Potential for Agricultural Crisis in 2010

Interesting article here on what the author claims are falsified USDA agricultural numbers. We know that every other agency and regulator in the government is fakin' it to make it, so why not USDA as well. He believes that the food shortfall might cause prices to rise enough to panic governments into trying to strengthen their currencies all at about the same time, leading to a crashing FOREX market if some large central banks dump currency at the same time to ease the strain on their peoples. There must be commodity guys around here, and I am interested to hear what they have to say about a potential food crisis in 2010.
