PM Insists Ireland ‘Not Overrun in Any Way’ by Migrants, Vows to ‘Accelerate’ Asylum Claims

Not only is Ireland not suffering under the weight of mass migrant importation, according to effete Prime Minister Micheál Martin, but the processing of asylum claims has been “too slow.”

“Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin pushed back on the notion that Ireland has been “overrun” by immigrants as nearly one in four residents is now foreign-born, arguing that the country’s dramatic demographic change has been driven largely by legal migration tied to its economic success story.

Martin, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, acknowledged failures in Ireland’s asylum system after a record surge in applications, saying it “was too slow” in recent years.

He also addressed moves to tighten citizenship rules and opened the door to publishing crime statistics by nationality amid a heated debate over immigration and crime…

“Ireland is not overrun in any shape or form,” Martin told Fox News Digital. “But we are conscious that it is an issue that has to be addressed robustly, firmly, fairly as well in terms of those seeking asylum.”…

“Obviously, illegal migration is the more potent issue. And our system was too slow in processing those seeking asylum. That has changed. We’ve accelerated the application and the consideration of applications, and we’ve also now accelerated the appeals process…

Critics of Ireland’s immigration policies have argued that migrants are disproportionately responsible for crime, while opponents of that view say such claims unfairly stigmatize the country’s growing foreign-born population. But the debate has been difficult to settle because Irish national crime statistics do not routinely publish nationality breakdowns, leaving limited public data to test competing claims.

The lack of data has prompted calls for greater transparency from women’s advocates and some Irish lawmakers, including proposals to publish crime statistics broken down by nationality.

“I’ve no issue with data ... because that can inform, because sometimes you get a kind of distorted picture,” Martin said when asked whether crime statistics should include the nationality of alleged suspects.* “So as far as I’m concerned, data is important.”

But Martin pushed back on the argument that nationality itself drives crime.

“I don’t think crime is specific to any nationality,” he said. “But there are issues there, and in some cases, yes, there’s been horrific crimes committed, but not all by illegal migrants either.””

*Spoiler alert: Given his hedging here and his track record as a neoliberal globalist minion, his face-saving lie to Fox News notwithstanding, Martin in no way plans to actually allow the accurate collation of crime data by nationality, as the data would be a horrific indictment of mass migration.

“A million knifey Al Sharptons are bound to turn up in County Kerry with their hands out someday, boy-o, maybe long after I’m in the ground,” my Irish-Catholic grandmammy once warned me through a thick fog of Virginia Slims smoke after a few Irish coffees. “And God help the Old Country then.”

Meanwhile, in reality, migrant chutzpah across the European continent continues to increase at a considerable clip — even more considerable than the rate of increase of the migrant population itself.

This migrant on a Zoom call, who fancies herself Irish on the basis that the treasonous government handed her a passport — and probably a bunch of cash and a house to boot — in a panel discussion on the UN International Decade for People of African Descent (IDPAD) designed to “remove all obstacles that prevent the equal enjoyment of all human rights of people of African descent, including economic, social, cultural, civil and political rights,” asserts that Ireland as a cohesive nation doesn’t actually exist and the natives are just going to have to get used to being replaced:

“So let’s drop this whole thing about Ireland belonging to the Irish. I don’t believe that’s a thing. I think this is something people need to unlearn now. You know, ‘our bloodline is Irish.’ Go and check your DNA history and see if that’s even true before you start spitting those facts. You get what I’m saying? I hope that’s not rude or anything but you know I’m a very blunt person when it comes to these kind of things. But the last thing I’d like to say is when you look at this history of Irish people a hundred years down the line, people from all different kinds of nations, you won’t even be able to trace their bloodline to it being Irish or no. All of a sudden, we’re just gonna be considered Irish.”

The architects of globo-homo race communism dispatch their pet migrants to demographically replace you with the welfare state of Western nations as the lure, and then use your displacement as evidence that the thing they replaced never existed in the first place because “look how diverse Ireland is!”

It’s such a cheap trick that it’s difficult to believe any Irishman could actually fall for it; what’s actually happening, for the most part, is that this is a humiliation ritual the natives are made to endure on pain of being branded a racist and having deputized migrant cops in the service of the Garda turn up at your door.

A counter-proposal for the African lady:

You’re not Irish; you’re a migrant, and as long as you’re on Irish soil you’ll always be a migrant — and an increasingly unwelcome one based upon your poor and hostile attitude.

You might feel like you’re in the driver’s seat for the time being.

However, if me and people like me have anything to say about it, one fine day, the long-suffering Irish people are going to wake up and realize they’ve had it up to here with your exploitation of their hospitality and good nature.

At such time, no amount of police protection — which is what you rely on to make these bold and, frankly, genocidal assertions — is going to be enough to save you from reaping what you have sown.

And, inshallah, the likes of Prime Minister Micheál Martin — the ultimate villains of this story, who sell out their own nation at the behest of multinational foreign interests — are going to get it too.
