Biography

Skepticism and honesty served me well in a career in risk analysis and environmental science working on "notional" nuclear accidents for DOE that began with NRC work on severe reactor accidents, then to DOE nuclear facilities, nuclear safety policy guidance, weapon safety assessments, and then development of brand-new approach to estimating the economic costs of large-scale nuclear contamination events. Since the only people who want honest estimates of the latter are working on nuclear weapons safety which can't be done without a Q clearance, that economic cost work meant the end of my career.

So I have plenty of time to think and to learn about psychology and sociology by being with my two cats and reading the news at ZH. I'd love to hear from you and don't bite.
