Watch The Ron Paul "Plan To Restore America" Press Conference Live

Tyler Durden's picture

And from denial, or the comic and alcoholic, we shift to far more important things, such as acceptance, and actually dealing. Earlier we discussed the broad strokes about the imminent announcement by Ron Paul of his Plan to Restore America. Next, watch live as the Texan reveals the details of the only plan that has any sense of making even remote sense from a mathematical standpoint: start time 6pm EDT / 3pm PDT.

The Military Industrial Complex is The Fed, in the sense that you can't have one without the other.

Just because you oppose some of his line items doesn't mean he's not the right guy for the presidency.  I don't agree with selling public property, either.  And NO WAY should capital gains taxes or inheritance taxes be eliminated--capital gains should be treated as ordinary income, taxed at the same rate as wages, dividends, inheritances.  If it's NEW TO YOU, it should be taxed at the same rate as wages.

If we get rid of the federal income tax--then the problem is solved--no capital gains tax, or payroll tax, or inheritance tax.  Tax them all as equals, or don't tax any.

Ron's not perfect, but he's the only qualified candidate in the race!

Here's my call: either Obama or Romney wins.  Can't tell the two Wall Street tools apart.  Either one further transfers wealth and income from the middle class to the upper class.  Income taxes go up, we fight more wars, King Saud dies, Arabia falls to Islamists, oil goes to $300/bbl., Russia, China trade oil for goods, abandon dollar, US wages fall even not counting inflation, dollar tanks, runaway inflation eats savings and wages, equities soar, gold confiscated again, rich slightly less rich but inequality continues to skyrocket as they are supported by govt policies that loot middle and working class.  Featherbedded welfare goes away, tens of millions more Americans on new spartan substenance welfare.

The end of the American era is imminent.  Could be a civil war as people revolt againt paying federal taxes.

Or, Ron Paul will win, sound economics will pull us out of recession, create jobs, restore America's greatness.

Paul too naive to be President. He is the spiritual son of Nevile Chamberlain who said Hilter's Germany wad no threat -- saying Iran is no threat despite evidence and recent events of last week.

He also believes USA responsible for 9/11. His hatred of America runs deep.

So you think Hitler was going to invade the US?

The CIA's own 9-11 report says 9-11 was blowback from US intervention in the middle east.  I guess the CIA hates America too.

Nevile Chamberlain was right.  The third reich would have collapsed in on itself before they could conquer Russia, much less the US.  Even if he magically succeeded in conquering all of the Old World, his industrial base would NEVER have been able to match ours, as we were still reletively free market at the time.  Of course, if FDR had continued to muck about in the economy, he might have had a chance, IF their economy didn't collapse on its ass first, like so many Alexanders and Khans.

Ron Paul loves America.

The US' intervention in the middle east did provoke 9/11.  If we weren't a tool of Israel and Saudia Arabia wasn't a tool of the US, 9/11 would not have happened.  There wouldn't be any terrorism aimed at the US from the outside if not for military and political adventurism overseas.

This supposed Iranian plot is the biggest bunch of horseshit we've heard all month.  The US is actively out there assassinating people right now.  To get all huffy because the Iranian military schemed to pull a "Barack" (without approval of their president or Ayatollah) is silly.  We need to quit harassing Iran, and quit harassing everybody else, too.  The best way to undermine jihadists is to sell them pornography and luxury goods.  Trade==good, war==fucking dumb.

THE UNITED STATES is a corporation folks. It usurped the republic way back when Lincoln was president. Ron Paul knows this, and he still wants to be the CEO.

Ron Paul can not change this "country"

It would be like getting Ron Paul to get elected president of MS-13, and then having him turn the homies around and get them to change their focus to helping the elderly.

Just like MS-13 has NOTHING to do with being a force for good, THE UNITED STATES has nothing to do with protecting your liberties.

Thinking that Ron Paul is the answer, is an admission that you have no idea what is really going on.

If a president RonPaul cannot change anything, then the population then knows beyond even the faintest shadow of a doubt that predators have completely taken over everything.  And THAT is a most important bit of information for the majority to know (or even a substantial minority).  That could in fact be the straw that breaks the predators back.  So bring it on.

Mon, 10/17/2011 - 22:12 | 1783855 Old Poor Richard
Old Poor Richard's picture

If President Paul is unable to turn the tide on the transfer of wealth and income from middle America to the oligarchy, it will indeed be a tipping point.  If the president tries to eliminate runaway spending and cut taxes, and the establishment stops him, the people would indeed decide that it was the last chance and last straw.  Americans would revolt against federal taxes and federal laws.  Not secession, per se, but Greek style refusal to voluntarily participate any longer in a tax "system" that is killing us like a tapeworm in order to feed the financial/medical/military-industrial-congressional complexes.

