I was fascinated that people believed Trump was billed as the second coming of Christ when just a quick study of his past would lead one to realize this was a farce. He just was a charismatic politician to stir up the conservatives just as Biden was to stir up the Democrats. No progress can be made voting for Kang or Kodos.
We have moved further into the mountains to further insulate ourselves from the California Dream. Frankly the most calm I have experienced in years. Just pine trees, fresh air and quiet.
I am going to focus on my business next year so I won’t be here much. Covid is faded away so my commentary isn’t as useful which is a good thing. After 5 years of bitterness, having fantasies burning down my hospital, being pissed off with all the rampant idiocy, I’ve come to the conclusion it’s far better to focus on myself and those who can use my help. I have realized a better revenge is to become successful and earn back all the money I lost. Even if I don’t, I will still have the satisfaction of being an entrepreneur rather than a slave in a corporation that certainly doesn’t align with my values.
we were in Kauai a year back and we absolutely loved it. Someday we hope to return. My daughter and SiL preferred Maui and want to return. Maybe we’ll tag along:)

I asked why the bathrooms were boarded up and the reason was that if there was no sit down seating, they don’t have to provide a bathroom. I just walked out and went to the 711 across the street. Paid a lot less but I had to negotiate the homeless obstacle course.

You forgot soy. I recently had a $900 bill from rodents chewing through an oxygen sensor on my car.They told me it’s happening a lot now that the wires are coated with soy which attracts them. I’m sure it’s a lot cheaper to have soy coated wiring and an additional benefit of costly repairs. I’m sure they will feign ignorance about this but I’m betting it was deliberate.

That fact should cause you to question why you are purchasing a product from a company that has produced purposefully addictive products in the past.

Had a friend who had what I suspected was Sporothrix schenckii infection in her wrists. It took the Canadian system 9 months to authorize a fungus culture to confirm my suspicions ( she had been dealing with this for years. No doctors could figure it out). Yes I was right. I told her to request Itraconizole ( very expensive) for treatment and under no circumstances use Amphotericin B ( dirt cheap) which has horrible side effects ( we call it Shake and Bake). Yup, they refused to give her the antibiotic I suggested saying “ it’s not on our formulary “ and gave her the Amp B. She almost died and left the hospital AMA. She said she’d rather die from the fungus than from the treatment.
Had another Canadian friend diagnosed with a M. avium infection and was given Flagyl to treat it. Completely inappropriate and was hospitalized for a month. Damn luckily he survived it.
