Is This Why US Rail Traffic Is So Strong?

Also, if we were Mexico (or is that East LA?) we would be nervous. Very, very nervous. On the other hand, long-opressed Mexican crude may soon be liberated.

They announced the drills, said it was normal, and they were doing it for Practice for Urban Warfare, need to stay up on the tactics.

Funny,we just had at least a million men and women in Iraq for 7 yrs in Urban warfare, seems they would DAMN well know whats going down.

Unless of course they are training the foreign troops they have here by the thousands.

The Northern Command was doing drills, likely Ft Hood was, will be....................never seen any in the Dallas area, strange.

Monterrey? a lot of this stuff will go into mothballs in the next five years, they only need 1/10 of what they have to do civilian crowd control, or invade Mexico. its pretty embarrassing for them, like the fields and fields of aircraft and equipment built in WW2 which never left the US. all taxpayer dollars.

they're not desert camo, and the armored personnel carriers are for urban warfare not desert/jungle. This is the old FEMA trick where you move supplies all around the country for no reason to pay people off. FEMA pulled this shit during Katrina. Sending generators, ice, medical supplies to multiple areas of the South in a round about way to New Orleans. Stuff never arrived in NOLA. The warehouses are probably still full with that crap.

The youtube page says this was filmed in Santa Cruz, and was heading southbound. Another videographer looked up the train and found its destination was the Sierra Army Depot in Herlong, which is a large storage area for Army mechanized vehicles.

So, actually, no big deal... this time.

Fri, 01/27/2012 - 23:21 | 2104827 Milestones
Milestones's picture

Sorry, something is badly wrong with this whole thing. 1) we have a train heading SOUTH to Herlong (40.09N 120.08 W) from Santa Cruz (36.58 N 122.01W) 2. Herlong is in Nevada and is substantially North of Santa Cruz. 3) As someone pointed out the rail line from Santa Cruz is a single track 10 mile an hour track and as such I would think would not be graded to that much weight. 4) I graduated out of San Jose State  and lived above a T.V. shop and installed antenna's up there (mountains and beach area) of Santa Cruz. I cannot see why anyone in their right mind would send a train that way if they were going to Salinas or places further south.

There was a sighting of such said train in the State of Michoacan, Mexico several days later. Michoacan (the state) is some 350-400 miles south of Puerto Vallerta and below it is Guerrero which is mainly Alcapuelo 200 miles south yet. We are way south of the last bad narcotic city of Matazlan.

What the hell, if all the above is correct, is going on?

So let me propose a wild eyed hypothsis: These machines are headed to the Mexican SOUTHERN Border to seal it off from ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS from further south. We are going to help Mexico control its border so we can protect our border????

Remember a year or two ago--all the talk about the AMERO?? Think outside the box for a second. We have a contested and done deal on a CANADIAN oil pipeline, cheap Mexican labor with the prospect of a full scale revolution between two different cultures (you do remember the FBI giving away several thousand  automatic rifles now don't you--think it's stopped??!!) Still feel all warm and fuzzy?

Probably as full of shit as a Christmas goose--but anymore what the hell isn't.          Milestones

While this equipment probably is still functional and could be used, someone pointed out on a different website that there are markings on the side of the vehicles that indicate damage or orders to decommision.  The boxes are supposedly where there is damage to the hull.  The writing on the side of some of them indicates which vehicles to decommission.

No visible unit markings for far sight recognition on those M2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Nor on the fueling trucks. All paint looks decent. Regardless of the color scheme. Also, these were shipping without barrels attached from what I could see.

All it means is that these are new production, or Cold war reserves being moved for more long term storage. The military is trying to downsize, right? That means consolidation. Just saying.

I was wondering the same thing.  In fact, I've been wondering if the ever escalating "war on drugs" in mexico is somehow a cover for such activities.  I mean, why else would be be supplying weapons to mexican drug cartels and then never following up on investigations into the who's and why's of the matter.  Mix that with recent news that blackwater is being deployed into mexico and I just have to really wonder.  I mean, you could kill any politician you don't like, then blame in on those drug guys, then turn a country into chaos all while looking like some sort of "friend" to the world, protecting everyone from those evil drugs.

I, like you, think it may have more to do with silver than with drugs.  After all, we own afganistan, which produces no less than 80% of the worlds heroin, yet somehow with the worlds strongest military, we are incapable of destroying these MASSIVE cash crops that allegedly aid "terrorists".  So if the "world police" don't stop the growth, production, or distribution of one of the worlds most addictive substances, what exactly are they doing?  I'm pretty sure the proceeds do aid terrorists, just not the ones our attention is being directed at...

Opium has been used as a subtle weapon of destablisation by western powers before.  Somehow, I don't think those corrupt individuals at the top could let the profits from such a lucrative business just be lost for the sake of humanity.

Think for a minute-  We have a long border with Mexico that has huge stretches of unmonitored land.   Most crossings from south to north into the US happen at night.  If you knew that some sort of civil unrest may be approaching and you were fearful that Mexico may not be able to control its population, what would you do?  As a preventive measure you might station mobile Remote vehicles at points where there is little or no ability to monitor the boarder.   These would have no real guns on them but would be loaded with the latest in both surveillance equipment and non lethal deterrents (including sound, voice alerts and lights, use your imagination).

These would be used in concert with Aerial, satellite and additional ground support (ie: people) in an effort to achieve total situational awareness and a higher level of control.  So the vehicles should not have visible guns and are colored for night surveillance and will be able to navigate most terrain on the border.

I think what we may be seeing is part of the effort to create a virtual wall on our Southern border.

From Wikipedia...

