The managerial class does not understand the limits of AI. Tens of thousands are being laid off. As processes fail, they have to rehire people.
Without entry level positions, how are people expected to gain experience and skill to become experts?
The effect on the tax and consumer base from the layoffs will decimate the US as an economic power. A few people in the multimillionaire to multibillionaire class are not enough to sustain the economy as millions are forced into poverty.
Social cohesion is already hanging by a thread. If this is what "capitalism" looks like, expect NYC and Mamdami-ism to spread.
While the narrator is mildly annoying, his point - that the data centers going up are really intended to centralize ALL computing in the US (at least for the plebs/small businesses) - is a real possibility. "You will own nothing and be happy." As an idea for social control/censorship, it makes sense.
