Is the US Dollar Set to Crash?

All good things must eventually come to an end.

Yes, even the mightiest of empires could meet their maker sooner or later.

The United States’ republican experiment has been nothing short of spectacular. Starting out as a yeoman republic founded on the principles of limited government and the rule of law, the US became the most prosperous civilization in human history in less than two centuries.

However, the principles that largely made it great — free markets, limited government, and division of powers — have largely been abandoned over the course of the last century. The creation of the Federal Reserve, the imposition of an income tax, the prosecution of never-ending wars, and the emergence of a massive administrative state, have turned a once humble republic into a veritable empire.

The US’s imperial transformation initially brought untold prosperity as it stood out as the sole industrial survivor after World War II. However, that prosperity was fleeting. In time, the consolidation of the US welfare state, decades of easy money, and the launch of several military expeditions abroad have put the country on the predictable path of imperial overreach.

On the monetary front, all eyes are on the US dollar. It has been the pillar of the international economic order. However, like all currencies employed by an empire, the dollar has taken a beating through the Federal Reserve’s constant push for monetary expansion.

With the rise of multipolarity, the likes of China and Russia are also beginning to challenge the US dollar’s primacy. Although a viable competitor to the US dollar has not fully surfaced, a combination of internal and external factors may make the dollar’s days as the top currency a thing of the past.

It remains to be seen when that will happen.

In the meantime, the dollar could be on the verge of a significant crash.  In his most recent video, George Gammon details how this economic shock could go down.

Tune in here to learn how the dollar could be in for a nasty downturn in the next year or so.
