Watch The WaPo/Bloomberg Republican Presidential Candidate Debate Live

Tyler Durden's picture

For all those who can't seem to ever get enough of beltway theater, and enjoy listening to republicans do what they do best when they open their mouths, er, lips are moving, you are in luck: Charlie Rose is hosting a presidential round table with all the usual suspects live from the last resort backup Ivy, Dartmouth college.

This is incredible. They are just skipping over Paul...completely ignoring him..he is not attacking Cain for his Fed Gov Status previously. His campaign manager needs to get the hook because his debate prep is useless. He has an unblemished record on the economy should be taking advantage of reality TV living America to create endless soundbites attacking Romney for supporting TARP and his leaving the doorway open for more TARP to "Save the Dollar" ..how about the 1.5 trillion in stolen savings ever since we handed out ZIRP??

  Is that saving our currency?

This whole format is rigged.  They keep on going to Cain, Bachman, Perry and Romney.  Even Gingerich is getting some exposure.  Ron Paul 45 seconds in one hour.  This whole election and process is a goddamn farce.

These cock suckers are doing everything in their power to ignore Ron, even positioning the camera in ways that they don't have to show him.  I'm once again in awe.....   I've watched the westminsterkennelclub dog show and learnt more important facts.  The dogs had more personality and charisma then these fuckin idiots.

Bachman is a robot.  Romney is a handsome idiot.  Perry is not even in the running.  Caine has lots of charisma for a federal reserve guy...   Im once again shocked at the level of stupidity that bloomberg has managed to present to me.

And this is how you fix an election. You own the media..you choose the questions..you choose the pro ponzi candidates and ignore the one person who wants to adhere to what made us a great nation. In 4 years you rinse repeat..

Bachmann: IRS

Perry: Pro globalist privatization of state property and exchanging donations for tunneling business towards contributors

Romney: Former Wall Street with some nepotism mixed in via his father

Cain: Pro Tarp former Fed Governor

Huntsman: Ambassador to China and a father who thrived off exporting American Jobs

Santorum: Mr. Pro War

These are your choices...and then we have the one.

No you fix the election by making it all about the individual rather than policy - makes it easier for the media to wrap up and the public to digest. There is no one person who can fix this. I mean there are somethings I like about RP's policy, somethings I don't but looking at him as saviour is .... stupid (Ok ready to be junked to hell and beyond). The system is broke!

My traitororious Senator is fully ready to launch WWIII.

Senator Mark Kirk declared that the plot linked to the Iranian government to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador to the US in Washington, D.C., amounts to a declaration of war on the US by Iran

Wait for it...

Kirk joined WLS Radio’s Roe and Roeper Show and said that the US response should be to take action to collapse the central bank of Iran and ruin their currency.

You can't make this shit up! Senator Kirk (cunt) wants nothing less than the genocide of the entire Iranian populace through hyper-inflation of their currency... President of Iran, Ahamdinejad only a few weeks ago at the UN

Who nullified the Breton Woods system by printing trillions of dollars without the backing of gold reserves or equivalent currency? A move that triggered inflation worldwide and was intended to prey on the economic gains of other nations? (Hint: USA)

Got World War 3? Got currency wars? got Gold?

Ron Paul please deliver us!

I repeat.

Fact:  Saudi's need oil above $80+  or their national budget doesn't balance.

Fact: An unbalanced budget means less payoffs to the populus

Fact: Less payoffs to the people means overthrow possiblities

Fact: the news cycle is under control...

Yet, we'll hear anti-Paulites say "Ron Paul hasn't passed any legislation. He hasn't done anything".

He's cured MILLIONS from APATHY. He's started the brushfire of liberty. He started the TRUE tea party movement. The grassroots movement. The 100,000 contributors to his campaign.

I fear the sheeple won't wake up in time. If he is not elected next year, we will be running $2 trillion + annual deficits by then, the dollar and euro will become so debased everyone will be 'millionaires and billionares' and not able afford to eat dog food.

If you understood anything about our current governmental Gordian Knot, you would understand that under the circumstances he's made considerable progress in the realm of public awareness and sets the benchmark for people of worth to aspire to.

His books are not only worthwhile reading, but in my opinion, essential for a thinking human being to spend time digesting so that they can better understand what it means to be an American.

Have you ever immersed yourself in a broken system and attempted to effect real change from within?

If you haven't, please shut your yapper and stop interrupting the adults who are having a conversation here.

Worshippers of Moloch used to have a rite where a slave was placed into the belly of a golden bull, and a fire was lit underneith- as the metal heated, the screams of the roasting slave were transmitted through something shaped like a trumpet, that made it seem as though the bull was breathing fire and roaring.

Could be that history is rhyming again, but this time they're slowly boiling frogs.

What was that 8 karat gold? Can't see you getting much of a people-cookin' blaze going under a golden bull without melting it.

