Those sum up my thoughts on the situation. The main problems are peak oil and an infinite growth paradigm. If you don't believe in peak oil after researching it and having it explained to you, then you took Bible studies in lieu of science classes in high school and college or are in denial.
The infinite growth paradigm provided many benefits to those who didn't have to face the end of it.
My life experience thus far has led me to this philosophical conclusion: Absurdism
It's likely the world is just some illusion or simulation. I cannot find fault with the notion of determinism.
