I must say, it does make sense seeing that these are the people who really rule the world.  They should pull the guards off of White House and Congressional Duty.

All hail the unelected central planners!

This checkpoint is nothing more than window dressing. Don't be fooled about their real power. They already control the military, a few three letter agencies, a few bullshit countries that have natural resources, and a bunch of foreign central banks.

This says it all: "Prior to designation as Federal Law Enforcement Officers, system protection personnel operated as protection or special police officers in their respective states and were almost exclusively regulated to exercising authority on Federal Reserve Property. Following the passage of updated legislation by Congress after 9/11 that designated Federal Law Enforcement Authority to system officers, authority now extends to wherever a Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer is performing official duties, whether in uniform or on a plain clothes assignment."

"Upon being hired, each officer must complete training at a district Federal Reserve Police Academy. Along with this, they must also be sworn in as a United States Federal Reserve Police officer."

What's really the problem is this little nugget from Wikipedia: "Prior to designation as Federal Law Enforcement Officers, system protection personnel operated as protection or special police officers in their respective states and were almost exclusively regulated to exercising authority on Federal Reserve Property. Following the passage of updated legislation by Congress after 9/11 that designated Federal Law Enforcement Authority to system officers, authority now extends to wherever a Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer is performing official duties, whether in uniform or on a plain clothes assignment."

That's a tangible monument representing taxpayer money being spent to hire security and implement/build extensive security infrasture to protect a non-governmental entity that calls itself a bank.

But I'm sure the Fed has a pre-formulated bullet item list as to all the specific ways these expenses, after some lengthy and tortured analysis, don't end up costing taxpayers anything, just like they have bullet item lists that explain the ways that they both are and are not (depending on the topic, context, venue, [legal] forum and audience) a public or a private entity, depending on what particular answer furthers their goals, legal strategy, agenda on any given day...

FedResPolice are legit and carry same power as fed officers as well as having some city and state powers where the Fed res banks are.

On October 12, 2010 President Barack Obama signed into law S.B. 1132 the "Law Enforcement Officers' Safety Act Improvements Act", which states that police officers and law enforcement officers of the Federal Reserve are "qualified law enforcement officers" and thus are authorized to carry a firearm off-duty. This update to the Law Enforcement Safety Act, among other aspects, clarified that Federal Law Enforcement Officers working for Amtrak and the Federal Reserve (not funded by Congress) are specifically granted the same rights as publicly funded law enforcement officers as it relates to off duty concealed carry.

If you have never visited a Fed branch, it is now a cvery intimidating experience.  I worked in a southern Fed 1989-90 and the access to the building was easy - drive up in the circle out front any time.  This Fed has been undergoing renovations for over 10 years - it is now a fortress.  Visited for the first time 6 months ago since working there - my car entered a "dead man zone" - a German Shepherd sniffed all around my car completely, then I walked into a another holding area for metal detector and Q&A.  All of this was before ever setting foot into the actual fed building.  The guards are noticeably armed and protected.  I guess more post 9/11 stuff...

I guess that proves they don't have anything good up their sleeves for the proles. You only get security like that when you are about to make some committed enemies. Buy gold and silver folks.

Please find out what the Federal Reserve Police as well as the checkpoints themselves are supposed to be for.

thanks!

To my mind since the Federal Reserve is a private entity/corporation they have zero jurisdictional zones except their own property (maybe it's for all the MBSs they own now).   If one of these guys tries to get between me and my liberty and persuit of happiness I'm going to tell him to go back and fondle himself in his 'checkpoint' because that's all he has the 'right' to do.

End of Line

Right?

I was there. They told me through a speaker: bent over and open your mouth, there's two of us. Than they pulled my creditcard and made me another 10 grand of debt. They gave me a weird tattoo of some pyramid with an eye on top, a food coupon for FemaFunParcs and threw me out the backdoor. Strange country.

First of all, the FED is not a Republic! It is a foreign privately owned joint stock corporation. The USA is also a private foreign corporation. As are the STATES, COUNTIES, CITIES and TOWNS. Research these entities on Manta.com or Dun & Bradstreet and you will see that this so.

The Prince by Nicolo Machiavelli CHAPTER XVI

"

...

And of that which is neither yours nor your subjects' you can be a ready giver, as were Cyrus, Caesar, and Alexander; because it does not take away your reputation if you squander that of others, but adds to it; it is only squandering your own that injures you.

And there is nothing wastes so rapidly as liberality, for even whilst you exercise it you lose the power to do so, and so become either poor or despised, or else, in avoiding poverty, rapacious and hated. And a prince should guard himself, above all things, against being despised and hated; and liberality leads you to both. Therefore it is wiser to have a reputation for meanness which brings reproach without hatred, than to be compelled through seeking a reputation for liberality to incur a name for rapacity which begets reproach with hatred.

..."
