Late on Tuesday night, as Texas turned blue, Nasdaq 100 futures were down as much as 2.5%. By Wednesday's close the Dow had ripped 1,500 points for its best day since April 2025, oil was down 8% after JD Vance blamed the Iran war for the GOP's wipeout, and the Democratic sweep that JPMorgan had flagged on Monday as the likeliest outcome and the worst one for stocks turned out to be... a buying opportunity.

In his latest note, "November: The Setup Improves", written as futures bounced off the overnight lows (S&P 500 +260bps, Nasdaq 100 +350bps at the time, and they kept going), Rubner says the election clears the deck for investors to "rebuild equity exposure into year-end."
