Tungsten-Filled 1 Kilo Gold Bar Found In The UK
The last time a story of Tungsten-filled gold appeared on the scene was just two years ago, and involved a 500 gram bar of gold full of tungsten, at the W.C. Heraeus foundry, the world's largest metal refiner and fabricator. It also became known that said "gold" bar originated from an unnamed bank. It is now time to rekindle the Tungsten Spirits with a report from ABC Bullion of Australia, which provides photographic evidence of a new gold bar that has been drilled out and filled with tungsten rods, this time not in Germany but in an unnamed city in the UK, where it was intercepted by a scrap metals dealer, and was supplied with its original certificate. The reason the bar attracted attention is that it was 2 grams underweight. Upon cropping it was uncovered that about 30-40% of the bar weight was tungsten. So two documented incidents in two years: isolated? Or indication of the same phenomonenon of precious metal debasement that marked the declining phase of the Roman empire. Only then it was relatively public for anyone who cared to find out on their own. Now, with the bulk of popular physical gold held in top secret, private warehouses around the world, where it allegedly backs the balance sheets of the world's central banks, yet nobody can confirm its existence, nor audit the actual gold content, it is understandable why increasingly more are wondering: just how much gold is there? And alongside that - while gold, (or is it GLD?), can be rehypothecated, can one do the same with tungsten?

Attached are photographs of a legitimate Metalor 1000gm Au bar that has been drilled out and filled with Tungsten (W).
This bar was purchased by staff of a scrap dealer in xxxxx, UK yesterday. The bar appeared to be perfect other than the fact that it was 2gms underweight. It was checked by hand-held xrf and showed 99.98% Au. Being Tungsten, it would not be ferro-magnetic. The bar was supplied with the original certificate.
The owner of the business that purchased the bar only became suspicious when he realized the weight discrepancy and had the bar cropped. He estimates between 30-40% of the weight of the bar to be Tungsten.
This is very worrying and reinforces the lengths that people are willing to go to profit from the current high metal prices. Please be careful.

For example, the debasement of the coinage was already accelerating in the early part of the third century A.D., before plunging in the latter part. Indeed, the chart below (apologies for the quality) only shows the trend up to 253 AD. By around 290 AD, the coins were only dipped in silver to give them a coating (<0.5%):

Ask yourself, would a 5'8" overweight man physically assault a 6'2" football player? How do you explain the bloody beaten Zimmerman?

Zimmerman had multiple 911 calls. The one I feel that will convict him is he's on the phone telling the dispatcher that he's following Trayvon. The dispatcher clearly tells him not to.
This is indicating that Zimmerman is the aggressor, he followed Trayvon with the intent of confrontation.
Whatever Trayvon did from that point forward should be construed as self-defense. If ANYONE starts following you while you haven't committed any crime, even a cop, and they corner you, the stand your ground law would be your legal defense (except if the cop identifies himself as such). In this case Zimmerman cannot claim he was 'standing his ground in self defense' as he clearly was pursuing Trayvon.
Looking at Trayvon's character in this situation is irrelevant. He could have been a convicted drug dealer, it wouldn't have made a difference. The facts are he was unarmed, not threatening or assaulting anyone, until Zimmerman, who was pursuing him comes into the picture. At that point Trayvon had every right to defend himself, which is where the other facts of Zimmerman bleeding, yelling for help or whatever else comes into the picture.

He followed a suspicious person in a neighborhood that has been experiencing a lot of crime lately.

I don't know what really happened any more than you do, but I think it is just as plausible that Zimmerman attacked the kid thinking the kid was "getting away"(per the 911 tapes) and the kid fought back. When the kid got the best of Zimmerman, Zimmerman shot him? If I had to guess I would have to lean in favor of this scenario simply because Zimmerman is 5'2" 240 lbs, Trayvon was 6'2" 140-160lbs, Zimmerman had at least 80lbs on the kid, beside that he had a gun. Most importantly, Zimmerman did not avoid confrontation with the kid, he pursued confrontation, per the 911 tapes. I don't think Zimmerman would have pursued the kid if he didn't think he could take him in a confrontation, his size compared to the kids and the gun in his pocket probably made him feel he could win in a confrontation. In my book, that would make Zimmerman the aggressor.

Being six times as likely to be convicted of a violent crime doesn't mean much on an individual basis when the total violent crime rate is low. If one out of a thousand whites commits a violent crime in their life, then 6 out of 1000 blacks will, scaling with this statistic (I don't have the actual stats, I am just going off of your post to make a logical point). This means that you are discounting 994 people because of the actions of six while at the same time giving free reign to the 1 out of a thousand whites who is a violent criminal.

This link disagrees with those alleged witnesses. But if those witnesses are accurate then yes Zimmerman should go to prison for a long time.
In the meantime, I still question the media's portrayal of events.
Just because Martin temporarily got the upper hand in the fight against his murderer does not contradict the witnesses who say Martin was calling for help. In fact, it supports the idea that Martin was innocent. He did not stealthily attack Zimmerman and try to get away with it. He confronted the man who was stalking him and even as he fought with the aggressor he tried to bring attention to his predicament by calling for help.
If Martin was a criminal who wanted to assault Zimmerman he would not have been simultaneously trying to gain the attention of the people in their homes.

Back on topic, as far as the gold bar issue, someone mentioned that Europe now has a lot of cheap tungsten because of the incandescent bulb ban.
