BATS Global Markets Announces Departure of William O’Brien; Joe Ratterman, CEO, Reassumes Additional Role Of President
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – July 22, 2014 – BATS Global Markets (BATS) today announced the departure of William O’Brien as President, effective immediately, with CEO Joe Ratterman reassuming the additional role of President.
Mr. Ratterman previously held both the CEO and President roles from June 2007 through January 2014. He joined BATS in June 2005 as a founding employee.
In addition to Mr. Ratterman as CEO and President, the remainder of the executive management team is unchanged with Chris Isaacson, Executive Vice President, Global Chief Information Officer; Tami Schademann, Executive Vice President, Chief Regulatory Officer; Eric Swanson, Executive Vice President, General Counsel; Mark Hemsley, CEO of BATS Chi-X Europe; Brian Schell, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer; and Bryan Harkins, Executive Vice President, Head of U.S. Markets.
The full executive team will report directly to Mr. Ratterman.
