Brace For One Of The Largest Equity-Selling Rebalances As Month-End Looms; Goldman

Heading into month and quarter-end, Goldman Sachs trading desk model estimates $33 billion of US equities to sell from US pensions given the moves in equities and bonds.

They estimate the equivalent amount of bonds to be bought.

After the first week of June, the sell estimate hovered around the $25bn range for most of the month with fluctuations up / down of around $4bn.
