Welcome To The Deja Vu Circle Of Hell: Greek Referendum Has Been Scrapped (This Time Maybe For Real)
This time from AP:
- GREECE BAILOUT REFERENDUM HAS BEEN SCRAPPED
- PAPANDREOU SAYS WOULD NEVER PUT EURO AS REFERENDUM QUESTION
- Officials close to Greek prime minister tell Associated Press bailout referendum has been scrapped
How close? And are they closer to their Forex frontrunning trading platform?
Seriously - No more... Please... We give up.
From AP:
Athens, Greece (AP) -- Two officials close to the Greek prime minister say he has scrapped his plan to hold a referendum on the latest European debt deal for Greece after the main opposition leader said would back it.
The two officials said George Papandreou made the comments during an emergency Cabinet meeting Thursday. One also said the premier would not resign despite mounting pressure, and would await the outcome of Friday's confidence vote in his government.
They spoke on condition of anonymity to disclose talks in the Cabinet meeting, being held in Parliament.

in US we don't have 400:1 anymore
only 50:1 , but still workable.
The bankers rule the world, not just in Greece
Don't give up Tyler, swing trades were pretty good.
This should hardly be inspiring confidence in the markets and yet inexplicably the dow is up...everything is good news when reality is that at BEST the US is stable (and fairly poor) and EUROPE simply hasn't imploded YET (but is fast declining) and China/Hong Kong sit in the balance...this is the thing of higher markets...who is buying because all the big hedgies seem to be either sitting out short so is it just day traders and quants creating this upward momo?
US is stable? Tell that to the good people of Oakland.
Next up. Gpap says bullshit.
Has to be the next thing, rumor again denied. Battling Baghdad Bobs is now what comprises the media.
This is how tyrants get in power. When the vacuum is big enough they just get sucked right in.
The Greeks are finally figuring out what the European Union is really about.
I will be waiting until I see the results of the "vote" that will soon take place in Syntagma Square before I decide on the future of the referendum.
Greek readers, we would love to be enlightened. Please update us.
*Except those recommending solar equities.
They are trying very hard to force the cancellation by keeping up the rumour pressure in the hope that it does the trick and not allow people to have a say in stopping bankster bailouts
No ink to print the ballots
Awesome, my best friend's mom makes $77 an hour on the computer. She has been out of job for 9 months but last month her check was $7487 just working on the computer for a few hours. Read about it here LazyCash6.com
Does her work involve a webcam and rubber pickle?
Fuck you, Joshua. Get lost.
Baghdad Bob was a mere novice compared to these clowns and their 24/7 juggling on unicycles act of constant rumors and denials.
Very sad, that the people of Greece are under the control of the EU and have no influence on their future. Can anyone say Mafia? NWO? This should be a wake up call for those who believe in democrazy.
If THIS is what democracy looks like, then Im definitely a radical anti democracy guy.
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner. A republic is two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner but the sheep has all the guns.
pap-smear was made an offer he couldn't refuse.
helmets on .
G-pap is like a white surrender flag in a heavy wind.... Weak.
More volatility please! Such news are not even fun anymore...
HE must be aware that snipers are waiting for green light to take him out any minute, anywhere.
Greeks can vote from the rooftops too.
Death of democracy, loss of sovereignty, more leaching on european tax payers etc etc. Yes, bullish for equities. Add the accelerating recession and u get really excited abt equities.
really interesting that FXE is going green after rate cut ...
Agree, should be down... but with market on cialis.....
What happens if it rallies for more than four hours? Seek medical attention?
Onion Layers of Game Theory. If I do what they think I won't do then I don't do what I wanted when they do what I want... Hold the line folks... This is all orchastrated duct tape.
I posted an hour and half ago the referendum would be scrapped and we would see a nice market reaction.
You guys should pay more attention to anonymous trolls.

Can't they just lever-up and have a referendum on whether to have a referendum?
Democracy is well and truly buried, welcome to the new world order, debt slavery!
It has been said before, it bears saying again. Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner. A republic is two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner but the sheep has all the guns. The NWO debt slavery has been around almost 100 years.
Sarkozy and Merkel are running out of lies. Like Iceland, Greece and Italy need to show the bankers the door. Iceland defaulted and is now recovering. The bankers that took on the risky debt need to eat the losses. It would be wrong for Geek, Irish, Spanish and Italian leaders to make the people IMF debt slaves.
Phhheww, that was close, almost let the people vote on their fate. Thankfully, the bankers gotta hold of Pop, and of course know what is best for the Greek people. There is absolutely no conflict of interest, none, zero. Long live the oligarchs. Long live crony capitalism. Long live fascism. It's amazing how the talking heads on CNBC unanimously hate the fact that Greece should be allowed to vote.
What incentive is there really to solve all this? There's more bang for the buck manipulating the news. Real solutions risk real pain and lowered markets.
Everything up in the air, with news that X will happen then news that X will not happen creates an endless parade of relief rallies. Not sure why there would be incentive to do anything else.
someone posted yesterday and I guess history does rhyme
The SS indulged their bloodlust on men, women and children alike. While homes and shops blazed around them like some hellish inferno, women were violated and those who were pregnant were stabbed in the guts. Small babies were bayoneted in their cribs. The village priest was beheaded.
By the time Hitler’s men had left the Greek village..

Where is the humanitarian intervention for Greece?
People don't need feta that bad...
Why would anyone lend these clowns money?
Is the Greek economy still functioning? All I hear are the political headlines, but last I heard the state was shut down due to a nationwide strike. Did that lift? Is everyone back to work (those who still have jobs)? If the man in the streets doesn't support the austerity and bailout and is willing to strike over it, then there's no point. The politicians can argue all they want, but in a modern country if people aren't bought into the system, it can't run. The referendum isn't for giving the people a voice. The referendum is to get them to shut up.
I have to go with a Reversal day today, a close in the Red. The opposite of what I called a month ago. Watch the vix.
it will be slow jam. No doubt.
Why should the Eurozone crisis be any different than any other bank panic in history? If it feels like deja vu,. it is more than just a strange feeling. Central banks are more like grave robbers than guardians of public trust.

Those responsible for scrapping the referendum... have been scrapped.
