Tonight’s GOP debate is the first since the Iowa caucuses and is set to take place just an hour from Boston at St. Anselm’s College in Manchester, New Hampshire. The debate will feature Iowa winner and former Massachusetts’ governor Mitt Romney pitted against Rick Santorum, who was a very close second in the Hawkeye State, as well as the remaining Republican candidates, including Rick Perry, Ron Paul, John Hunstman, and Newt Gingrich. Tonight’s GOP Presidential debate is carried by ABC, who will broadcast it at 9 PM eastern time from New Hampshire.
The Republican debate will be moderated by ABC’s Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulous. You can watch the Republican Debate from St. Anselm’s in New Hampshire online below.
Romney won the Iowa Caucus by a count of eight votes over Santorum in the wee hours of Wednesday morning after a late-night count of Iowa caucus votes reduced Santorum’s lead from 900 votes to nothing before Romney just passed him by. Paul placed third in Iowa, with Gingrich – the presumed front-runner for the Republican nomination – coming in a distant fourth, and going on to proclaim that Romney won’t win the nomination because “he only got 25% of the Republican vote.”
Tonight’s Republican debate is sponsored by ABC News, Yahoo! and WMUR-TV in New Hampshire. It will be moderated by ABC’s Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulous.

Very depressing to see the complete lack of basic economic understanding by the candidates, except Ron Paul. The best we can hope for is our local law enforcement sides with the people when it all comes crashing down.

Well, it was a bit silly when he went into disproportionate service and casualties during Vietnam, that just isnt reality. There is only a little over 1% difference between 1970 population percentage and fatal casualty percentage among blacks which I suspect is more due to be in lower level positions then anything else. It isnt evidence of unfairness to blacks, thats a bit silly.

He talked about an uneven burden on minorities in the military but I don't recall him specifically citing Vietnam in that regard.
Something like 25% of GIs in Vietnam were black, while blacks were only 10% of the general population. I'm sure you'll find similar minority statitistics in today's military. The poor fight the battles for the rich.

They're trying to set it up, but I agree it isn't going to happen. Indeed the response to postponing the elections is one of the few things I think would make TPTB truly frightened -- especially if there was a candidate polling with a significant margin.
Their mistake was holding elections during the Civil War, that established a precedent that pretty much precludes any gaming of election timing. They'll just revert to the old school vote tampering.
It'll be interesting to see if the statistics profs look at the US election results the same way as Russia and pick up on all the fraud, I know they found consistent irregularities in Diebold-based districts.

I work for an electric utility in Texas, and our lobbying group issued a statement the other day regarding Rick Perry (since he appoints our Public Utilty Commissioners, they've been following his movements in the primary closely, wondering if he'll still be in Texas in a year). The scuttlebutt in the lateest report is that Perry knows he's toast, but he's running interference for Romney right now to split the Republican-clone vote (everyone on the stage but Dr. Paul). In return, Perry will endorse the Stormin' Morman, and be offered a cabinet position in the Romney Admin.
