Did you ever notice that the most irrelevant shows and sites have the most flashing lights, graphics, and gimmicks? Contrast that to ZH, which has a simple white background with a normal font and virtually no graphics. Without knowing anything else about finance or the markets, which do you think has the most substance?
CNBS had the catbird seat in the '08 crash. The masses were grasping for information, any information as to what the hell is going on. CNBS had the ratings to prove it. Then they broke a cardinal rule, they injected their political ideology (Obama/democrat) spin onto their business news platform.
Except for ignorant diehards, like Liesman, many at CNBS are seeing that maybe they picked the losing side. Unfortunately, for them, it's too late. The info seekers have since found real news, with real facts, can be found in non state controlled media sources.

Congratulations...I like others appreciate the non-glossy world you are all providing here as it is long over due that everyone starts to take the rose colored glasses off, realize this country has been pulling a fast one on its citizens since Truman left. Bank owners, bond owners and others need to feel some real pain like the middleclass has for decades now...What QE1 and 2 showed me in real plain terms is that even if a magic bucket of $5T appeared for this country to spend, we would not be able to get $1 of return for each dollar spent. We have created such judicial, political and regulatory red tape and heaped such debt on ourselves that paving roads, adding schools, refurbishing prisons do NOT create 3% growth...We need to find a new way to be competitive in a world where we need 3-20x income that other citizens need to live...this will take vision, focus through many administrations and austerity for the US....
