It might also involve a Global Conflict - World War 3! Great!!!
Current flashpoint being Russia/ Ukraine, but plenty of other tinder boxes just waiting for a spark to really go nuts. We all know them.
I wouldn't expect Russia to press the button on WW3 before its allies in Brazil get to enjoy their time in the Sun though - wouldn't want to ruin the FIFA World Cup Party if it can at all be helped (Thursday June 12 - Sunday July 13, 2014).
Of course, events might overtake that timetable.... (Like they did with Sochi - but we all know who pushed that chain of events through....