I love this guy, I do

and I hope by some miracle of divine intervention he does win the primary and comes out of it with his health intact (you know what I mean)

because while there is nothing he can do to stop the collapse of the fiat empire and the pain it will bring

it would be nice to have one such as him at the helm to steer the ship through the darkest night

and helping to lay the foundation of what comes after...

"Health intact". That's a tall order considering that he has, in one speech, managed to piss off all the military expansionists (Not the military itself), the Zionists (No more foreign aid to the largest recipient, Israel), half a dozen government agencies whose existence is now threatened (ATF, Homeland Sec, TSA, DEA..), the tbtf banks, the Fed, the politicians who might have to take a pay cut to the level of the president, the treasury (audit).... am I missing anyone else? Possibly the CIA and NSA who are ripe for cuts on their operations and drone attacks on brown babies.

I like him too. They have ignored him, but if he does win the primaries, I don't fancy his chances of survival.

I loved his legislation that he introduced in July to repeal the Gun-Free School Zone act. I'm sure the schools will feel safer. But then, they should allow kids to pack heat to protect them against the heat-packing hoodlums.

Right. Problem kids and homicidal nut cases would never carry a gun into a "Gun-Free School Zone". That would mean breaking the law, and they would never do that. I heard gun crime and school masacres plummet when they institute those laws. The evidence is underwelming.

clever advertising, using a backing line up of "hawt gurls" - it helps draw in the voters easily MANipulated by their lower brain, while simultaneously distracting from the "abortion" issue - seems to have worked, lots of salivating here, and all the way to the end of the thread, zero mention of Paul's stance on "abortion" -  "the gurls love Dr. Paul, so whatever he decides must be all good!!" - very, very smart.

I am still surprised at how easily people here will fall in line to choose a side and hope for change (again) - I highly doubt there will even be a "vote" by next year, but hey, enjoy your cheerleading, and your cheerleaders. . .

Limbaugh is proud to say he isn’t endorsing any candidate…but if Ron Paul’s name slips through the “EIB Network,” he makes it clear that Paul’s the one candidate that’s beneath contempt… deserving ridicule.

He mentioned the Paul Plan just to say it was a plan that, he, Limbaugh, had suggested earlier.  It wouldn’t have a chance, Limbaugh lamented, because it’s being proposed by a nobody like Paul.

Pew Research now says Ron Paul has received the least overall coverage of any candidate. From May 2 to October 9, Paul appeared as “the primary news maker in only 2% of all election stories.”

And one wonders why true conservatives distrust the media. And one wonders who owns the media, AND WHO OWNS the $53-MILLION-A-YEAR LIMBAUGH.

He has to watch the arm waving.  About 5 mintues in, he was trying to pantomime the universal gesture for "and so on and so forth" but his hands kept moving for like 15 seconds and it looked like he should've had that 2nd scotch before he went on stage ~ lol.

I really like what he says, but too many people drink their opinions from the alphabet soup stations and since they (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, CNN) overtly mock everything about him and his stances, he will never win.

There are too many idiots stuck on the government's hind teat for anyone that isn't "tapped" by TPTB to win.

I agree, he loses the primary and then splits the ticket libertarian.

Ron Paul wants to cut foreign aid, this means no more billions to Israel, and he plans to reduce militarism which again means less troops in the Mideast to defend Israeli interests; this is why he will never be nominated, elected or be given a fair chance in the media. He is dangerous for Israel, but he is good for America, unfortunately for those pulling the strings, this is not good enough.

Ron Paul is the most appropriate choice, should you choose to vote.

Ron Paul understands Principle.

Ron Paul understands Money.

Ron Paul understands Human Nature, knowing full well there's not a healthy soul on this planet who prefers war.

Ron Paul understands that unless we (attempt to) save the Foundation, America is certainly lost.

Ron Paul has a deep understanding of the existence of forces who have chosen to threaten us.

Ron Paul is strong, he has demonstrated his sacrifice for the appropriate mission by standing up -- alone -- against a broken government.

Ron Paul has a healthy ego -- not a sick and shallow one -- to guide him.

Ron Paul has wisdom, commensurate with his years.

We all need stable, steady, smarter, saving type leaders.  If you can reallly speak what you think of Obama it would help the world.

Also he need protection from the enemy inside the USA.
