Biography

I was born in Santo Domingo 36 years ago. My family was poor and my dad worked 2 sometimes 3 jobs to provide for us all. Mom, dad, and 9 kids to feed ment he had time for work only and little time for us. I was the 2nd oldest. I had to help my dad make money for the family. I would go with him at 4 AM to the fish market to buy fish and vegtables for the family. I sold newspapers, and sometimes I sold fruits and vegetables on the street. I was good with math in school. I was also talented in other ways too. I lost my virginity at 12 when my friends sister showed me how. When I was 14, I was a big boy and my teachers were keeping me after school for remedial work, which was fun for me. My mom found out and she complained to the school to make the teachers leave me alone so I could go work. I finished school at 18 and then I came to Houston with my uncle Rico to learn english and try to become an American. I worked at different jobs with my hands and went to school at night to learn english. I saved money from my jobs and when I was 20, I applied to Rice Univ. to study math. I was accepted and received assistance so I could take classes and study without working except in the summer. I graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Math. I applied for a job with 4 oil companies and got accepted at Texaco to work at the research dept in Bellaire. By now, my friend Eric had sponsored me for citizenship, so I was American. I learned computer programming on the super computer and was promoted after 2 years to work in the seismic applications, assisting in developing digital filtering library routines for the seismic processing applications. After 5 years, I was promoted to developer and received my largest salary increase, which I saved in my investment account at Fidelity. I was still sending money home to my family in Republica Dominicana. The salary raise was so much, that I still was able to live comfortably and save for my future as well. In 2005, I was hired to work at a smaller company who developed software applications for display and plotting, geophysical systems and reservoir models. That is where I work today. I am an active investor and read alot of research material on the web. That is how I found your site.
