Watch Live: President Trump Addresses The World Economic Forum

In the final speech by a world leader at this year's Davos globalists-fest, President Trump will address The World Economic Forum (and we suspect millions around the world) this morning to remind them that 'making American great again' will help their global growth goals.

Having been character-assassinated yesterday by George Soros, we wonder if Trump will go off-script among the globalist crowd?

Mr Trump is the first sitting US President to attend a WEF since Bill Clinton in 2000.

The White House has just release excerpts of the speech:

  • TRUMP TO TELL DAVOS LEADERS AMERICA `COMPETITIVE ONCE AGAIN'
  • TRUMP TO TELL DAVOS U.S. WILL INSIST ON FAIR, RECIPROCAL TRADE
  • TRUMP TO TELL DAVOS U.S. GROWTH WILL HELP DRIVE GLOBAL GROWTH
  • TRUMP TO WARN DAVOS AGAINST IGNORING `VOICES OF THE FORGOTTEN'

Evercore ISI’s Terry Haines writes in a note that President Donald Trump’s speech is intended as both a message to world leaders about the changes the administration wants in global economic and trade systems, and as "a prominent kickoff" for Tuesday’s State of the Union address.

It seems like a full-er-est house for this speech...

With perfect irony, The WEF leader was booed at his own event for this introductory statement for Trump: "I’m aware that your strong leadership is open to misconceptions and biased interpretations."

Bloomberg headlines from the speech:

  • TRUMP: U.S. HOPES FOR A FUTURE WHERE EVERYONE CAN PROSPER

  • TRUMP AT DAVOS HAILS `EXTRAORDINARY STRIDES' MADE IN HIS 1ST YR

  • TRUMP PRAISES CORPORATE INVESTMENTS AFTER LANDMARK TAX LAW

  • TRUMP TELLS DAVOS COUNTRIES SHOULD PLAY BY RULES IN TRADE

  • TRUMP: I WILL `ALWAYS PROTECT' INTERESTS OF U.S. AND ITS COS.

  • U.S. PREPARED TO NEGOTIATE BILATERAL TRADE DEALS W/ ALL NATIONS

  • TRUMP: DIDN'T ANTICIPATE `WATERFALL' OF POST-TAX CO. BONUSES

he is starting fires everywhere ... no wonder they put him in there ... what an imposter ... he will start the next war on palestinians.

Yesterday he was talking about  a strong dollar ... the real plan is to destroy US through a weak currency ... i remember a pakistani al qaeda saying that in Pakistan when was being arrested 10 years ago ... all planned well in advance folks.

look what trumpe said back in April 2017:

“I think our dollar is getting too strong, and partially that’s my fault because people have confidence in me. But that’s hurting, that will hurt ultimately…It’s very, very hard to compete when you have a strong dollar and other countries are devaluing their currency.”

I'm can only guess it is the equivalent of, "I bet you we will not have a Global Nuclear War that kills everyone this year."

If I win, I make a few bucks.  If I lose, do you think I will care that I can't pay up?  Who will collect?
I'm guessing that the market can not turn (or will not be allowed to turn) and so Trump can mouth off as much as he likes.  If it does turn, everything will be so fucked-up that Trump will be the least of everyone's concerns.  Likewise, TPTB stand to lose much more by letting the market turn than what they can gain by egging Trump.  I don't have enough information to back my assertions.  It is simply an alternative to assuming that Trump is stupid.  I welcome any information that can prove my guess either right or wrong.

I have to wonder how much control TPTB truly have in all this. Complex systems, despite beliefs to the contrary, cannot be totally controlled. Unknown feedback loops and emergent phenomena make it impossible. How many times in history have we seen some unknown unknown (even known knowns) throw everything sideways?

I know a lot of people on ZH believe TPTB will keep the Ponzi going until they deem it profitable to collapse it, but as Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe stated: Why look for conspiracies when stupidity can explain so much?

If wages are low then income streams are low i.e. dividends and rents.  If income streams are low then the only way to make big money is through capital gains.  Why would capital gains go up if the underlying income streams are low?  Whats that phrase again?  Extend and pretend.

In order for the nobility to pretend they are rich, they must keep the capital gains going up i.e. S&P and real estate.  The money is supposed to cycle through the plebs first but, using a combination of debt, derivatives, bail-outs and phoney valuations they can bypass the plebs and pour the money straight into capital gains with no underlying supporting income to justify those gains (hence the resort to non-GAAP accounting).  This is the idea that supports my assertion that the nobility will not dare let the market crash.  In order to let the market crash, they must impoverish themselves first.  Not gonna happen.  So when Trump claims credit for "the economy", it becomes a dare.  "Go on, crash the market.  I dare ya!"  How am I wrong?  Can the nobility get their loot out of the market and into an external safe haven without losing too much?  Why would the nobility bother crashing the market when they are making out like bandits and no one can stop them from continuing as they are?  All that leaves is a third option - some externality for which they can not cater - perhaps the loss of a vital physical resource.  This could easily slip through the radar due to things such as non-GAAP.  They lose track of the lies that keep the machine running, reality sneaks in and rears its ugly head - no-one is ready.  Obvious example, if a large jeweller / semiconductor firm takes delivery of tungsten, asks for their gold and then it turns out there is none readily available - but it could happen to any stock-piled commodity.  The price can be manipulated as much as you like, so long as there are stockpiles that are not needed.  When 100% is needed for production, the truth makes its presence known.

Re "The truth makes its presence known."  :  If not directly observable then desperation increases and the thefts become more brazen.

Yes, interesting development: http://directfromusanews.com/2018/01/20/latest-dead-body-tied-clintons-…

When it rains it pours.........

This would be easy to investigate further.  Do a DNA test on the unborn child of the murder victim.  Compare to Bill Clinton's DNA which the Fed's can request from Bill or just use their own as the Fed's should already have Bill's DNA on record (From a previous Federal investigation).

I would imagine Bill Clinton would be suspect number one.  Unborn DNA match would provide a motive.

Add one more to the list of Clinton victims.

Yawn...still the same stale thoughts from the Zeroes. Although I should know better than to expect anything better from the Zeroes. Creativity, ingenuity, and good sound humor have never been traits of the more conservative conservatives. They specialize more in endless whining and never, ever getting over a bad experience and moving on in life. Hell, I bet the vast majority of Zeroes still begrudge some girl from high school who turned them down for prom. On the bright side, it is nice to know that Obama (along with the Clintons, George Soros, etc...) owns and haunts you until the day you die. Whew, am I glad I am not living one of your diminished lives.

Trump isn't perfect, nor is any man.  I am thankful every day that he and not Hillary is our chief executive.  Trump is trying to mend much that has accumulated that negatively affects our nation.  He loves his country, he truly wants to improve opportunity across the board for all to prosper.  His ego is on his sleeve for all to see, not hidden and lied about like Hers and all the other do-gooder politicians that pretend to be virtuous simply to be reelected while screwing the American taxpayers.
