How about as a start, we get all those US citizens living in the US who maintain dual citizenships (Italian, Greek, Irish, German, etc.) to first contribute x% to help bailout their countrymen, depending on how much their former countries need (or give up their other other citizenship)?

That way their allegiances and pocketbooks are divided according to their citizenship status and the financial needs of the country(ies) they are citizen(s) of?

Why am I so frustrated with this attitude? Is it because a minority of the population controls a majority of the government? Sure the government says we are doing this for the good of America but that basis for action is just baloney. The government is doing it to save the investments of the wealthy. Our government is now pledging our resources to backstop Europe when Germany refuses to do the same. Please make the case for this action President Obama. Please show me the facts and then argue for the cause. I am not willing to accept Geithner or Bernanke's opinion on this issue. I want simple facts laying out the basis for this action. Can't do it? Then don't pledge my resources and future tax payments.

You know sheep doggie I used to not like your posts at all, but I am starting to think you are not all that bad.  I don't remember what we disagreed about that made me think we were not at all on the same page but it seems to have faded.

Here is the thing, if it is not yet illegal I offer to adopt you or anyone that wants an Irish "father."  You have to pay for the paperwork and do the minimal leg work, but Ireland contrary to popular belief is not at all bankrupt, it was debt free till Germany and the ECB put a gun to Ahern's head and demanded it take an unwanted bailout in order to "repay" continental banksters for private housing related debts.  The people originally voted not to join the EMU but were told they would have to vote till they got it right and anyway Daddy Adolph would guarantee all was well, and later voted not to ratify the Treaty of Lisbon, but they were made promises that if they would revote and approve the treaty nothing bad would happen to them, guess how the next vote is going to go.

And in the world to come it has just about all the necessary requirements.  g

*It is temperate, no arctic freezing or equitorial roasting

*It is mostly rural outside of Dublin, live in the country or pick any size town you like

*It has always been an agricultural nation

*It is neutral

*It has no known massive deposits of carbon based fuels to attract assholes

*It has nothing either material or STRATEGIC to invite any kind of exploitation or invasion

*Bertie Ahern might have been a tool of international banksters but the Irish people are fucking awesome, religion is there but they take it with a grain of salt

*The beer and poteen are even more awesome

*Irish passports are among the three or four you can take without affecting US citizenship

*Passport costs $168, you ever heard of cheaper insurance than that?

*Easily the most peaceful, least corrupt of places

*They like your accent

*Ireland will likely be the first to dump the EMU banksters and go it alone

*You can live and work in any EU nation without a visa

*Offer does not apply to fascist shitheads at any price, nor to anyone that believes it is immoral for a grown man to adopt another grown man, or who lives in a state where they have outlawed such adoptions because that was how gay people got around the anti-gay marriage laws.

If on the other hand you can see the advantages of an Irish passport and you are not a totally objectionable person then I am yur DADDY!  No charge from me by the way.

What's the plan Obama? Do you have a plan? Even France and Germany can't agree on a plan. Now they're talking Plan B. Whatever that may be?

Whatever the solution will be, one thing is 100% certain. The global economy will go into recession next year because no amount of money to bailout banks is going to increase global demand for commodities and products of any kind.

To the contrary, when these bailouts are being negotiated the recipients will have to show spending restraints (deflationary), austerity measures (deflationary) and agree to service the debt from already decreasing tax revenues. Got it?

They can print all they want, it won't solve the problems of a receding global economy. The show is over, folks. Extend and pretend has come to an end because people are waking up and figuring this out. The banks are broke, the countries are going for broke and the wealthy are asked to make concessions. Whey they do, they will ask for assets in return which will be deflationary as the countries no longer control those assets or show those assets on their balance sheets.

So, Obama? What is your effen grand plan? Already forgetting that the US debt ceiling has been breached? The US Super Committee was unable to agree on budget cuts?

There is NO money. Get it?

Exposure to Europe brought down MFG (and Jeffries soon), so, naturally, Obummer thinks it's a great idea to expose the Fed's already not so great balance sheet to the same risk. OK, thanks, what could possibly go wrong? I fail to see any logic in this, but hey, I'm not a 'constitutional expert', nor am I a community organizer, so what do I know?

TIME TO SPELL THE BEANS FOLKS TO ALL OF YOU:-

US NEEDS MORE HELP THAN EUROPE - THE TACTIC FROM WALL STREET AND TOP OFFICIALS IN WASHINGTON (STARTED AFTER THE US GOT DOWNGRADED IN AUGUST THIS YEAR) HAS BEEN TO ATTACK EUROPE (THEY NEED A CASE AND EUROPE WAS AN EASY TARGET) THEY CONCLUDED THAT EUROPE'S DEBT CRISIS CAN NOT BE SOLVED BY ITS MEMBERS AND THAT THE US WILL HAVE TO COME AND RESCUE THEM -EITHER DIRECTLY OR THROUGH THE IMF -  THEREFORE FOLKS BLAME IT ON EUROPE IF FED IS PRINTING MORE MONEY - REMEMBER IT IS A SENSITIVE ISSUE AND US DO NOT WANT TO UPSET THE TAX PAYER ONCE AGAIN. HOWEVER THE PRINTING IT IS NOT FOR HELPING EUROPE BUT RATHER TO ASSIST AND TRYING RESCUE THE US BANKS AND THE DISASTROUS US HOUSING MARKET..THESE ARE THE KIND OF TALKS YOU HEAR BEHING LARGE BOARDROOMS IN TOP 6 US BANKS, TREASURY AND THE CENTRAL US BANK..BUT OF COURSE THEY DO NOT TELL YOU SO. SO THIS TACTIC WILL PAY-OFF AND QE3 WILL HAPPEN IN 2012 (WONT REVEAL THE QUARTER THOUGH) - THE FED PLANS TO DASH OUT AROUND 500-750 BILLION DOLLARS....ALSO REMEMBER THE FED HAS CONCLUDED THAT THE ONLY WAY TO SOLVE THE US DEBT CRISIS IS TO CONTINUE HAVING A CHEAP DOLLAR FOR THE NEXT 2-3 YEARS - GOOD LUCK GUYS
