passion and I think Bill Gates has done allot more for America than any pigshit banker ever will.

The big surprise is when the Communion Ticket is announced. OBAMA AND MITTENS TO THE RESCUE !!!!!! THE PRESIDENTIAL COMMUNION DOUBLE TAG TEAM TICKET !!!!!!

They are gonna eliminate the political party system, WHICH IS MESSY, TIME CONSUMING, AND JUST TOO FUCKING DEMOCRATIC. So, they will autocratically become Presidents For Life.

Like the old Porsche Boxster commercial, Obama gets to be the Prez on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Mittens gets to be the Prez on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Sunday will be a day of rest, public executions on Fox TV for all of the militants rounded up in the USA during the preceding week, and the distribution of the green communion wafers they are turned into after the TV executions.

Served up in the United States Church Of What's Best For The American People. Mandatory attendence required of each citizen, under pain of torture and death. "It's the right thing to do "