Since entering service with the U.S. Army in 1981, a total of 6,724 Bradleys (4,641 M2s and 2,083 M3s) have been produced. The total cost of the program is $5,664,100,000, and the average unit costs $3,166,000.[9]

Assuming there were really 100 Bradley's on that train (I didn't count them) and ignoring the tanker trucks, that was $316 million worth of tax dollars (or debt owed to China) rolling by.

Military iron is moved around the continent by rail all the time.

Few things I'd like to point out:

The fact that so many across the internet are paying attention and conspiracy theories are flourishing means that many people are awake. Note that the majority of those interested are immediately thinking about our government planning either another unjust war or worse yet, planning to round up US citizens. Not sure if we've ever had a time in history where Americans were so disillusioned with government and to a degree almost paranoid about their government out to hurt them. Whether justified or not is besides the point right now. What does that say about the state of our nation? I guess more than any prescripted "State of the Union" address would ever bring to light.

The US is going for broke. Pentagon is cutting back pretty dramatically across the board. Bringing troops home from the ME and closing a few shops in Germany. More troops coming home. Coming home to what exactly? That's more of a concern because unemployed military has a tendency to organize. It happened everywhere else, it can happen here. Government knows this as well as I do which is why they have to plan for the eventuality. Also, military salaries are barely enough to survive on and inflation will hurt even more. The Soviet Union collapsed from within when the military broke ranks, didn't get paid enough and started selling weaponry en masse to anyone with cash (Dollars or Deutschmark only).

For all I know the equipment could go to the scrapyard as the Pentagon is desperately trying to raise cash. That transport by rail wasn't cheap either. Every drop of diesel fuel in these machines is costing the taxpayer. There is not going to be a war involving the US anytime soon. We can't afford it.

When the US went into war in 2001, there were buyers of US debt to finance the war effort. Those buyers are gone. Worse, the buyers are selling the US debt back. Sure we can print into oblivion, but if nobody accepts the paper that's not backed by anything we're done.

From a different angle, back in 1990, the army called up doctors for duty in Saudi Arabia, including my partner,  in preparation for the first Gulf war so fast, they barely had time to pack their bags.

Now that I am looking for a position in the Army Medical Corps as an orthopedic surgeon, it has been 6 mos and still no word. It is going to take some time for the military to refurbish, resupply, restore, rebuild from the 2 ME wars.

The other day i was talking to a fellow from Mexico city,... whom by the way, left the country because of the fascist [dictatorship] state, brought on by the "Institutional revolutionary Party [PRI]" - whom by the way have put the new meaning of "Feudalism" back into the neo-classical modern-day dictionary!

Quote: ___ "The City is a Hell-Hole of corruption, pollution, and drug cartels - nobody is safe!"

There were more exchanges, but, you get my drift - elections will be held July/2012 in Mexico. There will certainly be a "Civil War" if the "PRI" remain in office?

If the US is pulling out of Iraq, as I read, and a pull back in Afghanistan, does it not make sense that equipment has to be moved around as it returns to the US? Barstow is a huge military area where armored exercises and training take place. Others here has stated that there are other sites in California where the vehicles may be headed. Out side storage in the area between Phoenix and Tucson, where aircraft are stored, is pretty dry for long term storage.

On the other hand, a lot of tank laden trains were seen before the Iraq dispute.

One obvious situation. not seen here, is that the Governor of Arizona got into the face (with her pointing finger pointed at his head)of the President of USA on the tarmac. It is said it was a truss discussion. Maybe having to do with the Mexican Drug War on the border. Note that Obama has refused to see the Texas and Arizona borders where there is a War zone much more dangerous to the US than the ME. The drug war death count in Mexico exceeds numbers that I can comprehend.

One might make levity and say that Obama is going to invade Arizona.

One might make sense and say that we have the military might rolling around on rail cars to defend the Southern Borders of our Nation. Yes we can, and NO we are not.

Rage is missing. As we look at today, the Party that is attempting to oust Obama, there is noise and stupidity over Who is the most conservative and Who loved Ronald R best. Abortions, gays, bull shit and nonsense. They say America is too dumb to get the big picture.

America says they are too dumb to lead the Nation. Yes, that includes the present administration.

I withdraw all comments stating that Obama may be a bright guy or smart man. With the exception of Ron Paul, the Republicans are a lost party. And America may be a lost Nation

I don't know.

If we are to deploy on the Mexican Border from Ca to Tx it will require two field armies (300,000) or 8 Corps equilvilant to put a man every 50 yards 24/7 and seal it.

We are leaving a pile of trucks and humvees as a gift to the iraqis. It's cheaper to do that then to marshal the shipping required to move all that crap.

There were some Paladins on Heavy Haul trucks towards St Louis the other day. Strange because Oklahoma is supposed to be the school of artillery.

the usa prision bureau BOP is said to have several thousand busses filled with prisoners driving around on the nation's highways at any given time. It is called "Diesel Therapy" to put problem pisioners on these buses who have no need to be transported to facilities in other regions, with those that do, just to punish them. If you knew how to identify the markings of these busses and were to make a video of them filled with prisoners passing by on the hghways you or someone like Alex Jones could easily speculate that there was some grand plan underway to take them to concentration camps or kill them or whatever. In fact, it is just government waste and inefiiciency. Nothing more than that. This kind of thinking paranoid leads poeple to think that clouds are chemical trails and all kinds of stupidity. When I see a video of the usa government moving tanks around by train I know it is just more of the same, money wasting. If people read more into it than that it just shows how crazy you can become if you fixate on one incident or theme, like false flags, for too long. then before much time the entire world is one big false flag to their mind
