I have been self employed my entire career and thankful for it. I have been investing on my own as well. Decided to cut lose from the markets in 2001 after one of my stocks was manipulated into non existence. Needless to say, I won't touch any investment unless its tangible. Be it land, property, metals or guns n ammo. My philosophy is, "if you don't own it, it's not yours"!
