Biography

Byron "Buster" Bluth is the youngest child of George and Lucille Bluth and in many ways, none of them literal, he hasn't left the womb. He still lives with his mother, spends all of his time with her, worries excessively about what she thinks about him and relies on her for all support.

When he begins to try to show signs of independence, he only succeeds in dating Lucille Austero, an older woman who is his mother's best friend and might as well be his mother, down to the same first name.

Buster is socially awkward in all ways, and makes other people around him nervous. His siblings don't really know what to do with him.

Despite his delayed social development, he is actually intelligent and spends a lot of his time enjoying "scholarly pursuits." He later joins the Army.

Background: Buster is prone to panic attacks and general nervousness about everything. He hates open and closed spaces and has a fear of sheep, birds and seals, the last of which ultimately proves to be well-founded after he has an unfortunate encounter with a "loose seal."

Developmentally, he shares several traits with toddlers, including hyperactivity after sugar and the need for frequent naps.

He has a habit of giving unwanted shoulder massages. He refers to his family members by their relationship to him, e.g. "Hey, brother." He and his mother enjoy participating in "Motherboy," an annual mother-son dinner and dance event.
