How come the US Government isn't contributing to Romney?

First thing that caught my eye as well. I wasn't aware the Department of State and US Government in general could contribute to a campaign. Not that rules or laws matter anymore, I just wasn't aware of this.
when you contribute, you have to tell them where you work; so they can come and get you if your guy looses.

Notice University of California donations? $1.6 million in azeconomics chart, $264,000 in ZH. Seems a large California institution may have had a lot more money in 2007/8 than in 2011/12. Go figure.

The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organizations' PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates.

I know I've been harping on it, but the politics here are quite easy. Given Romney's past, present demeanor, and numbers like these it's easy to equate him with the 1%, and on the side of big banks and Wall Street, which are extremely unpopular to the general public due to their perceived favored irreversibly corrupt in bed with Washington status.
All Obama has to do is wait for the financial crash, blame it on the greedy banks, which he then equates with Romney, and he gets elected in a landslide on an OWS type populist movement. Don't get me wrong, I don't give a pinch of owl dung for either one, but the path to the presidency is much clearer to Obama, and it means castigating the bankers, and investment plans should be prepared.