I'm absolutely certain everyone's life in this country will improve 1000% if any of the favorites: Perry, Romney, Bachman (dingbat), Cain, et al, win the presidency. What a bunch of hopeless losers.

Ron Paul excluded of course. I don't agree with him 100%, but he's so far beyond the other low lifes in the group he's the only viable choice. Hence the Rethuglican machine will marginalize him as much as possible since they won't be able to control him.

Besides being horrible depressing watching the candidates that want to be President of America and have immense power in the way the World functions----- there is an upside. It shows the gullibility and inhibited thinking process the voters of America possess, or at least what the candidates seem to show as their opinion of the voters.

At least with the “information age” there is a way to call out these impersonators and show them for the frauds they appear to be. Yes, the insanity seems to be a viable reason to truly need medications or at the least a decent strong drink to survive these presentations of America in stupidity land.

At least the posters here bring some hope to the situation by the voters that they will not be fooled every time. The problems are with the tolerance of the American citizen of the lying, cheating, and unqualified candidates that the TWO major political parties present to lead this Nation in not only the WH but in all sectors of our government society.

Without smarter voters there is no hope. Without enforcement of laws by honest law officials there is no rule of law. Without accurate and honest information dissemination there can not be educated citizens.

One plan to solve this is the Salem, Massachusetts plan. Tie them up and throw them in the pond. If they float, they are not a witch. The 21 Century version would be to attach a 20# bar bell weight. Nor sure what kinda EPA permit is needed.

just tryin to help figer it out

Wow Idiot Mitt said the 'regulations' are going to mark the value of things lower and thus that's why they won't give out loans.  Gee Mitt, thanks for telling us you're for mark to unicorn.

Rick Perry, is stupider than Bush.  Also backed by the same guys that repealed Glass-Steagall.  He's so in bed with Wall Street he probably makes Timmy blush.

ROFL @ Newt.  China couldn't compete with us?  Even with free trade? Even with rigged trade?

Herman Munster keeps trying to get Wall Street money by saying how against protesting on wall street he his.  Makes sense though.  He wouldn't protest during the civil rights movement, who could expect him to back protests now?  He's an apologist, a dumbass, and has never found a reason to protest through bigotry or wall street/bankster's crimes.   If not during these times, when? Never. Easy.

Hey herman, your plan ain't the 999, you got it all upside down, your plan is 666.

Rick Santorum, the answer to poverty is family? Wow great to know that everybody can have 'family', and it can solve the greatest monetary depression.

You know it takes a real special idiot to think these guys aren't complete fools and clueless about what to really do.  It's hilarious because these candidates actually take themselves seriously.  They get up there, talk about nothing but bs, and actually think they are saying something important, and really think they have a plan (which is no more on paper than Merkozy's for most, and the one's that do look like something a 3rd grader would present).

I have a novel idea:

Why don't they be true patriots and have a major announcement tomorrow all throwing their support behind Romney. He will then name Cain as his VP, Newt as his chief of staff, Paul as Secretary of Treasury, Huntsman goes back to China, Bachman and Santorum to cabinet positions at least eight spots down on succession chain, and tell Perry to go back to Texas or create a new reality TV show with Sarah Palin.

They then take the next couple of months honing their game plan and Obama loses in a landslide.

I'm a moderate, and have voted both ways in the past.

I'd actually vote for Ron Paul over Obama. The rest of the candidates are lunatics. Even Romney, seemingly normal in appearance, is bat-shit crazy (and flat out unlikeable). Funny that the lunatic fringe's media wants little to do with legitimizing Paul. Good luck with all that.

Appropriate reporting on the "debate" follows.  Spending any more time on it than this would be a waste of your time:

http://globaleconomicanalysis.blogspot.com/2011/10/republican-debate-nin...

  • Herman Cain touted his "9-9-9" economic tax plan at every conceivable opportunity as if nothing else mattered.
  • Most of the other candidates trashed "9-9-9" at every chance, enough to make the debate a "nine-dimensional wonder".
  • Mitt Romney sounded like "Slick Willie" tiptoeing around Obamacare, for and against it. Romney would abolish Obamacare even though his plan while Governor of Massachusetts was the basis for Obamacare.
  • Ron Paul seldom got to speak. It was as if he did not exist. When he did speak, in the candidate-to-candidate questioning, Ron Paul had his facts wrong about things Cain said about the Fed. Cain blasted Paul in response.
  • In a moment that should be enough to make anyone with economic sense keel over in agony, Cain praised Alan Greenspan. Good grief.
  • Mitt Romney, as president would take it upon himself to label China a currency manipulator, with all the bad consequences thereof.
  • Mitt Romney repeated his pledge for a strong military which of course means wasting more money we do not have on perpetual war-mongering.
  • Everyone treated Perry as if he was irrelevant (which he probably is given numerous recent bouts with foot-in-mouth disease). However, irrelevant is better than ignored. Perry (unlike Paul) got to speak. He just never said anything worth hearing.
